Hey there everyone! First poll in a while, huh? And today it's apparently on an important subject.
Lorika's busy planning all of the new redux stuff for the guild, contacting artists all over the place to see who's willing to lend their skills, and she suddenly realised...
...The new homepage. After a lot of thought and searching, she's got an artist to cover it, but...
She hasn't got a clue who's going to be featured on it.
Originally, there wasn't a problem, because EVERYONE was going to be featured in a gigantic headshot tower. It was meant to emphasise the fact that this is a guild of friends first and foremost, but that couldn't be organised, so she had to think of something else.
So, now we need one or two people to be featured on the homepage.
Who should this person be? Obviously, a person who exemplifies what we're all about here. Someone who's always happy to help and contribute and gives the guild their all. (Someone who's pretty and happy enough to pose on the front page, too, ehehe...)

I didn't want to make a choice like this myself, firstly because I'm stumped, secondly because I didn't really think it was down to me to decide who gets the honour. You guys' opinion means everything to me, and is constantly shaping the guild into what YOU want it to be. This IS a guild of friends, and I'm not going to make a choice without giving you guys a say, too.
So there you have it. A few likely candidates have been listed in the Poll, but go ahead and suggest your own. It can be an account holder or a roleplay character, or an NPC such as... well, of course, the Overseer. Except the only limit here is that male characters aren't preferred by the artist, so females are desired more.
We know you guys will make the right decision. Have fun discussing your options!

If I had a preference, hmm... Well, I DON'T think I would prefer to see any version of myself (i.e Lorika) on the front page. *shudder* It's a little pompous, I think, and I'd be embarrassed >< Which is why I didn't automatically just go for that and cut out this whole choosing thing altogether.
I'm actually leaning towards Stephanie. If we're going to have to cut the "FRIENDSHIP" aspect, I'd also like to cut out the "competition" aspect. I don't want anyone feeling bad because they didn't get their face up on the front page. Steff, as an NPC, is a neutral figure. And, as a cheerleader and poster child for the upcoming Mascot class, she seems like a cute, sweet and appropriate option. I think she'd really bring something bubbly and lively to the homepage.
So there's my two cents!

I'd go for Coline, myself; she's pretty representative of the guild, at least face-wise, if we could get her to straighten up once in a while... And smile.
As much as I'd like to vote for my own characters (Narcissist!), I think catpeople might be offputting to some people on the very first page.
So yeah, Coline and Steph might be good candidates!

The Overseer should be one of the two. It helps to have a figure that an outsider will recognize. Not everyone is familiar with ATE, nor is everyone in the guild for the RP, so having him on there would be more welcoming, I think.
@Bapp- They're NPCs in the RP.

Bapp Pogum Sooo... Lorika has three options in the poll? What do you mean? I only have Lorika, and I don't want her on the homepage XD I think you're misunderstanding the concept of an NPC. I made them to flesh things out, but they're not mine. They belong to everyone and no one. @Nii Yeah, that's an idea I was thinking about. He'll be an accompanying figure if he's there. I'm not sure if I agree with the "welcoming" sentiment, though. He may be familiar, but the symbolism and reminders of the war still linger and divide people. So really, there's opportunity to scare away as many as he could attract. My vote is still behind the fresh, neutral figure, but he's still an option of course. 4laugh

As to anybody else, I really don't have a preference, although someone well-known should probably be avoided for numerous reasons (like 'oh yeah I'm important I'm on there ASKDFJ!')

I doubt people would even bother searching for a BOO guild and would want to get into an RP that revolves around the Demonbusters event if it still bothered them to this day. My concern is that people might get confused or mistake the guild for something else if an unfamiliar figure is put up on the front page.
And it just doesn't seem so much The Benevolent Order without the Overseer there. I mean, he's the one who brought us all here in the first place, he's the main reason why we started up this guild, and he's the most neutral figure as far as activities in the guild are concerned. So I still think he deserves the slot if there's only going to be one.

I got that he'd be one of the two if there were two slots; what I was saying was that I still think he should be the one featured on the front page if there was only going to be one slot, for reasons stated a few posts back. Anyway, those are just my thoughts on it.
