I go to an Evangelical Free church, and sometimes I listen, but most of the time I don't. My mom says that she doesn't like what they teach in the church because it's not exactly true. I can't really remember what she said, but she said she wants to go to a different church. In the mean time, what should I do?
.Listen in Chruch, read the bible and worship God,
.Or go to Church, don't listen, and read the bible and worship God?

Your best option is to go with your family while you are still able. Continue to read the Bible, and certainly worship God. One thing I would add to that is to bathe the entire situation in prayer. Get your mother involved in that, too.

It is always best to listen to what is being preached. But do not take everything they say just because their a pastor or minister. Take what they say and compare it to what God says. Read whatever they referance and make a judgement for yourself. Also, don't take what other people say, even if it is your mother. Make your OWN decisions and make your OWN assassments. Good luck and God bless.

I've been going to Evangelical Free churches for as long as I can remember (not very long) and have noticed that those really differ in teaching.
I've been to a bunch of different kinds of churches (Lutheran, Evangelical, Evangelical Free, Baptist, Nondenominational...) and heard their teaching and have found that it's really not fair to generalize by denomination.
I think you should go with what Black_Wolfs said: listen with discernment. Read the rest of the passages from the Word that they're reading and pray about what they're saying. Just take it as any other teaching--your mother is just as human as the teacher. Also remember: doctrine is what the Word says; theology is what people say about what the word says; only doctrine matters.
