Tyyne was a rather healthy eater; she ate fruits, she ate vegetables, but she absolutely hated meat. The very sight of it tended to make her sick. Her sister loved cheeseburgers, and Xai would eat the occasional meal with some kind of meat product...but Tyyne? She couldn't stand it. She wasn't big on sugary sweets either. They were okay but eh...she could live without them. Today she was just craving them though. She wanted--no, needed them. Tyyne wasn't sure of what they wanted, but they had placed that could help her decide! Such as...Sunshine Bakery? What a cute name! She giggled to herself. A place with such a cute name must be really nice, so she'd trust it!
The deer girl carefully pushed the door open, looking around as she walked in. This was something she hated about most doors, her body was so awkwardly shaped that it was hard for her to hold onto the door and keep it open long enough for the rest of her body to get past it; it wasn't uncommon for poor Tyyne to accidentally shut a door on her behind. It hurt. Somehow she managed it this time, the smells of assorted baked good drawing her in quickly. It smelled so good! "Mmm~!" Tyyne wandered closer to the counter, looking at all the different foods on displayed. So delicious! But which one did she want?!

Bug was helping Anna in the back by sorting the newest shipment of ingrediants. They went through tons of flour and Anna Maria's back wasn't as good as it used to be. Bug believe that by carrying and lifting the heavy stuff was just training so she was happy to do it. Anna had popped out for a bit, she had given a reason, but Bug forgot why, so she was in charge of the store.
Bug barely heard the door open but the noise of someone feet on the store's floor was what made her react. " OH a customer!" she told herself and made her way to the front desk to see what they wanted.
It was to her surprise that she saw it was Tyyne, she had grown too. Bug sucked in and gave her best store intro she could for her friend. "Welcome to Sunshine Bakery, how may I help you Tyyne" she said with a smile.

Maybe a cake? Oh, but not a whole cake. There was no way Tyyne could eat a whole cake. Some cookies, perhaps? Melon bread? What was that? She'd never tried that before! Who could help her though? She didn't see any workers! Tyyne looked around, peeking over the counter and even trying to lean over enough to safely look behind it when she heard footsteps. Her ears flicked and she lifted her head, gasping softly at who she saw. "Hello, Bug!" This girl frustrated her, this girl drove her crazy, and made her sick to her stomach with the way she ate bugs but...there was absolutely no reason to be mean or anything like that. Tyyne could never do such a thing! No way!
"Do you work here?" Wow! That was so nice! "Um...I..I don't know! I wanted something sweet, but I don't know what I should pick. I don't eat things like this very often." She admitted to the bird girl, scratching at her cheek a little. Tyyne curiously looked Bug over since it'd been awhile since she last saw her at that party on the island, pleased to find the girl was looking well; she was growing nicely, she looked healthy...though...her clothes were still too big for her! What?! Did she not take Tyyne's advice to mind?! B..but why?! Ugh. "How have you been, Bug?"

"Yup, I do! I like the cakes. If you want something sweet, I can cut you a piece if you don't want the whole thing." Anna Maria taught her how. She had said it was okay for her to do it without her around because the knife wasn't sharp.
Bug had been told that if people came in and weren't sure what they wanted she should give them advise on what to choose. Which was more of an excuse for the two of them to "taste test" anything new she made up, and to do it often, in case their palette changed. "You might want to try one of these, Tyyne." Bug pointed out some of the fruit covered cakes and the carrot cake. Somehow she got the feeling that Tyyn'd like them.
"I've been good~" she said with a pause. oh right gotta ask them back"How have you been, Tyyne." being polite was hard.

Oh, so Bug could cut the cakes? That was good! As long as she didn't cut herself, right? How interesting that she worked here! Maybe Tyyne could get a job? But...what could she do? All she knew how to do was grow flowers! Oh well, she could think more on this later on. Much later on. She peeked at what Bug was recommending for her to try, making a small sound as she gazed upon the cakes. Oooh! Those looked really good! Carrot cake? She'd never had that before! "So I can just...try them? To see if I like them?" This was obviously the girl's first time shopping somewhere other than a flower shop by herself. She wasn't quite sure what to do. But if Bug was here then it wouldn't be so bad, the girl could help her!
"I've been okay! Been growing gardens...very pretty ones too! I-I think so, anyway." Bug's shirt still didn't fiiiit. Tyyne eyed it with a bit of a pout, trying to peek around her a little to see if it even had openings in this shirt that didn't fit for her wings. That had been one of Tyyne's arguments, after all. Sigh. She stepped up closer to the counter and folded her arms on it, smiling warmly at Bug. There were no bugs for her to eat here, she'd be saved from the stomachache! Right? "Can I try that one with the strawberries? It looks really good!" She chirped, pointing to what she was talking about.

"Umm.." No one had ever asked that before but the rule was they couldn't have anything unless they gave her money first. "I'm not suppose to give you a piece unless you pay for it first. But if you buy a small piece and like it, you can have the rest for cheaper." that was allowed and happened often, Mrs Opthof even wrote out a sign for Bug to follow as the price list for the amount of left over cake pieces.
Bug cocked her head "Maybe I could come see them sometime" she asked. She was gonna ask what they were but remembered how badly Tyyne was at explaining things she really wanted to know about. Leaving it at having Tyyne show her later suited her. Bug smiled back, and no Bug was not wearing a shirt that fit her wings the way Tyyne wanted them to.
In fact Anna Maria thought about cutting holes in that girl's shirt too, but had a quick flash of better judgement. She thought of how the girl, as sweet as she was, would forget how wide her wings actually were and would start knocking everything over. So the 'unfitted' shirt stayed whole, and Anna Maria never brought it up.
Nodding, "Sure you can, it'll be 2.34 for a piece. People really liked that one it was one of the shops specialties, so having it ordered often, the price was grained into her brain.

"Oh! Okay!" Guess it was different from the ice cream shop. It made sense, a tiny spoonful of icecream was a lot different from a slice of cake no matter how small. It wasn't any problem at all~. Xai had given her lots of money today; Tyyne often wondered where this money that Xai made for them came from but she never asked, it didn't seem like something a girl her age should be worried about. But it was a very nice offer! Try it, and then if you liked it it was cheaper. Very nice offer indeed.
Tyyne's face lit up when Bug showed interest in her garden, clapping her hands together and nodding with wide eyes. "Oh yes! That would be wonderful! The sooner the better, though. Autumn is starting to make them wilt..." She frowned a little at that, her ears drooping slightly like she herself was wilting along with the flowers. Sigh. Bug was kind of silly to think Tyyne wouldn't be able to tell Bug about her garden. If there was one thing Tyyne could go on for hours about it was her flowers. She'd just have to learn some fall and winter plants she could grow. Pumpkins for Halloween, maybe? And holly and poinsettias for Christmas? Oooh! That sounded like fun! Maybe it wouldn't be so bad after all! And she could send all her friends flowers and...gah! She was getting ahead of herself. Silly Tyyne!
Tyyne reached down for the little purse hanging from her hip and getting out the money Bug was asking for. Oh but she didn't have exact change...oh dear. She had a bit more than she needed to give Bug, putting the money on the counter. Would it be okay? She didn't need change! "Just one piece to start then~. It looks really good!" But she had to see if she liked it!

Oh, good she understood, Bug was relieved she didn't want to scare Tyyne away. Even though she was bigger and older than Bug, she still seemed fragile. Maybe that was a deer-girl thing, because the people she's met thus far seem better off, poor Tyyne. Bug would just have to look out for her when she could.
Bug smiled when Tyyne clapped her hands an nattered on about showing it to her. She was glad she wasn't gonna try to confuse her by explaining about her garden. Simply seeing it would do. She would have asked about autumn and why it'd make them wilt but she'd leave that for another day.
Bug looked at the gold that was put on the table, that... that wasn't the exact change. Bug's faced twisted as she tried to think what the right coins were to give back as she thumbed in to till. It was a good thing Anna had taught her how to count coins, but was just the thinking back on it that Bug had to take her time with.
Bug handed Tyyne her money. She pulled out a plate and took the cake out of the display to cut it. "This one is one of my favourites, lots of people like it too. Anna Maria says it's the shop's specialty."

Tyyne watched quietly as Bug worked at counting the money, tilting her head a little at how slowly Bug was going about it; it wasn't an impatient thought, she was watching the girl's face and seeing how long it took her to do it...was she new to counting? Or was it just because it was money? Oh dear, did Tyyne give too much so now it would confuse her and...and...oh dear. Oops! Did Tyyne need to do it again so she could have an easier time? Or maybe she could just tell Bug to keep the change...yes! Yes, that was genius! Like a tip! Tyyne smiled and gently pushed back the change she was given. "It's alright, you can keep that~." She told her honestly, her gaze turning down to the cake. Oooh! So it was one of Bug's favorites too! Good, good. She was glad that she had favorite foods outside of bugs! Tyyne shivered mentally at the memories. No! No thinking about that or you'd lose your appetite!
"Anna Maria? Is she your boss?" Tyyne asked as she took the cake whenever it was offered to her, trying a bite of it. Hmm..ooooh! Her eyes widened and she squealed delightedly, trying another bigger bite and wiggling a bit. Eeeeee! "Its delicious~!" She'd be very happy to buy more of this for herself!

Bug's smile dropped a bit when Tyyne told her to keep the money, all that work at trying to count wasted. And what was she going to do with it she already could have any food in the shop. She simply reopened the cash box and placed the money back inside. What a waste, she reiterated in her mind.
placing the cake in front of Tyyne, she did smirk when Tyyne tasted it. It was good and she could tell Tyyne liked it. "Yup, she's a biiiiiig old lady, she's got 7 kids, I've never met any of them, she told me she's got some grand kids that are almost as old as me though." Bug liked Anna Maria, she was nice and she talked a lot.

Had Tyyne known what Bug was thinking she would have apologized profusely and taken back what she had said, but she couldn't read minds! So Bug was out of luck. Sorry! She listened with genuine interest as Bug explained who Anna Maria was and who she was like, her eyes going wide when she said she had seven kids. Seven?! Seven children?! Wow! A-and grand kids? Wow! "A...and...they get along? I only have a sister, and for awhile she was very, very mean to me..." Tyyne frowned for a moment but did her best to hide it by distracting herself with another bite of her cake. Stupid Evari. That jerk. She was making good on her last chance though..so...maybe she wasn't so mean after all.
"Do you have any brothers or sisters, Bug?" They hadn't talked about family much, huh? They hadn't talked about much of anything at all except bugs...food...and Bug's shirt. Which still didn't fit.
No, she was never going to give up.

"I don't know. She told me they have a gathering every once in a while on certain days. The shop closes and she goes out of town." Bug also knew that none of them wanted to take over the shop and they don't come to it because it reminds them too much of their late father. But that didn't really seem like it would help answer Tyyne's question.
Woah, Tyyn had a sister? They must have lived in a very big house, Bug assumed Tyyne's family had to all be deer people of course.
"Nope, I don't have a family." she admitted. She'd have one, one day, if she was lucky enough, but for now she did without.

A gathering? Like a family reunion? How fun! Tyyne had never been to one of those before, but her family all lived together so they really didn't need to have reunions since they saw each other every day. Oh well. At Bug's admittance Tyyne's eyes widened and her jaw dropped, her ears perked up high. What?! Bug...WHAT?!
"You don't have a family?! H-how can that be? Who takes care of you? How do you eat? Where do you live? How can you...h..how can you...but...wh-what?!" Tyyne nearly dropped her cake in her shock, gripping the plate tighter. Bug had been so little when they met, she couldn't have been any older than Vance! So young...and she still was so young. How could she...why...how could someone let a girl so small fend for herself!? She was just like Ryuusei! This was bad. This was very bad. Bug needed a home, she needed a family. Could Tyyne find one for her? "That's not good, Bug! Y..you should have a family! You deserve one!"

Watching Tyyne make her emotions very clear with her body language, Bug slightly regretted telling her about not having a family."I..it's not that big of a deal. I live with Wei, and we eat fine. I'm not suppose to tell people where we live though it's............ top secret. Bug pencil fingered her mouth to show that her lips were sealed with that information.
Bug shook her head when Tyyne had something to disagree with she wasn't sure she could convince her that it wasn't that bad. That whole shirt issue went no where last time, Bug recalled. "I'll have one someday, don't worry, I'm fine." she told Tyyne calmly it was something Bug was sure about, the way she was sure she'd fly one day too. It was all about getting there, the journey somehow the most important thing.

"Oh..." Tyyne seemed to calm down at the answer she was given, blinking a bit. Wei? Who was Wei? "So...you do have a family. Goodness, Bug. Don't scare me like that." She sighed, giggling a bit and tilting her head. It was alright that she didn't tell her where she lived as long as she had a place to live. Bug had scared her so much making her think she had no family at all. Did she not think of this Wei person as her parent? How strange, but then again Evari also called their mother by her name and not 'mom'. Tyyne was never quite sure why but Xai never seemed to mind so she didn't say anything about it.
Tyyne smiled at Bug, eating some more of the delicious cake. "You want children of your own one day? That's adorable!" Honestly Tyyne didn't mean it in any insulting fashion. It was cute how someone so young already wanted to start their own family! She admired Bug, Tyyne wasn't sure if she was even capable of having children the way she was!
