It was a seasonable autumn day in the Soquili lands as a dark coated filly moved fluidly through an open field. The tall grass ticking her under carriage as she picked up her dainty hooves in proud, high stepping strides. Everything about the little female shouted confidence and poise, from the lofty carriage of her head to the way her short, foal's tail swayed. She certainly seemed to carry herself with a sense of purpose, being the last (and very best) daughter of the elder, Cyrus. Bestowed with such a title Alokii believed herself to be fully deserving of the finer things in life--and she was prepared to do everything in her power to see that she received such fine things. Even if that meant muscling her three elder brothers out of the way!
This breezy afternoon the little princess had escaped her hovering nanny and much older niece, Caelyndei, to enjoy a pleasurable stroll beneath open skies dotted with the occasional puff of white to disrupt the otherwise endless blanket of blue. A quiet stream trickled somewhere nearby, perhaps at the far edge of the pasture she strolled through for the sound was faint. In the distance at her left shoulder a dark forest freckled with thin shafts of light, where they managed to break through the dense leaf cover, beckoned Alokii's attention. Silver gray gaze drifting to watch the trees as she jogged along, half expecting to see the flicker of shadow creatures amongst the thick trunks. An adventure seemed to be beckoning her, but the midnight filly had never been the sort to pay mind of the desires of anyone but herself.
