Elegancia's life was now officially ruined.
Nevermind the fact that she was forced to attend school with a bunch of snobby girls pretending to be classy and ugly, poor girls on scholarship (yes, this was Elegancia's honest opinion of Crystal Academy-- she wanted to be homeschooled, but noooo), but now she was denied a proper graduation. And it was not even her fault, as Elegancia had fallen into a coma. Honestly, were people bereft of their humanity and decency, or something? In all honesty, Elegancia would have preferred to take another year of school with the harlots than take an exam and be denied the rite of passage into adulthood. Unfortunately, her father would have nothing to do with this-- he expected her to graduate, and on time. No shenanigans. (He used the word shenanigans on the phone)
Of course she passed her exam, since she was just that intelligent and whatnot, but receiving her certificate in the mail was just... Not fun. Part of her blamed Father, since it was he who had forced her to take the exam and forsake the graduation ceremony. What next? Would he deny her a wedding ceremony too?! He probably would-- he'd probably want her to go down to the courthouse and get unionized, or something!! Elegancia lounged on the loveseat, arms and legs crossed haughtily with Foochie resting in her lap, as she thought about how much she hated her father at that very moment. She did! And you know what? She was going to call him and just let him know how she felt for once!
Picking up the phone and dialing the number, Elegancia sat and waited for him to pick up. It rang and rang and rang and rang. No answer. How could he?! She really wanted to lay into him-- how cheap and selfish he was, how he never paid any attention to her, how mad she was-- but then Elegancia though it over, and it was about her graduating, not about how much she disliked him. At the moment, atleast, because Elegancia loved her father-- but not necessarily her father's actions.
"Oh, Foochie, my little puppy," she said in a baby voice as she stroked the pooch, "sometimes, you're the only one I can turn to. Or atleast, it feels like it." He looked up at her intently, as if he was listening and understanding what she was saying, as his little tail wagged side-to-side. "Was it so much to have wanted to graduate properly? I wanted so much to be able to dress up for a momentous occasion in my life..." Elegancia placed Foochie on the floor and wiped herself off of his fur.
She would get over it later, but doing things improperly was almost unforgivable in Elegancia's book. There was a part of her that was glad her father hadn't answered, as she probably would have said some pretty disrespectful things to him. That wouldn't of been a good situation. Foochie, Elegancia's dachshund, pattered along behind her as she trudged back to her bedroom.
Maybe she'd feel better in the morning.
