Lightningkit sat in the nursery on that cold day of leafbare feeling hopeless, why you ask? well lightningkit is blind, sad I know, but that doesn't prevent her from trying to be the best warrior she can be, if skullstar would let her, if anyone would let her, the bee-brained warriors thought her helpless, that she could do nothing for herself. 'they all have heads full of mouse poo to think I'm useless they're wrong!' she thought standing up an creeping towards the nursery entrance, she stopped a mouselength away, the vibrations travelling to her paws helped her know that another cat was approaching, not just any cat, that scent belonged to a certain cat, namely emberstrike, oh how lightningkit admires him! she loves everything about him, his soft,gentle scent, his judgement on fairness, and his kind words, he is possibly the only warrior who didn't give her any sympathy (on her request, she asked every cat in the clan and they said they wouldn't...but only they did anyway!) "where are you off to?" emberstrike asked "I want to touch the snow!" lightningkit squeaked, emberstrike purred with amusement "I know it sounds silly, but it smells so fresh and so cool, Emberstrike, where does it come from?" lightningkit asked "I know it sounds silly but I really want to know..."
"it's okay, after all you have a right to be curious of the gifts starclan gives us, come on, I need to go on a patrol, but I'll ask Snowfeather to take you" emberstrike mewoed, lightningkit hid her dismay, not only because emberstrike couldn't take her, also because snowfeather would have to, now snowfether, was one of the "poo-brained" warriors, and probably the worst, sure she was nice enough but she seemed to think that lightningkit needed help with everything, she was so wrapped up in her thoughts, she hadn't realized emberstrike had left and snowfeather was in his place, snowfeather put her tail on lightningkit's head "I'll guide you" she meowed, lightningkit shook her tail off "I DON'T need to be guided around"
"but you can't see..."
"I see with my paws!"
"okay fine"
judging by the sound of snowfeather's footsteps, she was now standing beside lightingkit "You don't need to be so close either!!" lightningkit said annoyed, snowfeather didn't seem to notice, or she ignored it, like the other "poo-brained" warriors did, the two she-cats set off out of the nursery, lightningkit squeaked with excitement as the soft cold snow crunched beneith her paws
"SNOWFEATHER! why is that kit out of the nursey?!" the voice of skullstar rang into lightningkit's ears, he said the words "that kit" like they meant "crowfood"
