Lily's class at her new school had decided it would be a great idea to go on a field trip. Personally, Lily wondered what the point of even attending a part-time schooling program for 'special' children like her, if they weren't even going to spend the whole time in school learning. She could take trips on her own time with Lucifel, so why was this necessary? On the upside, at least the Art Gallery they'd been brought to study was less boring than her Gaian History Class and something she could appreciate much better without her best friend present (Fel would probably try to touch everything).
They'd been set out to look at exhibits on their own and write notes on them. Because of this, Lily was standing in front of a painting of flowers in a field and doodling it in her notebook. It was probably a very grand statement about the world in some sense, but the girl was more interested at present in figuring out how someone had made what looked like just random blotches of paint up close, look like such a pretty picture from farther away. That was kind of neat!

Tyyne really preferred to be outdoors, where she could feel the grass beneath her hooves and grow her pretty flowers and just...man, she loved nature. Plus it was kind of awkward for her to be inside with lots of crowds and limited room to move around, her backside tended to hit things if she wasn't careful. There was also the fact that she tended to slip on smooth tile which was not fun. But there was one problem...she hadn't watched the weather forecast this morning, so imagine her surprise when it suddenly began to pour rain!
Tyyne didn't have an umbrella! Or even a proper raincoat! Sure she had a light jacket for the cooling weather but it didn't protect her from the rain at all, she was soaking wet! And so Tyyne bolted into the nearest building trying to save herself from getting too wet; it wasn't that she cared about her appearance but she didn't want to get sick! And so she found herself inside the art gallery filled with children and people all around her. Oh dear...she...she was soaking wet. What if she got the paintings and things wet? No one seemed to be kicking her out and scolding her for coming inside wet, there were plenty of people doing the very same thing. And at least the air conditioning was rather low so she barely felt it, but she did still feel it enough to make her shiver a little. She took off her coat and looked around uncertainly, wandering through the gallery. These paintings and statues sure were pretty!
Eventually she found herself standing in front of a portrait of a field of flowers, her eyes wide with delight as she looked upon it in awe. So pretty! She wished she could paint like this! For now she didn't even notice the blue girl beside her though she did suddenly shiver and hug herself. Did it just get colde--oh...nevermind...now she felt really warm. That was strange! Did they suddenly turn on the heat or something?

At the sound of hooves, Lily turned and was very surprised to see a person with the lower body of a deer standing right next to her, dripping and shivering. That was definitely not something - or someone, rather - that the girl had expected to see in the art museum. Especially not dripping wet - though if she looked beyond the other girl, she could see the rain outside the window.
"Hi there..." she said quietly, looking over Tyyne's shivering form. "Are you okay?"

"Huh?" Tyyne blinked and turned her attention to the girl speaking to her, blinking and nodding. Huh...this girl was covered with blue! Evari would probably like her. "Oh, yes. I'm fine...just got caught in the rain is all." She turned enough to point to a nearby window. The rain was so thick and heavy it was hard to see anything outside but the rain!
Tyyne looked around after that, spotting all the children everywhere. Wow! How come they were all here? "I don't think I've ever seen so many children like this before." All gathered in one place? It seemed like an unlikely place for children to just go on their own, and everyone was dry...so they were here before the rain started? How interesting!

"You look cold. Do you need a coat?" Lily asked gently, thinking of the warm garments in the racks by where they'd come in. "It might help you stop shivering."
Her eyes followed the deer's towards the class, "We're on a field trip. It's supposed to be enlightening."
