What Did WWE Officials Make of the 2.8 RAW Rating?

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that there was an “immediate reaction” to the 2.8 rating which RAW drew on 9/20 and there are some individuals backstage second guessing the decision to put the WWE Championship on Randy Orton although many are giving him the benefit of the doubt at this stage. WWE did anticipate a decline in ratings with the start up of the National Football League last week and brought in guest host Chad Ochocinco of Cincinnati Bengals to help draw interest to the flagship show with a the big main event of John Cena vs. Randy Orton on 9/13.
