Do you not like something about the guild? Or do you have some great idea that might liven things up around here? Well, post away! As the owner, I would love to hear any and all feedback, since it's my job to keep this guild as awesome and fun as possible. biggrin

What about monthly/bi-monthly cosplay contests? There can be a very small entry fee (which would be donated to the guild), and then the winner receives. And there'd be voting in the guild, of course. Just trying to infuse some life in here.

Like... pick one of your costumes, and have people vote in many areas. Or, do look-alike contests. Or best prop. Like, just do themes. And once a person wins with one costume, they can't enter with that one ever again, and they have to wait out the next contest.

I'm liking the contest ideas, especially the themed suggestion (best prop, look alike, etc). To go along with that, perhaps for us poorer folks a contest with a price limit? Some of my stuff just couldn't compete since I don't always have the funds to purchase the materials I'd want to use. The only problem with that might be that not many people might be willing to spend time on something if they think they could do it better another, more expensive way. Perhaps if there's enough of a difference in how much people spend, having two categories, low cost and high cost.
Just trying to look out for us poor college folks... sweatdrop

You can't spend any money or sew, but you have to provide a reference pic. I, too, like the idea of specific categories, too, such as wigs, props, shoes, etc. Avatar cosplay would be fun too, but I just don't think there are too many possibilities. sweatdrop

Let's see, for conventions, binding, how-to for the new cosplayers, store listings, ideas... hey, how-to for ANYTHING... I can't talk very well, sorry, but I'd be happy to help in any way I can. How about a 50/50 raffle?
Half of what the guild takes in for a Cosplay Image Contest would go to the winners. The rules for the image contest could be based upon the accuracy of the costume (which should be of you), and the quality of the picture.
Of the half of the total entry fees collected (which could be pretty low, like 50G) set aside the First place winner gets half. The Second place winner gets half of that, and so on. Just an idea.

In quiet I shall sleep, without giving my first cry...Have... a subforum topic for Skits.
And... a monthly banner/ad contest. People contribute banners/ads for teh guild... and they recieve around a 1k-.7k gold. (Mind you, that's only 1,000-700)
...And maybe the income for prizes will strictly be from guild donations. If there're insufficient donation funds, no contest. Or there could be a fee for entering...
Ahh, just some lame ideas. But I would very much like to see the subforum topic for Skits there. [What is your fate...? Why are you here...? Your Reason for Being ...]
