It was a casual day in the streets of Eyris, minus a few looks from citizens that laguz had not seen much of since Tellius. Guards were on patrol, rounding up all laguz to make sure they got registered. A pair knew that several non-humans worked at the hostess club, so they first went there.

As they entered, they first saw the cat, Lyre, taking orders (or whatever she was doing- this is assuming she went to work. Ignore if this is wrong.) and decided to go to her first. "Hey, you. Why haven't you gotten registered yet, non-human? You should have gotten it done right away so that the monitoring could begin. Go now or we'll take you, ourselves, got it?"

One of the guards looked around and saw a snake woman going about her duties as well. She applied to the new law, too. "Hey, you too! Come on, now. And where are your guild uniforms?"

The hostess club was not the only place soldiers were, either. "Hey you!" a soldier yelled, as he came up to a stand covered with various furs. They glared at the scruffy looking man. "We found out you're from Mordache. Lord Rogvald wants us to take you in for questioning." The soldier held up the rope. "Hold still, now. Don't make this harder than it needs to be for you, spy!" The soldiers approached the man, preparing to bind him.

Elsewhere, a soldier stood in the path of a pink haired cleric that was strolling down the street. She probably wasn't even looking where she was going. She just went on as if expecting for everyone to move out of her way.

Once she was in front of the guard, he looked down at her. "...No guild uniform, unlawful possession of magical tomes and staves." The guard shook his head. "Little girl, if you plan to practice magic, you will need to complete one year of service in the army." He grabbed her arm. "As for the lack of uniform, come with me..."

The war had caused many Learanians and other-worlders to flee to Eyris, the last sure safe place in Learania. A certain young looking girl was no exception. However, that girl was no ordinary girl- it was discovered by word of mouth that she was actually a dragon.

After learning this, some guards tracked her down and pointed their spears at her. "Begon, dragon! You heard the laws... your kind has been banned from this city! Leave now or we will make you leave!"

At the western gate of the city, a group of guards were stationed to keep track of everyone who came and went. It had been fairly uneventful. Several guild members had left and not come back, Captain Vaida had left not too long ago, but other than that nothing much. A war was on, outside visitors would not be coming.

However, there did happen to come a lone swordsman with messy brown hair. He was stopped at the entrance and the guards identified him as Edward, a mercenary tied to the guild. "Coming back from a job, kid? We'll have to search your things. Hand them over."

(This topic is for FS to mess with people and to help give them a reason to join the resistance.
If you do not want FS to mess with you, then ignore it.
If you DO want FS to mess with you and give you a reason to do stuff, then post in here, making sure they have a reason to mess with you.)

Tiki had not been in Eyris for a long time, and one can only get so far on the generosity of nice people. The people she had traveled with had other things to do. Like fighting in a war.

At the moment, Tiki had no roof over her head. She still had her long brown shawl, and it was still in good enough shape to obscure her dress and keep her fairly warm. She had not worn her tiara for quite some time, although she still had it hidden away. Things like that became annoying and got in the way in times like this. Her hair was messy and her clothes were dirty.

Despite all of this, she still looked very well fed.

Things were chaotic around here, but none of it meant anything to her immediate situation Citizenship was a concept that never occurred to her. Even if it did, why would she bother? She didn't live here, after all. Tiki only had to fend for herself temporarily. Of course.

Someone said that Dragons weren't allowed to live here anymore. But with a lack of direction and knowledge, what would she do?

"Begone, dragon! You heard the laws... your kind has been banned from this city! Leave now or we will make you leave!"

She froze in her tracks, and whipped her head around. Responding to "Dragon" was evidence enough.

"You! Why aren't you registered!" Lyre had her pen sticking out of her mouth as she balanced a tray of cookies and hot chocolate. The thing about working at the Hostess Club, was, some people didn't realize that the ears and tail were real. It was why they still had customers while the rest of the city were being racist jerks.

"Ecscuthe me?" ...Pen in mouth. She shifted the pen to the side of her mouth. "Excuse me? Can you like, wait a minute? I'm kind of working right now," she shoved her way past them, quite eloquently, in her pink and white apron, to serve customers who were becoming increasingly uncomfortable.

They were EXTREMELY understaffed at the moment- seriously, their bartender disappeared completely, their chef as well as fellow waitress Blossom had recently had a stint in being arrested- the only people working right now were, go figure, not completely "human." At least the people of note. Lyre wiped her gloved hands on her apron, tucking the empty tray under her arm before bustling over to another table to pick up some empty dishes to bring to the kitchen.

"Like I said, we're working. You know, like what you're supposedly doing right now? These are our work uniforms," she ducked into the kitchen, dumping things in the sink, a deep frown forming on her face. This "monitoring" thing... was not kosher with her. Not at all.

...So she took off her heels and apron and stashed them in her employee cubby hole, put on her cloak, and dashed out the back door of the club.

♥ Super Awesome Ostian Noble Lady ♥

It wasn't long before people noticed that Serra stood out- that was to be expected! She was a noble woman of the cloth, a sublime example of what it meant to be Elimine's beloved servant while simultaneously assuring others that the life of the clergy didn't always mean sacrificing style! In her own, comfortable attire, she had stuck out like a bonfire in the middle of a starless night; the eyes that followed her out of shock and awe were quickly misinterpreted with 'shy' smiles and coy winks. These people clearly didn't know how to dress, law or not. Women were to be dressed with dignity, not with those atrociously tight busts and those short-cut skirts!

Oh, people moved. All sorts of people moved out of the way. It was only natural; she was fabulous, beautiful, amazing, pure, and modest. Of course people would want to move out of the way for someone so outwardly fantastic! With a walk that was almost ready to turn into an arrogant swagger, she continued this way through the street until one man refused to stay right in her path.

Truth be told, she nearly ran into him; it'd been nearly a mile since people had stopped her last, and she hadn't expected to be blocked so abruptly. With a quick jump, her pigtails did a little jump of their own in turn as the guard chastised her on her apparent 'faults'. For every word he uttered, her expression worsened- what was once a polite smile turned into a barely tolerant one; from there, it metamorphosed into pursed lips, careful neutrality, and spiraled down into a deluge of pouts and scowls.

However, she prided herself on holding her tongue.

Momentarily.

That ended the moment he touched her. From there on out, she let out a harsh, piercing scream, attempting to pull away from his grip with another high-pitched shriek. When this didn't immediately work, she attempted to reason with him, speaking in a fast paced manner as she wriggled in his grip like an eel in a fisherman's hands.

"Excuse me? I just got back from the army! I was a hero, you know! You let me go! This isn't the proper way to handle a lady! This is MY CLERICAL ATTIRE, you can't make me change it- do you want Elimine to strike us all down, you heathen?! And... UNIFORMS? Is that what you call them? Those clothes are hideous, they're filthy, they're out of style, they clash with my hair color and general decor, and have you seen the awful outfit you're wearing? For Elimine's sake, they could at least make them remotely fashionable, or fix something up for the women so that it DOESN'T look like they're going to a brothel or a pub, looking for this and that and... oh, Elimine, what did I say? Such sinful implications! I'm sorry holy mother, for I have sinned! I am a pure, chaste blossom, subjected to the horrors of the sinful nature of man and his horrendous fashion sense! Now, what was I-- oh right, back to what I was saying before! LET. ME. GO!"

If the man could hear anything after the tirade, it would be a miracle.

It had been awhile since Vaida and Valter had left. Though they had left to deliver a message to the “so-called” resistance, the guards guarding the west gate were keeping up their work, investigating people’s stuffs as well as looking at the documents. Before checking the mercenary, who came to enter Eyris, there was a terrible smell looming in the air.

The smell had the rotting stench as if something had crawl out of the sewer. Curious of where that horrid stench came from, the soldiers looked up to see a covered cart heading toward them. Sitting in the driver’s seat was a figure in black cape and dirty, ragged clothes, head hung low. It appeared that the smell had come from that cart.

Doing their orders, one of the guards raised his hand up. “Halt!”

Once the cart had stopped, the soldier went up to the driver. When he approached to the driver, he could see brown dried crusts on his cheeks. “State your business.”

User Image “Dumpin’ s**t.” A gruff voice answered.

“What?”

“Oy, ya ‘eer me! Ay dumpin’ s**t ‘utside af Eeiris! Don’t wan’ dah king tah cumplai’ ‘bout smellin’ s**t en Eeiris.”

“… WHAT?!” The guard replied. He couldn’t understand a word from what the driver was saying. The only word he could get from the driver was the word s**t. And he thought that those who worked in Watch had trouble speaking properly.

“Um, I think he said he's dumping s**t outside of Eyris.” The other guard spoke, trying to decipher what the driver said. The first guard remained quiet for a moment before rolling his eyes and raised his hand to the driver.

“Sir, show me your documents or we’ll going to search your cart.” The soldier ordered. He was not going to bother trying to understand what the driver was saying and trying to teach him how to speak a proper language. It would be better to read the documents than trying to decipher a word the driver was talking.

“’Lright, ‘lright. Ay’ll get ya bloodi papahs.” The driver replied as he searched for the documents. “Naw, w'ere did Ay puh eet.”

The driver placed his hands into his pockets, only to pull them out empty-handed. He pressed his hands against his chest and sides, to feel if the papers were tucked inside, but could not find it. The driver looked around him to see if he sat them, but the seat came bare. The driver rubbed his chin with his hand as he tried to figure out where he put the documents. It didn’t take long for the driver to figure out where he put it.

“Ah! Naw Ay remembah!” The driver exclaimed as he got up from his seat and jumped off the cart. The soldiers watched confusingly as the driver untied the rope that held the cover. When the driver finally untied the rope, he pulled the cover off the cart, letting the horrible stench of manure out into the open air. The soldiers scrunched their noses in disgust as they covered their mouths. It seemed that the driver wasn’t kidding about the s**t.

“Ay musta buri me papahs wit’ dah s**t.” The driver explained as he pulled out the shovel from the cart. “Would yew soldiehs like tah ‘elp me fine me papahs? All Ay need tah do es git en me cart, dump some s**t en dah street an’ ya searc’ me papahs.”

“No! No.” The soldier barked back as he pitched his nose. Although it was their duty to look at the documents and search their stuffs, they refused to search through manure. Not only did it smell horrible, but the thought of touching the manure and be smelled like s**t would be even worse. "Don't bother looking for your documents. It's probably dirty for us to see. I'm afraid you have to get yourself new documents before leaving Eyris."

"Wat? Ar' ya pullin' me wankers?! Ay'm nawt pullin' me cart back tah dah pallice an' arsk tah kin' er 'dvasir tah giv' me papah. Dey'll skin me up ef Ay don' dump s**t 'utside af Eeiris."

"... I'm sorry sir, but you do need new doc-"

"Oy, wat will 'e sah tah me ef Ay tell 'im dat ya won' lemme pass? Dah 'dvasir will bee mad ef Ay disobeh 'im."

The soldier kept his mouth quietly before the other soldier whispered in his ear to explain what the driver was saying. The soldier thought for a moment. He knew well that they had to follow their orders. It was their duty. But he was aware that the advisor was... 'persistent' if the orders were not carried. Maybe the driver bloke should get his documents from his boss.

"Sir, where do you work?" The soldier questioned.

"Ay werk en dah kascel, meintainin' dah stabahs af 'orses an' w'verns."

“..."

"I think he's saying he works in the castle, maintaining the stables."

"... Thank you, Rosco." The soldier replied to his comrade before turning to the driver. "Sir, I don't think you need to get us new documents. It seems that everything is in order. You can now leave.”

“Oy, es dat so?” The driver asked as he looked at the soldiers confused. He then tossed his shovel back into the cart. “Well den, bettah be best me wai. Don’t wan’ tah stink dah town ani longah.”

After covering the wagon and bid farewell to the soldiers, the driver took off, heading west.

After few hours of passing the FEFGA’s manor, where the building was far out of sight, and onto the mountain range, the driver let out a merry laughter. Pulling the hood away from his head, the driver looked back at the country through his masked eyes.

“Oh Learania, so justice and fair.” The Cheshire assassin smirked as he looked at the view he was about to leave. “Although I wish to stay and play onto your stage, I must say I have to bid farewell to you. Oh yes, indeed I am. Oh, how I will miss your performance while I’m away, especially the tragic scene of my dear actor. Oh woe is me. However, I must not wait longer if I were to accomplish this task.”

With a whim of a snapping reins and the cheery command to the horse, the smirking assassin went off to his destination. To where would he go? No one knew. But as to why he was driving a cart full of manure, well, there could be a reason behind this. Oh yes, indeed there was.

((If I were not to post in this thread, then tell me dear director, and I shall remove my part from this play. Oh yes, please do. ^____^))

Rahkain stood up from the chair by his little stand he had set up. He had gone a while back with Wil to try to free some prisoners apparently, but found himself entirely unneeded and had pulled out of the fight. Business had been going well, and it looked like he had some more customers...

However, "hey you" isn't normally how customers address him. They were soldiers. He didn't think they were going to buy anything.

"Questioning?!" He looked back and forth among the soldiers. "Spy?! I'm not a damn spy! I just came here to sell stuff! Look, I'm a working man! I work!" he backed up, moving slowly behind the stand. Perhaps if he could get behind it, he could run the other direction. What then?

Damn it! I came here to start a new life! Not to get arrested for nothing!

He had known that bad things were going down in this country, but he thought perhaps things would clear up. He wanted to settle into this country, but it wasn't seeming easy.

"What the hell are you going to do with me?"

And so, after arriving in this world no more than two hours ago, having the fright(s) of his life, and gaining two murderous companions, Saifer Griimro arrived in Eyris. Apparently, Saifer's lucky streak was continuing because the city was now descending into chaos. He could tell from the soldiers, the tension in the air, and the earsplitting screech -wait, no, voice- that belonged to Serra. Saifer looked away and then down at the Demon Twins (as he'd taken to calling them). He was still uncomfortable with the fact that Abigail was silently trudging along with shredded fingernails thanks to her excavating one apparently valueless/valuable ring, but he was even more uncomfortable with the fact that there were soldiers around who could see it. What would happen if they questioned the twins? Worse, what if they were searched? Even worse, what if Saifer was implicated as some sort of kidnapper/child abuser and given punishment?

The smart thing to do would be to leave immediately, despite the nagging sensation in his stomach to fire off a Light Brand shot at the soldier who was threatening the pink-haired siren. Still, he couldn't just draw attention to himself like that. Besides, what if the cleric woman was being arrested (or whatever was happening) for an actual offense rather than a misunderstanding? In the end, he decided to let the girl be and hurry along.

"Come on, I think we need to stay out of sight for now," he murmured to the twins. As an afterthought, he added," Abigail...you, uhh, should probably cover up your hands."

"I said begone!" the soldier shouted to the girl as he jabbed his spear forward to scare her a little. In truth, he was the one that was frightened. Imagine that, a soldier frightened of a small girl. But he, and all Learanians, had reason to fear dragons. The dragonfolk had become accepted by most due to either being ignorant of the dragon heritage or learning that they weren't vicious. However, dragons in Learania (back when the continent was still called Learania) were not so tame as the ones from other worlds. Tales have passed down from older times of the winged beasts. Throughout the ages, they became extinct, save for their more domestic relatives, the wyverns, which men learned to dominate. Fear does not simply go away if not confronted. The arrival of dragons from other worlds sparked the fear to return in many who were too fearful to grow as people. That fear is something some can never let go of. It is also something the dragons from other worlds never thought to question.

The other guard placed his hand on his companion's shoulder and held him back. "Easy, our orders do not include harming the dragons." He looked over to the unfortunate girl whose secret heritage had been learned. "By Learanian law, all those of dragon heritage are not permitted inside of Eyris. You will have to leave. And we will have to make sure that you do. I am sorry."

"It doesn't matter if you're working. Take a break and come with us." the soldier replied. He watched the cat go into the kitchen ad sighed. He had a feeling that she was not going to be easy to deal with.

The presence of another non-human caught his eye, however, a very large and scaly fellow. He was somewhat well known in Learania, well liked by many. Ganon was his name. He seemed to be working at the Hostess Club as well; somewhat odd for a bard, but his motives were his own. The guard sighed as he went over. "That applies to you, too, Sir Ganon. Although, I'm..." The guard scratched his head. "...not sure if there will be a guild uniform that will fit you..."

"Oh yeah, some hero, I heard you blew a hole in one of our ships." The guard rolled his eyes at Serra. He was sorry he had even stopped her- her constant ringing voice was already causing an ache in the guard's head. "A proper lady wouldn't cause such a scene! Stop struggling and do what the law requires!"

He continued to pull her along, despite her natural struggling. He pressed his free hand firmly against one of his ears.

"You are a Mordachean spy and Lord Rogvald will get the information he wants out of you!" one of the soldiers shouted.

At hearing the raised voices, another soldier came over. "Hey, what's going on?" The Mordachean would probably not recognize him, but it was the same man who he fought with at Tharis. "Stop this, he is no spy!"

"It matters not, we were given orders!" one replied.

"Is see.." The soldier familiar with Rahkain sighed and looked at the Mordachean, then back to the other soldiers. "Then I shall bring him in. Carry on with your work."

The two guards looked at each other, but knew they were outranked. The other soldier could order them and so what he wanted. They had no choice but to accept and walk away.

As the other two guards left, the soldier turned back to Rahkain and feigned leading him off, whispering in the man's ear as he did so. "I will lead you out of the city. Leave this place while you are able to. If you do not think you can make it back home safely, then stay at Fefga Manor, not far from here. ...I am sorry it turned out this way. There's nothing I can do."

_____________________________________

The Mordachean was not the only foreigner who had troubles. A messenger was in the sight of some soldiers, too. The pegasus rider had been trapped in Eyris ever since she got caught up in the war. She may be from Estarcia, but being in Learania meant she sent letters all over the continent. Perhaps she went to Mordache on occasion, as well.

Once found, two guards confronted her at where she was staying. "Do you send letters to Mordache? Show us your mail! There may be information useful to us in the war."

"I am not and I say he won't!" He shouted back at the soldier. Just as the young man was about to draw his sword, another soldier called the attention of the others.

What now? Somehow the soldier believed he wasn't a spy! Someone with some sense, at last!

The other soldiers departed, and this man boldly took his arm. "Who---" Oh. He squinted at him. This was one of the men he had fought side by side with before he reached Eyris. Now he was helping him escape? "Fefga manor...? Is that where that trial was held?"

Feeling slightly cowardly, Rahkain let himself be led out of the city. What will I do now...?

User ImageAfter few days since the new laws were declared, things had went bad for the paladin. Not only were some of the citizens glared at the guild for causing the taxes higher, but another one-third of the guild had resigned too. It was hard and fruitless effort for the paladin to urge beg plead consult the members not to quit, especially one of her crew, Skrimir. Apparently, he was angry more toward the laguz law than the uniform he was forced to wear (Of course, it was also hard to find the right measurement for the Prince of Gallia. Not to mention, she disliked the uniform too. She had to wear a different set of armor to cover her chest so it didn't look like her chest was about to pop out of the uniform and the fact that the miniskirt was showing off her legs.) How did Tibarn do it to convince the lion laguz to join the crew was beyond her belief. However, she wished that Tibarn was there to help soothe the angry beast in case Skrimir has another tantrum to boost.

Isadora continued walking down the corridor of Eyris castle, having a grim expression on her face. She heard rumors spreading around the city, gossips about the resistance going against the king. The Dame Knight didn't like the idea. She knew that some of her former members would be joining the force of the resistance, due to the trials and the new laws, and there was no telling what they were planning to do.

The paladin hoped that whatever decision the resistance was making, she hoped that it would be a peaceful solution and not a violent one. Hopefully, the meeting that would happen would settle the dispute between both sides.

Earlier, she heard from a soldier and Valter that there was going to be a meeting between the resistance, Rogvald, and King James. Isadora had wished to come along to see how the meeting had went, but the adviser informed her no. Instead, she was to remain in the castle, doing her work as a captain of the guild. This made the paladin upset and concern. How could she perform her work as a captain when there was a meeting somewhere where two sides were battling each other? She wanted to go to the meeting that they needed to cease the resistance and helped Learania battle against Sentria and Mordache. From the reports she had received about the skirmishes, their battles against two countries was not going well.

Isadora let out a long tiring sigh as she stopped for a moment and looked out the window, toward the direction of where FEFGA's manor was at and the meeting not too far from it.

"I hope things are not getting worse as it is." Isadora muttered softly as she looked out the distance.

Rath
------------

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. Many things were happening outside the castle. It was only through the generosity of others that Rath remained aware of the actions on the outside. It was only through his personal spy, Crow, that he could do anything. He had been told his execution was moved up to take place in the morn. At the same time, Vaida had told him about the meeting Rogvald was planning. It was a hidden sham, Rath knew it would be a trap. But while he was still able to, Rath would do what he could to protect the members of this resistance.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. When Crow returned, Rath had a new order. "Crow, I've been informed of a meeting in the woods... south-west of Fefga Manor... go there... make sure they remain safe... Do you know where to go?"

The spy remained in the dark, but the glow from the only window in the dungeon- which he entered through- revealed part of his face. "
Yes, Captain. I will find it." Crow looked at his beaten leader deeply. He would have broken him out right then and there if only Rath had commanded him to. Crow wished that his ears would hear such an order. However, it was not said. The captain felt that he had to die. The order Crow had received would probably be the last one Rath would be able to give. With that in mind, Crow would respect his leader's final wish.

"Good..." Rath breathed heavily before looking at his spy. Sudden images flooded his mind again as he remembered his dream. The head of Crow on the spike almost caused Rath to gag. "..." He began to shake. "Crow... there's a chance you may die. Don't let it happen."

A puzzled look formed on Crow. It was rare to see hear such a tremble in the nomad's voice. Crow didn't know what to think. He certainly was not going to allow himself to be killed. He didn't understand the warning, but he did understand the concern. Only one man had ever shown concern for the spy; only Rath. "
...I won't, Captain. Do not worry."

Rath nodded lightly as he allowed himself to slip onto his side and shut his eyes. The order had been given and Crow knew what he had to do. Once Rath shut his eyes, Crow departed without a sound. Rath opened an eye slightly to see that his spy was gone. He managed a grin and breathed out a weak chuckle. He still had no idea how Crow managed to do that.

Once out of the castle, Crow climbed up to the roof and leaped to the highest point. From there he could see all around. The sun was minutes from disappearing. Crow looked around and pinpointed a likely location for the meeting. However, he did not leave immediately. He stayed and stared out into the distance, perched upon that highest point. His eyes showed hollowness. Whatever Crow was looking for, he could not find. The blue eyes slowly shut, then burst open as Crow leaped from his perch, raggedy cloak fluttering about. His path was across the rooftops of Eyris and into the woods.

User Image Even with the small price increase, the Hostess Club still filled with customers easily. It made the crimson haired woman both delighted and frustrated at the same time. Their income would be able to keep up with the new taxes, but this was more work between the club’s already shorthanded staff.

Aruna slithered back and forth from the kitchen to the dining room constantly. She balanced a full tray of desserts and drinks with both hands. As she briefly set the tray down to serve her patient patrons, a couple of guards entered the building and began harassing her feline coworker first then the nagini herself. She didn’t bother to look back at the soldiers as one of them addressed her. Instead she continued to work and pretended to ignore him.

“And here’s the hazelnut latte, herbal green tea, and cinnamon rolls you ordered. Enjoy,” she said pleasantly to the average looking couple sitting at the table in front of her. Quickly Aruna moved to the next table to collect the tip left behind.

With her customers all taken care of for the time being, there was a very small window of time, about five minutes at the most, for the head waitress to talk to the obnoxious guards. “Our breaks wouldn’t be enough time to travel to there, go through all of that tedious paperwork, and return before angry regulars storm out,” she commented. “Unless you want to sport a ruffled apron and serve cakes while we get registered.” Her sarcastic tone was vaguely cover by a sweet pitch as her ruby lips curled to a fake sincere smile.

Aruna’s joking attitude continued. “Do you really want me to put more clothes on?” Aruna winked at the quieter patrolman and giggled softly. She wore her formfitting low cut top, which was barely tied together by a thin string, and a black apron around her waist over her gold colored sash.

Eyris was no longer a safe haven for Laguz. Dragons had already been exiled. Who knew which group would be next. While Sunil had been furious with the king's poor choice of words that resulted in a Hawk Laguz attacking and ultimately crippling the bird, there was nothing he could do. He held no ties to the guild, so he wasn't forced to wear the uniform (thankfully. The bright green color clashed with his blue hair and features).

Registering sounded like a hassle, so instead he worked at a shop he had worked for before, who needed help with inventory and restocking the shelves. He offered his services, and though the shopkeepers were a bit wary due to the laws, knew the cat enough to know he wasn't dangerous and hired him. He sat on some boxes on the road during his small work break of moving store goods from the storage building out back to the shop to enjoy a bottle of milk. It was a fairly hot day, and work like this did tend to make people work up a sweat.

His sharp ears did pick up sounds of guards milling about the area, but he paid no heed to them. Once the bottle of milk was finished and his thirst quenched for now, the bottle was stored in one of the pockets of the apron and he got off to boxes to start moving them towards the shop once more.

"But where else would I go?" Tiki blurted out.

She clamped her mouth shut and squeezed her little fists in frustrated, chaotic thought. Of course none of them would answer. That wasn't their job. They were just doing what they were told to do.

Resisting was a nonfactor. She didn't even think of it. It would be stupid and loud and make everything worse. And if she did stay, it wouldn't be a happy living.

She paused for only a moment of brief consideration before dully nodding. I'll leave. She said glumly. She ran off on her own, not wanting any more of the uncomfortable situation to follow her.

User Image“Excuse me soldiers, but do you know where I can register?” Rajin spoke in the most ‘calming’ tone as he let out a ‘polite’ smile. If the guards at the front gate of Eyris castle took a closer look at the tiger, they would have seen a vein popping out of his forehead. Now why would Rajin want to register when he was totally against it in the first place? Well, it seemed so happen that the tiger was chosen to be the decoy for this rescue mission.

Earlier before the group decided to split into two for each mission, Hawk King Tibarn had “asked” Rajin to go to the rescue mission and be the decoy for the guards so the rescue team could sneak in. What would be the distraction for the guards? The distraction was to participate to the law and try to distract the guards as much as possible. And what was Rajin’s reply to the idea? Well, let’s just say that it took about five people to hold down the tiger from expressing his opinion to the Hawk King.

There was no way in hell would Rajin register himself to the law. He felt that it was against everything that he was trying to rebel. Besides, why the hell should he be the only one to do that stupid s**t? He didn’t see that old man, the raven, or the wolf participating in this stupid s**t. Sure, he understood that the dragons couldn’t do this stunt. The law had declared them banishment from the city. However, it didn’t explain why he had to do it!

He wanted to go to the meeting so he could give his piece of mind to the old fart and the brat. And if they refused to change some of the laws, then he would have let his fist do the talking… Which was exactly why Tibarn wanted him to do the rescue mission instead of going to the meeting; it was because the tiger couldn’t control his temper when two parties tried to compromise. To be frank, Rajin didn’t give a damn about his temper. It was his decision to decide where the hell he wanted to go, not the old man. If the old man wanted someone to be the decoy, he would have to do it himself, not Rajin…

… So why the hell was he doing this s**t when he was against it in the first place? Let’s just say that it was either going to the mission or having a little meeting with the Prince of Gallia. Although the tiger had never met Skrimir back in Tellius (And he was surprised when he heard that Skrimir was in Learania few weeks ago), he had heard stories about the Prince of Gallia. As much as Rajin had “issues” with authorities, there was no way he would go against the lion prince. Sure, he wasn’t a Gallian soldier, but he too had respect to the Gallian royalty. That, and that damn dragon laguz threatened him about burning him with fire. Damn dragon… If he didn’t have his weakness, he would beat the living tard out of him.

While the tiger waited for the soldiers’ answer, trying to hold his temper as hard as he tried, he wondered how long he needed to distract them for the rescue team to sneak in. Rajin’s patience could not hold any longer. Not to mention, he had to urge to let out his frustration and tear the living hell out of someone. Maybe if the guards turn around, he and maybe the group might knock them off. Damn, he really needed to let his frustrations out.

((Tell me if I need to take this post out if this is a bad idea... .__.; ))
