Every year the school has two major camping field trips that generally focus around Athletics and Earth Science. The fall field trip takes the students deep into the redwood forest where there is plenty of hiking, camping, swimming, and other activities. The tents provided sleep anywhere from four to six students. While school work is still required the day is still mainly to the students and what they want to do.

The camp site doesn't have much, though thankfully it has working facilities, showers, and a mess hall for the school to make food for the students. Tents can be set up around the surrounding area as long as they are within sight of everyone else.

I'm going to say this rp takes place right before the whole experiment craziness. Suto will have already fed some students certain compounds and what not so it is possible some students might be showing signs of weakness or illness. Otherwise, its the beginning of fall, the weather is still warm and blah blah blah XD.

The fall field trip wasn't really something Blade enjoyed in particular from past experience. Though, in general, he didn't really like any of the school events like the dances and such. It was nice to be out the woods and all but sometimes he felt he had more to do in a town or city than out in the forest for days.

At least it wasn't too chilly though.

One thing he wasn't looking forward to was the tent arrangement. Setting his belongings down, he glanced around quickly to see who else was in the area.

"Sure is nice out 'ere," chirped Bent-Tail happily as he walked alongside Shun around the campsite. The camping trip was enjoyable enough for the both of them. In Shun's case, it was partially because it was a little easier to get away from the noise and idiocy of the others out here. If there was one thing he hated about it, it was the bugs.... oh and the team or trust building activities. Make that two things.

As Riyo got off the bus from the long trip, she glanced around at all the changing leaves and scenery. Had she ever been camping. Sort of. There were a few times when she'd run away from home and into a wooded area, but camping proper was something new to her.

Immediately spotting a perfect tree, she walked towards it and began climbing, finding a nice, thick branch that supported her frame. ******** tents. She'd sleep up here to avoid waking up with shaving cream on her face. Quietly, she removed her backpack and sat it in front of her, leaning her head back against the wood and closing her eyes.

Nami, who had been chatting up a storm the WHOLE WAY to the campground, exited the bus with her usual cocky smirk. "Pretty. But not as pretty as me." She huffed with a flick of her hair and waited for further instructions from their teachers. Though, she couldn't help but notice Riyo had already 'made herself at home', which made her scoff. "Show off." Now that was the kettle calling the pot black.

Stepping off the bus right behind Nami, Tessa took a look around. "Quaint." She looked to the cabin set up near by that was always dedicated at the nurses station. Silently she cursed Mr. Rall for having a normal bed to sleep on. "I guess this is a tolerable arrangement." She would keep the fact that she hated bugs, nature, and the general idea of camping to herself.

Klyde had already walked around a bit before he spotted Riyo making her way up a tree. Shifting his bag on his shoulder he made his way to the tree looking up at her, pushing back the hat he wore to keep the sun off his face. "Well, don't you look comfy." For the weather there was no need for long sleeves, but the sun was a fickle mistress when it came to vampires. While it didn't kill them it still made them very sick and often left them with a nasty sun burn.

Mitsu was one of the last students to exit her bus. Her eyes looked tired and drained leaving her to deposit her stuff in the nearest patch of grass. She had wanted to find Bent-tail and maybe hang out with him and Shun for a bit. They had gotten along pretty good in the last couple of weeks but right now she was exhausted for no real reason so she took a seat by her stuff.

Spotting a chunk of the others now, Blade frowned at a few of the individuals that he saw. Hopefully they wouldn't be causing too much grief here... Aside from the bees, he caught a glimpse of yellow up in the tree, which turned out to be Riyo. Seems that she was pretty limber. Below her was Klyde, whom he still couldn't quite understand how the vampire had managed to get relatively close to her.

Soon after setting their belongings down near the tent area, the other two looked towards the rest of the group as well. Further away, Bent-Tail managed to see Mitsu plopping down onto the grass thanks to her white head of hair. It was hard to tell from where he was exactly but she seemed worn down. The past couple days she didn't seem completely 100% but perhaps she was just catching a cold or maybe her classes were stressing her out.

"Ey, there's Mitsu!" he said before making his way back over towards her. Shun let out a sigh and stood there for the moment before making his way to follow the rat. He was at least fairly tolerant of the girl by now.

"Ye doin' alright 'ere?" asked Bent once he reached her.

With her knees drawn up to her chest, Mitsu stared off a little zoned out watching the other kids as they met up and dispersed to put up their tents or explore. Hearing her name she turned a little but didn't see anyone immediately. Eyes wondered around until she finally spotted Bent-tail and Shun heading her way. Smile on her face she pushed her way off the ground. "Hey Ben, hi Shun. I'm doing alright. A little tired I guess."

Picking up her bag again she threw a strap over her shoulder. "I'm kinda excited to be outside. Do you both like camping?" Friendly as ever.

Riyo glanced down at the voice from the base of the tree, not that she didn't already know who it was. "Room for one more... Unless you're too much of a wuss to climb a tree." She called with a soft smile, one of the few she ever sported... And like him, she wore long sleeves on a pleasant day. Since their little 'date', Riyo had made strides to try and let him in, though she kept the big things to herself. It was, however, nice... To be able to talk to somebody again. She had two friends (didn't really consider Desmond one since he gave her the 'I don't like you' vibe), and two was plenty. It was like being an orphan kid who got warm socks for Christmas. You were more than grateful for what you got.

Desmond was, apparently, the last one to get off the bus... If you didn't count the murse Atticus who was right behind him. To keep his face out of the sun, he wore a fedora atop his head. Very stylish. The first thing he searched for was Klyde... Who was busy flirting with blonde b***h. The second was, of course, Mitsu.

And she was surrounded by two losers. Great. Well, she seemed to like them... Best to play friendly now he guessed. "Ah, hello Mitsu." He said as he approached, smiling wide. "You look very tired. Would you like me to help you with your bag?"

Nami looked at Tessa with her usual mischievous grin. "So, what kind of hell should we wreak this year? I think we need to step it up and break our own record, since we're a couple short."

Kohaku had already been out and about. The small girl had taken a seat by a tree close to the one Riyo stood in, admiring the lovely leaves ready to fall from the trees. She'd thought about playing something different this time. Removing the piccolo case she'd been carrying with her clothes, her small fingers flawlessly put the instrument together. When her lips met the plate, she blew into the small hole. The sound was very upbeat and cheerful, a perfect sound for the day.

For another moment or so Blade watched the vampire and the cat before shaking his head to himself and going to try and find something to busy himself with. There weren't a whole lot of options, considering they had just arrived and were kinda getting situated here. Climbing onto a fairly sizable boulder further off from most of the group, he sat himself down. This was going to be a long trip for him; he just knew it.

As someone approached them, Shun glanced up to see that it was Desmond. He didn't like or trust the guy, but he seemed to be on good terms with Mitsu for whatever reason so he held himself back from telling him to '******** off'. Bent-tail would most likely get onto him if he did.

"It's fine... as long as there aren't too many idiots around," mumbled Shun in response to her question.

"Yeah I like it well enough. Never 'urts t'take some time t'get some fresh air 'n whatnot. But yeah if y'need 'elp wit yer stuff we can 'elp out too!" the rat cheerfully said.

Klyde grinned as he too climbed the tree. If he didn't have his vampire strength it would have been a little awkward but he pulled himself up easily enough and sat on a neighboring branch. "It does have a nice view," He said as he took his bag off his shoulder and set it down on the branch beside him.

Leaning back against the base of the tree he made himself comfortable. "So is this where you plan to stay for the night?" He could almost guess she didn't want to share a tent with others, at least if there were more than just Mitsu. "You could always sleep in my tent." He grinned playfully.

Seeing Desmond approach Mitsu smiled warmly. "Hello Desmond." Shaking her head she waved both of the boys off. "I appreciate it but I think I can get it." She had been taking strides in asking for help.....it still wasn't working out too well. That and for some reason she wanted to keep Ludwig close. Not that she would pull him out and hold him but knowing he was in the bag made her feel a little better. "Maybe we can go on a hike together?" Mitsu looked to Shun, Bent-tail, and Desmond. Maybe it would be a chance to expand their group of friends. She could tell they really didn't get a along but perhaps this would be an opportunity to change that.

"Yes, I do believe stepping up the game is in order. I feel like we're running behind." Curiously Tessa looked to Nami. "By the way, did you happen to look at the list and see what poor schmucks get to share a tent with us this year?" They would make life a special kind of hell for whoever it was.

"I swear to god, those guys are Up to something" Poke hissed under her breath. She had embarked off the bus along with the other students, and was now standing some ways off from everyone. She kept glancing at Klyde and Desmond as they talked to Mitsu and Riyo, wondering exactly what those vampires were trying to do. Maybe they were trying to suck their blood...or, pretend they were the start characters off that movie...

Overhearing her, Varn stepped over and looked to where she was looking. "Hmm, you're probably right, but we can't do much until they do something. Besides, we don't really know them well enough to intervene."

"hmmm..." In the past few weeks, she had seen mitsu and riyo in some of her classes, but hadn't had a chance to speak to them. But she had continuously seen the hive members associate with them, and it was pissing her off. She had a personal vendetta against anyone involved with the hive, not just because they were assholes but because they spent most of their time picking on others. She hadn't forgotten about Lina's incident. Her gaze then wandered to Tessa and Nami, whom she glared at from her position. She couldn't hear what they were saying, but dam did she want to know.

Speaking of Lina, she was currently sitting under a tree near the one kohaku was under, and was currently enjoying what was left of the suns warmth while reading a book. She could hear the other girl playing on her Piccolo, and the music she made was beautiful. "That song is wonderful" She said out loud.

Riyo sat up, letting her feet dangle off the branch, and propped her head up on her arms looking over at him. "Somehow I doubt I'd be any safer in your tent than the one I'll be assigned to." What she meant was being safe from the 'terrorists', but he could take it any way he wanted to.

"So yeah. This is where I'll probably sleep. The few times I ran away as a kid, I ran to wooded areas assuming it'd be harder for them to find me. You learn a lot of things when you have to fend for yourself. Food doesn't sit in refrigerators neatly tucked in little packages, there are things on the ground that see you as an easy meal, don't eat the mushrooms, and last but not least, you'll never outrun a rabbit." She sighed, thinking about what a humbling experience that first time was.

Looking at her with these other men (Man, he really should say. Mitsu was nice, but he doubted she'd be into... Rats), Desmond had to wonder if he was any closer to being more than a friend than he was a couple of weeks ago. Maybe this trip would be a chance to step up a little... If he could catch her alone. "A hike sounds lovely." His eyes glanced from Mitsu to Shun, then to Bent-Tail. "It's good to know that Mitsu has more friends than just I and... Riyo." He almost slipped and called her the blonde b***h. "I'm sure I've seen the both of you before. I hope you'll forgive me for not knowing your names by this point..." His way of asking both their names. He figured if he played nice with these guys, things might go smoother during the trip.

Nami shook her head. "Not yet. I thought we could look together and relish the moment. I hope it's both of those ******** transfer girls. We haven't done enough to them lately."

Hearing a compliment, Kohaku momentarily paused her song to smile warmly at Lina. It was always nice to hear somebody praising her work, and she appreciated each one she received.

"I dun see why she wouldn't. Mitsu's a real nice girl 'n all," nodded Bent-Tail. He was a little more trusting than Shun, but he still would want to keep an eye on Desmond as possible. The rat also had a tendency to hide his disdain a little better with his considerably more cheerful and friendly demeanor than his best friend.

"I'm Bent-Tail, and 'e's Shun," he introduced, figuring the other boy wouldn't really want to speak up a whole lot, "N yeah, a 'ike sounds awesome."

As they exchanged some words, Shun just stood by with his hands in his pockets. He didn't fancy walking around with the vampire all that much, especially if the guy just turned out to be some preppy bloodsucking idiot. But he made no verbal objections about hiking.

Tessa smiled sweetly. "That sounds delightful. Let's go find who has the roster. I'm just itching to know." She looked around a bit thinking it would probably be the horseman, Marty. Instead what she found was a man she only vaguely knew as the janitor holding a list to tell students who they were camping with and passing out the tents they would use. "Oh, it's the janitor?" He was in a low enough position she barely knew he existed, but he was rather cute. "It's too bad about the job he has, he has such a cute face." Meaning if he were a teacher she would do him to get an A. She waited for Nami to start toward him and then she would follow.

"Aw, I wouldn't let anything happen to you." Klyde's grin then widened. "Or are you just afraid of what I might do to you?" He frowned a bit as he listened to her learned experience from being outside. A couple of times he wanted to ask her if her life at home was bad, but he had no idea how to bring it up tactfully. Looking at her thoughtfully he reflected on the last couple of weeks they had been spending together. It was a little bumpy in places but he felt he had made a connection. So much so he could barely hold back the words that were in his mouth. "Well, if you stay out here I can keep you company? And it would probably be best to move once nightfall hits." He surprised himself a little but he might as well finish and explain. "Because...I assume the Hive has already seen you here....it may not stop them from coming." He sounded concerned....genuinely concerned and it even confused him a little. Was he....really worried about her? No, that couldn't be it. She was a target.

"Great," Mitsu chirped. "Maybe we can hike a little today since there is no class. I'll just leave my stuff at the bus. Would that be alright?"
PostPosted: Thu Sep 23, 2010 12:31 pm

Nami nodded at Tessa's comment about his job. It was a shame, considering who their other male teachers were. Nami would sink low... But she wasn't quite sure if she'd sink Suto low. "What a waste." Nami mumbled before walking up to the peasan- Er, janitor, and batting her eyes. "Excuse me sir. We would like to know who we'll be sharing a tent with on this camping trip."

"I'm not afraid of you." Riyo mocked and stuck her tongue out at Klyde. Though, she retracted it at his offer.

"If you really want to stay outside instead of sleeping in a nice warm tent, then be my guest." Literally, she supposed. Riyo hadn't thought about that idea, though... She'd never hidden from bullies in trees, so she had no idea what they'd be able to do... She didn't figure Tessa and Nami were very nature-inclined... But there were other ways they could torment her, she supposed. "Alright. I guess I'll move closer to the woods then."

"Pleasure to meet you both." Desmond said simply, trying not to let the rat's accent get on his nerves. At Mitsu's request for a hike, he nodded. "I'd love to go on a hike right now... But I can still carry your stuff if you don't want to leave it in the bus. Somebody might tamper with it, after all."

"I don't trust the others here," mumbled Shun finally while looking at Mitsu's belongings. While nice, she seemed a little naive to him. Considering some of the people here, he wouldn't be surprised if someone decided to mess with her stuff while no one was attending to it.

"Yeah... better be safe than sorry," nodded the rat.

As he sat on top of the boulder, Blade wondered if he might be able to sneak away from the whole group in general. Considering it some, he figured he could probably get away with it for a fair amount of time. Pulling himself back up to his feet, he went and hopped off the big rock to go off into the woods. For a split second he glanced back towards Riyo and Klyde once more and then went on off to explore on his own.
