Hobbies: Being a good Guardian-- For Ophelia, there is little room for anything else. She takes her role as a Guardian Cat very seriously, and strives to be the best that she can be. Ophelia awakens senshi. Ophelia watches senshi. Ophelia protects senshi. She knows that the sailor warriors are this world's best hope for the future, and does everything in her power to ensure their success.
Conquering the Negaverse-- It is Ophelia's dearest wish to put a permeant stop to the nefarious deeds of Queen Beryl and the Negaverse. This cat's ambitions don't stop there, however. She disapproves of the way Beryl has been using and corrupting children to do her dirty work, and aspires to 'save' as many of the unfortunately misguided as she possibly can.
Reading-- When she's not guiding senshi or meddling with the Negaverse, Ophelia can usually be found with a book. She enjoys classic literature, but has a secret fondness for trashy romance novels.
Virtues:Gentle -- If Ophelia had it her way, every issue would be resolved with words rather than fists. She is an avid advocate for peace, and does her absolute best to set a good example. While plagued by nerves and anxiety about the future, the face this cat presents to the world is one of determined tranquility. Calm, cool and in control; Ophelia has a very firm hold on her temper, and only resorts to violence as a last result. For all of her honourable compassion, Ophelia knows that, when you're dealing with an enemy like the negaverse, passivity is absolutely
not an option. If destroying an agent of the negaverse, whom she generally sees as victims themselves, meant the difference between life and death for a senshi or a hapless civilian, Ophelia would grit her teeth and get the job done.
Perceptive -- Inherently observant, Ophelia's is a quick and clever mind. Insightful and thoughtful; Ophelia is profoundly sensitive to the feelings and emotions of her fellow creatures. She picks up on body language easily, and considers herself a talented judge of character. This is charged (and sometimes distorted) by this cat's fierce sense of empathy. While Ophelia might not agree with your decision or lifestyle choice, she
understands.
Pillar of Responsibility-- Confident in her convictions, her duties, and her sense of self, Ophelia is the epitome of committed. She is all but defined by her unshakeable faith in the rightness of the Moon Kingdom and everything that it stands for. Ophelia's only purpose in life -her very reason for breathing- is to protect and serve. While sometimes prone to bouts of anxiety and nerves, Ophelia's loyalty is unfailing, and her sense of honour unquestionable. There isn't anything she wouldn't do for a Senshi or a civilian in need. Not even agents of the Negaverse are always exempt from this pussycat's helping hand. As far as Ophelia's concerned,
every life is worth saving.
Mother Hen -- If every life is worth saving, then every future is worth guiding. Ophelia's is a strong and noble heart. She loves absolutely and unconditionally, and usually runs herself ragged trying to preempt chaos before it even starts for the sake of her beloved scouts. While Ophelia has a special regard for life in all of the forms it takes, no matter how unfortunate, the Sailor Senshi are her babies. When the kids are not out saving the world from certain disaster, Ophelia puts extra time into
being there; whether it's helping out with homework, or babysitting, or simply lending an ear.
Flaws:Worry Wart -- There is a very serious problem with being so invested in the lives of others and the fate of the earth. Stress. Ophelia has it in bucket loads. She wants very badly for everything to be good and perfect and right, and is later devastated when it
isn't. When the going gets tough, the tough get going, and Ophelia's blood pressure rises. She loses weight, sheds like crazy, and gets very little sleep at night, all the while praying that her beloved senshi come out on top of this not-so-secret war. It is debatable whether or not Ophelia knows how to properly relax.
Mother Knows Best -- Ophelia is compassionate and accepting. But this tolerance is more conservative than it is liberal, and accompanied by a quiet self-righteousness. Ophelia knows everything. For better or for worse, Ophelia is always right-- just like
your mom. This combines with an inherent lack of patience and an absent sense of humour to make her a bit of a prickly know-it-all.
The Dog Stole My Funny Bone-- Ophelia is more than capable of smiling and often swells with pride, but very rarely laughs. She is as serious as serious gets, and pretty incapable of kicking back for the sake of kicking back. When the Negaverse is your enemy, there is little time for giggles, and even less for play. Youma need to be killed. Senshi need to be awakened. Lives need to be saved. When it comes to having a good time, Ophelia is the ultimate stick-in-the-mud.
