Sahaulifu let out a soft, tired grumble from her spot outside of the family den. She had been laying here by herself for a few hours now, feeling the sort of tired that leaves you worn out, but doesn't want to let you sleep, keeping you in a sort of limbo. Kweu'Chini and her had gone and had a fight.. of sorts, earlier that night. And now? Now she felt bad. Horrible even. Telling him that Utatu would be staying with all of them, until they calmed down with their fighting over who was the father of her cubs, as well as not telling Kweu' that the cubs were indeed his seemed like the right thing to do. To her, at least. By not telling either of the males who the father was, she had the upper hand and some control over their fighting. Or so she thought...
Regardless, she didn't want her cubs exposed to fighting just yet.
But now she felt bad about not telling either of them, especially Kweu'. He was the cubs father, she knew that by now and had told her three darling cubs already, but Kweu' not knowing was probably killing him inside. And Utatu.. her poor ma-... friend. He was probably anxious about it all and absolutely fuming at her.
"Oh boy..." Saha' let out a sigh as she wiped at her eyes with a paw. Where to start, where to start.. Perhaps she should apologize to Kweu' first for how badly their last meeting with each other had gone?

Kweu had long left the general area of where the small den was. At the moment he couldn't even think of it as his. His mate wasn't his, the cubs weren't his it seemed. He felt there would be no point into going back. So he decided he would wander and hope for death of some form.

Alright, that was it.
Saha' had decided to apologize to her mate and explain things. Slowly rising to her feet and letting out a halfhearted yawn, Sahaulifu stretched her legs before heading off to find her mate. She would be more gentle than their previous chat, Saha' told herself. 'Don't just tell him what's going to happen, try and reason with him about it.' With her battle plan fresh in her head, the female turned her attention to where she was going.
Where was Kweu'Chini? Letting out a sigh as she walked, Saha' turned to look back at the den where her trio of cubs slept peacefully before deciding to find their father. They would be fine. She was a fast runner, naturally, being a cheetah, and she would be there in an instant if needed by her darlings. Giving a small nod of her head to affirm this, she set off. It took about half an hour, but eventually, the familiar leopard was in her sights, much further away from the den than she'd originally thought. "Kweu', dear." Sahalifu said, only to get no reply and frowning as the male made his way through the wilderness with a weak and defeated walk. "Kweu'Chini!" She suddenly snapped out, picking up her pace to a sprint and lunging at her mate, tackling the larger feline with a speedy leap.

Kweu hadn't been paying attention for he was lost in his own thoughts when suddenly something hit him knocking him to the ground. He snarled and bared his teeth thinking he was under attack by some unknown foe. That's when he realized it was Saha who had attacked him. He laid there and waited for her to attack. "Go on kill me." He told her not seeing his life of any use or importance.

Letting out a vicious snarl of her own at Kweu's initial reaction to her tackle, Sahaulifu then flashed her teeth with a quick raise of her lips, nose and muzzle wrinkled with the display. He was actually going to attack he-.. Never mind that? Allowing herself to relax and release held tension, the cheetah let out a breath of relief. That was good, she didn't want to fight him physically. No, scratch that, she didn't really want to fight him much at all, with both words and teeth.
"..What?" She said simply, giving a blink of her eyes in surprise at his first words spoken to her, dumbfounded as she kept her position above him. Then, reaching down and giving him a light nudge with her nose, she let out a soft laugh. "What on earth makes you think I would want to harm you in any way?" Saha' questioned as she pulled her face away, stepping back and giving him proper room to stand up on his feet. "I couldn't do that if I wanted to, dear. I'm not the type to do something like that..." With a light blush and a small smile on her face, she gave a motion of her front paw at him, gesturing for him to sit upright. "We need to talk again, Kweu'."

Kweu stayed where he was on the ground eying Saha cautiously. "What more do we need to talk about?" He asked her unsure of how things were going to go.

"I.. I don't know. I wanted to apologize, though." Seeing him look at her so cautiously caused Sahaulifu to form her lips into a thin line that lasted a short moment before the emotionless look became a frown.. Did he not trust her about things now? "Things didn't end so well when we talked earlier about.. everything." Of course, the whole situation - the cubs, her fling, and the arguments between the two males - was her fault, she had accepted that by now. But she had no control over that stupid short-term memory loss of hers! He knew that, didn't he? Saha' couldn't help but feel that the fact was part of why he was so cautious and less loving with her these days.
Oh, and the fact that she'd slept with Utatu. 'Yes, Saha'. That probably has something to do with it.' She thought with a sigh, nearly giving a roll of her eyes at herself.

Kweu nodded "Ok so what do we need to talk about?" He asked not sure of what else there could be. But he guessed he could sit there and hear her out right. He still love her.

"Well.." Sahaulifu let out a sigh as she tried to think of where to start, looking over at Kweu'Chini for a moment before shifting her eyes down to her toes, drumming her digits against the ground lightly. "I want you to know that I didn't mean to.. To be with Utatu those couple of nights. It just happened, darling. You know how my memory loss hits me, I... forget things and sometimes I do things that I don't exactly mean." She then reached over and gave her mate a gentle brush on the cheek with her muzzle. "I remember you leaving me to find your friends, then Utatu coming later on and staying with me, and then.. your return, I think." Saha' moved to give him a nuzzle under the chin. "You know I wouldn't do something like that intentionally. Hurting you is the last thing on my mind."

Kweu looked down at her. "It still hurts all the same you know? Now there are cubs they could be mine or they could be his. I dont know you wont tell me. Your keeping it to your self or maybe to your self and him how would I know." He watched her.

The cheetah gave a flick of her ears back, slightly hurt that he would think something like that. "I wouldn't do that to you or anyone else. That would just be.. unfair. And that isn't right." Sahaulifu stated with a shake of her head, pulling herself back from him and giving him a gentle bump on the nose with her own. 'I wouldn't do that to Utatu either..' Her heart fluttered a little as she realized that she was starting to look at both males on equal terms, not putting her mate above the rogue male. "I promise I wouldn't ever to that to you, darling."

"Alright." She answered softly, diverting her eyes from his for a short moment, feeling a little more unloved than usual. Then again, with everything that she had done to him, she probably deserved it. Sahaulifu's already pinned ears gave a small twitch at the tone in his voice, the cheetah reaching out to touch one of his paws gently with her own. "Would you like to come with me on a short hunt? That rabbit you caught for me earlier, I... I didn't really eat much, and the scavengers have probably picked at it already."

Kweu slowly stood up "Sure why not." He said with a shrug. He stretched and looked at her. His eyes traveled over her body. He was completely lost for thought. "Your hunt you lead." he told her after a moment or to.

"Okay then." Sahaulifu answered with a affirmative nod of her head, giving her mate a small smile. At least he was starting to warm up to her again after everything. "Something small, like a small rabbit or two? Or..?" She trailed off as she tried to think of what larger creatures might be out at this time of.. of... What time was it? Looking around them, she blinked in slight surprise. Early-early morning? Something like that. "It'll almost be breakfast for the cubs, so maybe something a little larger than a rabbit? I should start letting them try a little meat, just for the taste for now."
