 Welcome! To FLYING LESSONS!
At hogwarts: Flying is the class that teaches the use of broomsticks made for the use of flying and is taught only to Hogwarts first years. The subject is the only one that requires physicality. The only flying lesson depicted in the Harry Potter series is in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. The class is taught by Madam Hooch.
The teacher in here, however, shall be none other than kaydot-
Please do show them respect, for they are, or course, your teacher.***DO NOT EDIT THIS FIRST POST IN ANY WAY!***

Flying using a broomstick is very easy if one knows how to follow the right steps. Of course you have to be a witch or wizard to fly a broom, Muggles do not have the ability to fly a broom. Professional wizards such as the teachers of Hogwarts do not have to follow those seven steps but can easily grab their broom and start flying. Professionals either say a non-verbal incantation or have the ability to fly a broom without any wand waving.
Step 01: Step up to the left side of your broomstick Step 03: Stick your right hand over the broom Step 04: Say 'Up' Step 05: Once you have got hold of your broom you are to mount it Step 06: Grip the broom tightly Step 07: Keep your broom steady Step 08: Kick off the ground hard

Flying is one of the primary methods of magical transportation, along with Floo powder, Portkey and Apparition. It involves a person or persons using a magical object bewitched with a Flying Spell to journey through the air to another location. Magical objects used for this purposes are Broomsticks and Flying carpets. In this class Broomsticks are the only magical objects that are going to be used. Compared to other methods, Flying is the slowest method of transportation available. However, it is the most common, as witches and wizards who cannot or do not want to Apparate or use Floo powder use it.

Broomsticks, better known as Brooms, are one of the means employed by wizards and witches to transport themselves between locations. The earliest recorded use of the broomstick was in 962, in a German illustrated manuscript. Only wizards and witches appear to use broomsticks in the Wizarding world. House-elves, for example, use Apparition. Broomsticks appear to have a bit of personality of their own, as they are able to respond to the simplest of commands, such as "UP!". Records show that witches and wizards started using the broomstick in 963 when it was fully functional. Until the nineteenth century, broomsticks were of varying quality, although the invention of the Cushioning Charm in 1820 by Elliot Smethwyck greatly enhanced the quality and comfort of the rides. At present, nearly every wizarding household in Britain owns at least one broomstick. Dedicated riders keep their brooms in top condition with a Broomstick Servicing Kit. Large groups of wizards and witches may travel by broomstick without being seen by Muggles through the use of a Disillusionment Charm. An earth-bound Muggle might then only see a slight shimmer in the night sky as broomstick riders pass overhead, which might be put down to blurred vision, sleepiness or a trick of the light.

Flying is also used in magical sporting events, such as the popular game of Quidditch. Quidditch is a wizarding sport played on broomsticks. It is the most popular game among wizards and witches, and, according to Rubeus Hagrid, the equivalent to Muggle's passion for football. The game is played by two teams of seven people (three Chasers, two Beaters, one Keeper, and one Seeker) and involves four balls (a Quaffle, two Bludgers, and a Golden Snitch). The Keeper guards the Goal posts. The three Chasers score goals with the Quaffle by tossing it into one of the opposing team's three goal posts. The two Beaters keep the Bludgers away from their team and hit the bludgers towards the opposing team. The Seeker catches the Golden Snitch. The object of the game is to score more points than your opponents. Each goal is worth ten points and catching the Snitch is worth one-hundred fifty points. The game ends when the Snitch is caught or an agreement is reached between the captains of both teams. Some games can go on for many days if the Snitch is not caught (the record, according to Quidditch Through the Ages, is six months).

This is basically the large exam that will be taken by all students when class is open (class will be open when i have received the class roll which includes the name of every single student). The test i must say is fairly easy and students with a lot of knowledge about flying and the Wizarding World will ace it. Basically if you pass this test you are allowed you are allowed to fly on a broomstick. In this class you are allowed to fly outside only and anytime whenever even if i am offline. But you are not to fly inside the castle only with strict permission from a teacher. You are allowed to fly, chat and discuss flying in this classroom after passing the exam. Students can redo the exam over and over to pass. I will keep record of all students who have taken the exam and will post the results in the post above. To pass you have to receive a 2O+/3O. Students have to PM there finished exam titled 'The Flying Exam'. They are to 'copy' the exam and 'paste' it in the PM space given and then 'answer' the questions in the PM. For more questions please ask me here.
