"Okay..let's meet here in a few hours and I'll take you to get some snacks. Be good, 'kay?" Evari smiled and pat Tyyne's head. The blonde nodded her head and closed her eyes as she was pat, her ears giving a flick. She was giving Evari one last chance to actually hold up to her promises, deciding 'a few hours' was a lot easier than giving an actual time for her to forget and be late for. Though it was silly for Evari to tell Tyyne to be good. She was always good!
"Okay! Bye, Evari~." She waved to the girl as she hurried off, smiling and looking around after. No sign of Ryuusei, and no sign of Enyo either. Maybe she'd see someone else she knew? Everyone visited parks! And they were her favorite place to be! She wandered away from the large fountain she was standing by to walk through the grass instead, much preferring the feel of that under her hooves than the annoying clickclickclicktaptap of walking on the sidewalk. Hmmm but what should she do today? There were still tiny gardens everywhere she'd grown them, so maybe she should find something else to do after checking up on the flowers she'd grown! Yeah! Everyone had to try new things sometime, right?

Teddy sighed. Why did nothing have to be going on? Nothing on TV, nothing in the theater, not even any good video games to play! He frowned deeply, trying to think of something, anything to do. Finally, he grabbed his iPod and headphones and headed outside. He'd probably just walk around and listen to music.
Durem was always bustling, and it could get really noisy at times, but certain spots were quiet. Perfect for listening to music or reading or whatever. The park was one of those. He headed there, listening to Chelsea Dagger on repeat while he walked. Singing softly.
"Well you must be a girl with shoes like that. She said 'You know me well.'"
He simply walked, not really looking at any of the people. Just watching the sidewalk and shoes. He suddenly thought he heard the click-click-tap or hooves and looked up. Someone was riding in a carriage in town?
What he saw was no horse and buggy.
The girl (Well, half-girl, half-deer) was walking away from the central fountain and off through the grass. He'd seen just about everything in Durem. But not a deer girl.
He wondered what she must be like. Where was she from? Was one parent full deer and the other full gaian? He kept walking, keeping an eye on the girl. She was interesting. In a 'holy cow! a deer girl!' kind of way.

She hummed happily as she inspected a few begonias, a warm smile on her face when they seemed to be doing just fine. Yay! She was so happy! She'd seen far too many of her flowers get trampled by tiny children and by mean teenagers who just didn't care about the beauty of plants. she was very happy this was one of her 'gardens' that seemed to have survived so far. But...would they survive the new season? Already she could see her tulips were wilting. Oh no...
Suddenly Tyyne tensed up and froze, her ears perked and her eyes wide and focused intently on the flowers. She could feel it. That feeling of dread in the pit of her stomach, the shiver down her spine...someone was staring at her. Normally this only meant one thing to Tyyne: Leviathan was around. But the nearest source of water was that fountain! H-he...he couldn't! No! No, no, no! Not here! Anywhere but here! No, scratch that...not anywhere at all! He'd stalked her even to the park?! At first she didn't dare look behind her for fear that if she did it would become reality and he would pounce on her, but she just had to know if it was truly that jerk or not. Tyyne slowly, very slowly turned her head to look behind her.
...Oh...it was just a man! She sighed with relief and rubbed at her face, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment. How silly of her! Not everyone who stares is Leviathan! But she already knew why she was being stared at now that she saw who it was; she was an oddity, apparently? A girl with a deer body and a human body meshed into one...was it really that strange? He was still walking but he was still looking at her. Wh-what was she supposed to do? She was still blushing as she waved uncertainly at the man, giving him a polite smile. "U-um, good afternoon." Tyyne was just being polite, if he kept going he kept going!

Teddy grinned sheepishly as he approached the girl. "I'm sorry. I just didn't expect to see a girl like . . . Well, like you today. I suppose I was being a bit creepy." He smiled a bit and scratched the back of his head. "So, do you mind telling me about yourself? I'd be lying if I said I wasn't interested." He glanced behind her. "Oh! You like flowers? That's actually pretty awesome. In my opinion, flowers are too rare a sight in Durem."
He smiled a bit and nudged his iPod in his pocket so that it stopped playing music, even if quietly, and rolled the earbuds and put them in his pocket. Teddy grinned again and walked closer to the flowers. "At least it doesn't seem like your tulips are dying. How long have they been here? They're just probably entering their dormant state. It is getting cooler out." He looked at one closely and shrugged. "I've only dealt with indoor potted tulips. And those were my mom's as a kid. It's been a long time.

A bit creepy? Well, yes. He was. But...well...guess she could understa--wh-what? Er, he wanted to know about her? What did he want to know? No one had ever just randomly come up and asked her to tell them about herself. She didn't often talk about herself. What did he want to know! Oh, good. He was asking questions. She sighed with relief and rubbed at the back of her neck, nodding her head. "Yes, o-oh! Thank you! I come here sometimes and grow flowers, but sometimes people walk all over them..." Which always broke her heart.
Geh! He was coming closer! She'd been told not to talk to strangers. Why was she talking to this guy? He didn't seem too dangerous or anything though, right? "Umm...those haven't been there very long. I grew them last wee--d-dormant state?" Tyyne backed up a little to give him room to check out her tulips, blinking and just watching him. He seemed to know a lot about flowers. What was this dormant state he was talking about? She didn't know anything about that. Was there a way to save her flowers? Really? It was getting cooler, she really didn't want them to die! "There isn't much room to grow them in my home...and my momma really hates dirty and stuff in her house, there's a lot of delicate equipment." The house itself was one giant piece of delicate equipment! She was okay with it, really. She'd...figure something out.

Teddy laughed. "Well, you see, the thing about tulips is that they have a bulb which exists under the ground, by the roots of the plant. The dormant state is the state in which they naturally wilt and die, but the bulb lives on. They'll come back as soon as it's warm enough out." He smiled warmly. "I've got this great book on flowers that I bought as a kid, maybe, if I see you again, I'll give it to you. That's how I know what I know."
He sat down next to the flowers and furrowed his brow. What was the best way to ask his questions?
"So where are you from. . . Well, I'll be! I've been so rude that I didn't introduce myself or get your name. I guess that means I've been making you talk to a stranger! I'm Teddy." He smiled again at the girl and held out a hand. She seemed really sweet.

Oh! She never knew that. Did her flowers have bulbs and seeds? They obviously had roots and things, but did they have the rest? She never grew flowers with seeds or anything, they just...grew...like magic. It was magic! Or something. It wasn't 'normal' for flowers to just grow because she touched the ground and wanted plants to grow. "Oh...alright! Thank you very much!" But how would he give it to her? He'd have to always carry it around whenever he went out on the off chance they met again! What an interesting offer. She slowly folded her legs underneath her when the man sat down; she was still kind of wary about him, he was a stranger after all, but since he was sitting if he really wanted to do something to her he'd have to stand up! So unless this was some kind of ploy he was much less threatening sitting on the ground.
"I'm from...um...d-do you mean where do I live?" Was that okay to tell a strange adult where she lived? No one had ever told her she couldn't, but somehow it didn't seem like a good idea...but at least he changed the subject! Tyyne smiled warmly and accepted his hand, shaking Teddy's hand. That was a cute name! "My name's Tyyne. It's very nice to meet you, Teddy." Could the attention be taken off her? Hmmm...maybe! If she tried really, really hard!
"So, you like flowers too?"
