Days after his meeting with Gunn, Senri had attempted to live a quiet life. Attempt being the main word here. It hadn't been hard at first, Senri leaving after meeting with Kaatje to go home and sleep. His life fell into his usual cycle, going to to his job, meeting with friends, visiting clubs, and taking care of his life's details such as apartment and bills. However, with the rapid increase in youma after everyone had woken up in their comas, he might have known that it wouldn't last long.

"Yeah. I know," Senri was walking on the road. He was in the middle of a conversation, placating the person on the other end. Several blocks away, something was slowly creeping together. It formed into one massive blob .. before the membrane broke, releasing fluid as well as two large life forms. They quickly stirred, their eyes opening abruptly to reveal red orbs. Their feathered wings quickly spread out, the cellular fluid dripping off to show that they had been recently born. But with a great leap, they burst forth into the air, becoming air borne. There was two large crow youma, easily the size of a small car. They had sharp beaks, and large claws meant for killing.

Almost as if by telepathic communication, they divided into two different directions, heading for the first life form that either of them found. The one near Senri spotted him almost immediately, heading directly for him.

"Hn..?" Senri spotted something out of the corner of his eye, and dodged just in time by jumping behind a nearby car. The crow swooped down, hitting against the pavement, it's target having suddenly disappeared. It stood up, shaking itself out to recoever itself. His phone had slid from his hand, spiraling across the pavement until it reached a dead halt by the creature's feet. "Hello? Hello? The voice on the other end called out, drawing the crow's attention for a moment at the strange sound. He glanced out from behind the car, catching a glimpse of the creature. "It must be my lucky day." His lips curved into a smile, although it was not amused nor happy by any mean. Meanwhile, where was the other youma headed?

The other youma was headed for someone who did not have time to deal with them.

Kaatje was late. She was very late. She had to catch a flight in thirty minutes--and yes, the family owned the plane, but Kreszant had to be in Orlando by six, and it was definitely not going to be a short flight because Kreszant also got airsick and he was bringing a friend, and. She did not have time to fight a goddamn crow monster. This she informed the surrounding area of very loudly as she emerged from the subway onto the street.

Still, there was no one else. She pulled out her transformation pen, and within seconds Sailor Gunn was engaging a youma who had, apparently, no defenses. At least, it was fleeing; she gave chase, her sandals slapping a dent in the roof of a car as she followed it over the rooftops. Where the <********> was it going?

The answer became obvious when it dove to avoid her first assault. There was another monster, and then--"Transform, you idiot," she yelled to Senri, "I am not doing this by myself!" And then, of course, she attempted to set her crow on fire.

"Hm?" Senri looked up from his position at the familiar voice. Her orange hair, and her outfit was unmistakable. And neither was he in a tolerating mood either. "I question your competency." There was another polite smile aimed at Gunn, that definitely wasn't nice by any means. But that was really a surprise, meeting her here. He definitely hadn't expected to see her again, after the way that she had left the other day.

Whether or not Gunn was good at her job, Senri preferred the outcome where he came out alive. "But I'd rather stay alive." Maybe he was speaking more to himself. He pulled out his henshin pen from his pocket, and had transformed into Sailor Zephyr in a matter of seconds. Not a second too soon, as he again, just nearly missed a blow from the crow youma who had figured out his location. He ran to give hima better position, catching sight of another bird going for Gunn as well. Two youma?

He stopped a few feet away, extending a hand in the bird's direction. "Break Wind!" The powerful gust of wind hit it in it's wing as it veered to avoid Zephyr's attack, but couldn't avoid it completely. It careened into the ground, crashing into a car on the curb. It's wing was dislocated, but the monster was alive, slowly standing up. "..I don't supppose your attack is successful?" He asked of Gunn, backing away from the crow.

Oooooh she had had it up to here with smarmy bastards who needed to get their asses kicked and if she didn't have issues with beating up people she would have turned on him right then. "I question whether you want to live," she yelled, and then she cursed into her elbow. The wildfire propagation had caught the edge of a wing on her particular monster, and it stank as it burned feathers.

"So <********> disgusting," she hissed, jumping backwards to run over a car; her shoes made an appreciable tuptup! noise as they set off the alarm, but the crow missed grabbing her shoulders by the distance she lost when she dropped off the front bumper.

The redheaded sailor soldier made it back to Zephyr, and promptly turned her back on him. Two pairs of eyes, as far as she knew, meant twice as much coverage. And here was a crow, winging its way towards her. "********," she grumbled, running and leaping to grab onto the monster's feet and kick upwards.

Maybe she ought to take up gymnastics.

"Oh, do you?" Senri definitely would have laughed, if it wasn't for their current situation. He ducked another swipe of its wing, jumping backwards to heighten his defense and avoid any of its blows.

He glace backwards at her, when they were back to back. To think that they would be stuck together in such a situation. Senri honestly didn't know where life meant to leave him. Although his eyes continued to be wary, tracing the youma's every move. However, he also kept in mind his surroundings. He could aim again, but what if that wasn't the end of it? Looking around, Senri spotted a nearby construction site. Or what was left of a construction site, presumably to be cleared away soon. There was a pile of dirtied cement, rocks, rubble, and broken pillars. Some were wood. Others were made of metal, although they weren't pillars. Remnants of piping, perhaps? Regardless, he picked up a particular sharp, elongated piece.

He still kept an eye out, on both monsters. "Unnecessary profanity." He remarked. But as Gunn advanced to take care of her side, Senri had his own job to uphold. Not necessarily in the same manner, but it would be done. Unlike Gunn, Senri didn't prefer hand to hand combat. He avoided that when he could. He aimed the metal rod in his hands like a bat, striking the monster squarely in the side of its head. It reverberated with a sickening crack, most likely in one of the youma's major cranium bones. "Strike One."

She ignored him, as best she could; she still had a grip on the crow, and her kick had gone a long way towards bringing it down. It came down on the concrete hard on its side; Gunn made a sound best described as an 'eep' combined with a whimper when she hit her shoulder, hard, and rolled.

Hand-to-hand combat wasn't her specialty; she had poor reflexes, especially for someone who was expected to fight for others' lives. But it was vastly preferable to be an incompetent sailor soldier, without adding to her rap sheet, than a helpless, incompetent civilian, or an arsonist adding to the list of crimes on the 'wanted' notices hanging in post offices the city over.

"What are you doing, playing baseball," she screeched as an attempt at grabbing onto the raven brought Zephyr back into view. "Stop swinging at the damn thing and kill it!"

Which was promptly what she did, grabbing her raven monster's feet and spinning to slam it into a wall. It died with an ear-splitting shriek, and Gunn immediately overbalanced to fall on her a**. "<********>," she repeated, emphatically.

"Has anyone ever told you to take your time?" Zephyr asked with a grin. But since he didn't want to spend all night with them either, Zephyr decided to hasten it.

He turned his attention back towards the overgrown chicken, resting the pipe casually over his shoulder like one did with a baseball bat. "Done already?" he asked with a smirk. The bird slowly lifted itself back up, wings flapping to regain it's stability in the air.

The bird on Zephyr's side rose up at the same time as Gunn's did, making a direct attack for the senshi of wind. Holding onto the stick with both hands, Zephyr used the force of the coming youma to impale the stick directly into the roof of it's mouth, and directly puncturing it along with the brain. It shuddered, and then fell to the ground with the pipe still stuck in it's body. Xephyr tossed it aside, the blood of the youma dripping down the metal and pooling upon the asphalt.

And Zephyr sighed, leaning against a nearby telephone. He wasn't entirely unaffected, although he had to walk over and turn the youma over to see if it had gathered any star seeds before descending upon them. "You should be happy. It doesn't appear as if they've killed anybody yet."

His monster collapsed into blood and gore. Gunn's had ended up as feathers and black dust. No starseeds tinkled to the ground, though, so she just stretched upwards, fingers interlocked over her head. The gesture pulled at her burns, but all that got was a wince.

"Well, I want to go home," she said, dusting off her skirt. "So yeah. If they'd killed someone I'd be pissed off."

She tugged on the edge of her skirt as if trying to lengthen it. Really she didn't want to talk to Zephyr all that much; but they made a good team. Even if he was entirely too annoying for life. Instead of dignifying his words with an answer, she pulled out her senshiphone and scanned him in; then, the Blackberry. "What's your number," she asked, "we're a good team and should work together more often."

"It's debatable." He answered with a smile to Gunn's fact of them working well together. Nevermind the fact that Gunn didn't annoy him as much as the majority of the population. Most likely, they did work well together if Senri was planning to pursue being a senshi. He stepped back into place near Gunn, henshining down into his civilian persona. He didn't like to maintain his senshi persona for too long if it wasn't necessary. "But I don't mind exchanging numbers," Senri asked with a smile. "As long as you understand that I still have no intention of acting as a senshi." Gunn's proposal didn't mean that Senri would go on nightly patrols or save citizens on a daily basis.

He took out one his cell phones along with his senshi phone. He listed off his number, while examining his senshi phone. "Yours?" He queried in response, flipping out the qwerty keyboard for his phone, the blue light shining in the dark night.

"Hey Gunn." He held up his black phone designed with a cloud pattern, similar to his uniform in his hand. "Teach me how to use this." Apparently his cat hadn't taught him enough, Senri already finding that this phone wasn't built for normal everyday things like his regular cellphones. This was the first time that he had encountered somebody using their senshi phone, and he was already acquainted with Gunn. After all, you couldn't really ask a random senshi, hey, how do you use the senshi phone?

Gunn stayed as a senshi. She had to run to catch her flight, had to get out of there, and with that in mind she rattled off her number as quickly as she could. "Look, I'd love to, but maybe later? I have to catch a flight in twenty minutes." The plane was hers, but it would leave without her, and then she'd have to arrange other transportation to Orlando, and no way was she flying on a public flight. It was just neater to have her own plane.

"Next time, I promise," and then she picked up her bag and fled in the general direction of Destiny City Municipal Airport.
