Nobu was the fifth son of the Yana noble family. His life was very boring. He got everything he could have ever wanted or needed in his life. He was heir by adoption and not true blood. He denounced his soon to be ownership of his families noble name and instead became a Shinigami.

Shikai Abilities
- Ability One: Areno Wild Land Pounding either fist hard into the ground, Nobu creates a great disturbance, sending a powerful shock wave at the enemy. This attack can become more powerful if Nobu pounds both fists together, however, the speed in which it travels stays the same, only now the ground itself would become utterly torn apart. This attack travels in a narrow path and will not affect anything outside of it.
Ability Two: Gakekuzure Earthfall Nobu slams both fists together, he sends the shock wave proceeding it towards an outwardly destination, a wall, building. The shock wave is powerful enough to collapse and destroy anything such targets, save those whom are reinforced by other means. This ability is able to push back an enemy with great force, however, it is not unavoidable. This attack is quite slow in proceeding to its target, however, Nobu can send them off more rapidly then with his fist ability, making up for the attacks extreme slow speed.
Ability Three: Kyoushin Severe Earthquake A stronger affect from his first ability, however, this attack has the chance of harming Nobu as well. Either fist glows bright brown, before slamming into the ground. This time, the path range is not narrow but extremely large. However, if Nobu is delayed on his timing to move out of the way before the attack is initiated, he will get thrown back and caught in the attack, though damage to himself will be minimal. This attack is capable of ripping up earth, taring down buildings/walls, ect. Though this attack is slightly faster than his first it is again not unavoidable.
Ability Four: Kaiku Growth Vines extend from Nobu's arm and plunge into the ground. The vines can multiple quite rapidly, going into walls and any surroundings, breaking them apart ect. This attack is used to confine an enemy to one spot, if the vines attach themselves to a person, Nobu can use another ability without them vanishing. It is quite difficult to predict where the vines will sprout up, because of this unpredictable pattern that the vines extend, one might find themselves easily caught, however, one can easily break free of one set of vines by simply preforming a agility technique. It becomes more difficult when more than one set of vines has attached themselves.
Ability Five: Shushi Seed Small openings appear around the cuff of Nobu's arms. These openings make way for a "Rapid Fire" attack. Small seed like objects appear out of these openings consistently, very fast, each one of them is like a mini bomb, exploding on impact. A total of 100 seeds can be fire from each before Nobu has to take a 5 minuet rest before using it again.

Control of earth. This means that he could make a tree wither or grow, gardens die or prosper. He has no control over the weather or any other element other than earth (Rock/Dirt/Plant)

Bankai Abilities
- Ability One: Kazan Volcano Four precise strikes are planted into the ground, in a pattern around Nobu's body. The marks glow, after a moment, several large blasts are heard, the ground shakes, then, appearing at random places, giant bursts erupt from the ground, as if a Volcano is exploding. The blasts are very powerful and the debris that follow can be harmful as well, being hit in the face by large chunks of rock ect. The event lasts for a maximum of 4 minuets, or when Nobu ends it. He can't direct these attacks onto the opponent, though he can keep them within the area.
Ability Two: Ishikabe Rock Wall Used as a powerful defense, a reiatsu strengthened wall of rock appears before Nobu when his staff is implanted into the ground. This wall is not easily broken, however, it's not hard to destroy. Nobu uses this attack as a effort to escape a powerful opponent. This wall can extend to a far range width and length wise.
Ability Three: Ishihyouga Rock Glacier Nobu's staff explodes into rock which hover in the air before multiplying rapidly. After a solid banner of rock is formed, a avalanche of rocks burst from the banner, a nonstop flow. The boulders therein produced are quite large and extremely powerful when toppling onto someone or something. The amount of rocks when falling looks like a light rain fall, however, not all the boulders are extremely large in size and they are very slow falling.
Ability Four: Ushiwaku Rock Grave Nobu focuses his energy toward an opponent. Four large spiked rocks appear in a perfect square around an opponent, then, four large walls of rock connect each boulder, then a final roof of rock seals in the box and its contents. The box then slowly sinks back into the ground, taking with it the object within. This attack is absolutely fatal and if the attack is allowed to finish death is the only outcome. However, in order for Nobu to use this attack, the enemy must be first extremely stunned, this attack takes a great amount of time to start and as such, the person can easily escape before anything can happen, also, even if the opponent is trapped in the box, the sand is extremely easily broke, a simple sword cut could break the walls or roof or any of the four pillars. Also, Nobu cannot use this technique if he has used any other techniques in either his Shikai or Bankai state. As well, if Nobu uses this attack he is unable to release his sword again for two days, even if the attack had failed.
Ability Five: Arare Hailstorm Strange clouds in appearance form in the sky. Small pebbles fall, however, the speed in which the fall is rapidly fast, and thus, avoiding them in the open is impossible, however, they do not have enough strength to collapse buildings so shelter is possible. The power of this attack is not so great in its immediate effect, rather, after being stoned by so many pebbles at such great a speed, one might lose consciousness or other serious affects might befall them.
Ability Six: Insei Meteor Either end of Nobu's staff glows with a fiery looking substance. He spins it in the air for four seconds at most. He pierces the ground with one end, a brown looking fire appears, then, he strikes the same spot with the other end, sending a line of fire towards a target. As the line proceeds towards the target, small meteorites appear just above the line and slam down into the ground, giving the attack its power. Nobu can control where this attack goes perfectly. The speed in which it travels is fast. This attack is one of Nobu's most used in Bankai as he can use it quickly over and over again.
