Amaranta moved slowly coming out of the den she had been spending so much of her tim in lately. It was good to stay close to home, she was clearly so close to her time. She looked down between herr front legs, her belly had grown a great deal in the time that she was pregnant. She wondered mildly how manyy cubs were in there, would she have a large family like her mother had had, or would she have a small one, Aadi had been a singular cub. She was sure there was at least more then one little on in there.
She settled herself underneath a tree and looked towards this beach Aadi should behome soon. She wondered how long it would be before he returned home, she was always worried that the cubs would come while he was away. She was a trained healer but she wasn't sure that the knowledge would all be there when she needed the most.

Because fo the family he was now living in. Aadi decided- for his family he would be a gladiator. It was only because he wanted to show the 'family' that he could be a strong protector of the pride and the one meant for Ama but there would be times where he didn't come home for a while, training and being apart of the hunting packs. But when he found out that Ama was pregnant. He was... well distracted. Many days he would blankly stare out and see just the plains in a new light. He was gunna be a father.. until another would call him out before his ears went up. "Yea.. " Then the day went by with the hunt and bringing back food before it was time to go home. When he made the path it felt like a ton of bricks.
The weight- anything he did and the foot steps leading to it.. someone would be trying to jump in to them and when he made thoughs steps.. He felt a weight on his chest.. closing his eyes as he came up from his usual path. Padding a few with a maw full of a piece of flank from a gazelle. he would have brought more but he let it go to another family.. It was only for Ama and the children in the womb.. he thought it was enough. Looking up he saw Ama waiting for him.. was she suppose to be moving about? Questioning as his tail padded happily.

Amaranta lifted her had as she saw Aadi coming down the path towards her. She felt her smile grow. Ever since she had gotten pregnant she had found herself more emotional then ever. "Aadi, you are home" she chirrped, she moved like she was going to get up but decided to stay down. Her stomach felt to heavy to get up at the moment.
She felt her mouth start to water when she smelt the food that Aadi was carrying in his mouth. "Is that for me?" she asked, her eyes sparkling with love for Aadi. She wasn't use to being having to be taken care off, even when she was a cub her mother had always insisted on them being self sefficient.
Chi
When he trotted up to her, picking up pace as he saw her and her almost going towards him and that would have been a slight reassurance that she was ok. But she didn't and made him slightly worried. Thankfully he was home and put the flank right in front of her. Giving her a loving nudge under her chin and softly licking her cheek. "Yep.. Was from the hunt a few hours ago.. I gave the rest to a family.. hope you didn't mind. This could be for you and them?" Leaning down and softly nuzzling in to her side.. Looking at it all swallon up made his heart yearn for the mews and squeels. "Do you think I should keep to a gladitor at this rate?
" Flicking his tail slightly in wonderment and looking at her with soft eyes. "Are you ok..look a little more pale..thank usual. Do you think their coming soon?" His voice had rang with a very warm caring sensation.

Amaranta smiled as cooed slightly when Aadi made it to her side. "This is wonderful, and of course it is fine that you helped feed another family, everyone is everyoe needs to eat, eating is good." she said as she dug in. She was starving, she ate a bunch and then pushed what remained towards Aadi, "I have had enough." she said cleaning her lips.
When Aadi asked her if she was okay Amaranta made a survey of what she was feeling. It took a moment, Amaranta was sure that she felt something, she paused thinking, was it indigestion? "Aadi" she whispered. She was fairly sure it was time, the pain was growing stronger. "I think I thik I need to move back towards the den now, I think it might be time." she struggled to her feet wondering if she could make it to the den.
Chi
His ears went up and took heed of her digging in. Watching her as a smile crossed his lips but when she thought about whether she was ok. He shook his head and snatched up the remains and was about to take it in til she said it might be time. He stopped dead in his tracks... then quickly slinked under her foreleg and slowly started to walk towards the den. Dropping the flank. "I can carry you there. Come on." Leaning down. "It would be quicker.." His voice with worry now and everything about him was nervous but her well being came first.

Amaranta didn't even question if Aadi could carry her, she lowered herself on to him quickly. She was feeling the cramps come more quickly now and it was worring her. She hoped that they would make it to the den before they came. In the den they had set up a nest, somewhere warm and dry for the cubs to be born.
"Almost there." she whispered to herself, she was excited and nervous, this was her first litter she wasn't sure how it woud all go. She hoped that she wouldn't let Aadi down. These cubs were his just as much of hers.
Chi
When she made herself comfortable upon his back. He quickly moved to the den and sinked inside. The den- was made up for any way to birth the cubs. She had done it as he only was baffled and worried on the whole matter. Always willing to help and take care of her but the job he was doing wasn't likely to let him take FULL care of her like he'd like to be. Setting her down in the dry leafs and went around her and lifted her slightly so he could lay and her lean on him.
He had many questions. Worries. "Does it hurt? What can I do? Anything?" he whispered and felt helpless as he licked and purred in to her neck and softly grazed his pads across her stomach.. His ears back and ailing on the inside for her. What would become of this day? He wondered and was nervous and worried but he tried to play it cool. He wished his mother was here to help. She would know what to do.. in times like these he felt rather lost. Or his sister.. or someone!

Amaranta smiled, "Its going to be ok Aadi. It hurts but its suppose to, they are coming. We can do this together." she snuggled down into her nest she had spent countless hours making. The pains were getting closer together and she was sure that one cub was just about ready to come out.
"Aadi its time" she readied hersef and got beared down. It didn't take much the cub came quickly, she was surprised to find it to be easy enough, the pain wasn't pleasent but she was getting through it. She felt the little body slip from her. She moved quickly and pulled the cub towards her. She had had a son, a son who who looked very much like her, he had her pelt, but Aadie's black punctuated him, and he had Aadi's eyes. "We have a son" she whispered.

Aadi was a nervous mess every time she moved- and when she snuggled in~ it made him wrap aronud her more and watch was eyes so filled wonderment. Amazement as childbirth was a pretty harsh task so it seemed. When he heard something- immediately before he could look- Ama had taken the boy in to her forearms and started to clean him. "A son?" His heart softened and his eyes warmed as he looked over her shoulder for the little one. Ears opened and smiled down at him. Leaning forward and softly taking a lick at him but quickly retreated as to not get in her way. "Looks like his mother." His voice softeend and licked at her ear and neck. "Only one?" He questioned. No disappointed but surprised.. Would he be like his father? So many questions and he felt so happy to be a father. Pride swelled up in his chest.

"He does look like me, but I see his father." Amaranta cooed, her son mewed slightly and she was happy to know that he was healthy. "No no Aadi there is more." she began to push a bit mre, another cub was on its way. "Get ready Aadi" she told him as she began to push again.
She felt the cub coming down. She coulsn't wait to see what would come next. This cub came just as easily as the first, Amaranta was was happy that it was going smoothly is something had gone wrong she wasn't sure how she would have handled it if it had been difficult. She felt the next cub arrive and as she began to clean the cub she noticed the white pelt. The cub was a female, who had her eyes, and Aadi's band on one of her legs, her tail was covered in spots. "A girl" she announched. She was confused as to where the white pelt had come to but she loved her daughter jsut as much as the son that had come before hand that looked jsut like her.

More? Could she handle more? Or could he?! He wasn't sure. Almost meeping when he found another coming and looked on over to see.. his eyes widened. The one whom he wished here. Was here.. but in a different body. "A girl!" He highened and looked over to see the white pelt and when he looked closer.. "Like mother..." His voice felt almost distant with soem dispair that she wasn't here to see it. But he smiled warmly and nudged the cubs over to him to give some room for Ama. Plucking them and licking at them- like the mother had done and like he had done for Ama when she looked messy. "This one takes after my mother.." Ears opened as he nuzzled down at them as he started cleaning them. "Shall I take them to the food?" Motioning to the left over flank. Obviously not remembering that they took milk first..

Amara smiled of course Aadi's mother, she knew that she didn't look like anyone in Aadi's family. She hadn't imagined that Aadi's mom would be white, after all Aadi was all black. "She is beautiful" Amaranta told Aadi, speaking both of their cub and his mother. When Aadi spoke of taking the cubs away from her she cringed, she couldn't imagine being away from her brand new babies. "No no Aadi, they have to drink my milk, I will feed them when I am done delivering." she told him.
As if her body took her words as a cue the labour began to strengthen again. "Another one is coming." she told him before she began to push. It came quickly, more quickly then the other two had. It hadn't been hard to begin with but the labour was only getting easier. Once she delivered she yet again brought the cub close to her, thankful for Aadi moving the other two away she was able to get a look at her new little one, another girl and black just like her father, she had bits of Amaranta's tan, and Aadi's bands. And one eye of each color. The cub was beautiful. "Another daughter Aadi." she said excitedly. "I think we are almost done, maybe just one more." she told him a knowing smile on her face.

He looked down at her and made a soft smile. As the cubs moved about. No. they weren't done? Yet!? That was.. Oh third! He looked on over curiously and saw the funny colored eyed baby girl. His ears opened largely and made a funny face at her before taking her right after Ama had done licking her off. "Oh milk. Right.." Saying it as though he knew it all along.. "Sorry." He remarked embaressingly and went to start cleaning up the new one. Lick lick.. "When the last one comes I'll put them near your tummy then?" Questioning and trying not to break her concentration but this was entirely new for him and he was scared. "You ok my dear?" He whispered in her ear and licked affectionately at her cheek.. Then looked over to her rump.. Just waiting to see what other cubs.. what other personalities~ like the ones that squirmed in his forearms.

"I am doing well Aadi, and we are just about done, only one more I think." Amaranta began to push again. She wondered how she knew this but she was sure that there was only one more inside her. She pushed, and it came from her quickly and easily. Another girl, a girl who looked exactly like the male that ahd come first. "Aadi we have twins." she said her eyes full or pride.
"That is all" she told him finishing cleaning the twin girl, and moving her towards her stomach. Her milk had already come in, and Amaranta knew that hte cubs would need to feed again. "We have a family now, four little cubs." Amaranta was so proud she couldn't help but smile a large smile. Her eyes were fillingg with tears.
Chi
When he heard that there was only one- and the news that it was a girl. Brought another smile. "My girls~ and my only son." He said proud and lifted his chest up all proud like. His tail padding as he dipped and put each cub on the other side closest to the stomach and let them figure it out~ he was sorta clueless. As he tried to put the last, the only boy down- it wiggled and mewed and it gave him a heart warming feeling.
"Four. Beautiful cubs." He stated and slowly edged from under her and circled around to help the cubs out to each n****e. Nuzzing them on over and watching as they found or didn't find them. Sighing and looking up at Ama rather helplessly. "I'm hoping the milk is in those." He chuckled jokingly as he sat and watched them. Absorbed really in all the markings and looks they had. Each one was so different. "Three girls...Wow." A smile on his face.. as he leaned back up and simply watched. "I dunno what to do. I'm so happy." A soft laugh as he looked at Ama that had tears just about to fall- making him almost look worried and took a step close to her and nuzzled his head agaisnt her chin. Softly purring as he licked at her cheeks and over her face. "Their beautiful like their mother."

Amaranta smiled, Aadi was already such a great father already and the cubs had just arrived. "I think they are handsome just like their father." she cooed. Amaranta helped those that hadn't found the milk yet. "Yes yes there is milk there it will keep them strong." she whispered watching the cubs still.
"I am hungry Aadi will you go get me food." the birth had take her a lot from her, but she couldn't think about leaving them not even for a second.
