That he's a lot of things that shouldn't be likable, but somehow, you like them anyway. A sort of unique charm, you might say. Bloody annoying, at times, but...it works in his favour. Somehow.
Wish I could do that...

In other words, very, very, VERY charismatic. Yes, that sounds about right. He'll do things like knowing exactly what you're thinking or doing without you even telling him. Things that just shouldn't be so...that, and pretty much always being right, in a way that should be terribly irriating, but...isn't, somehow. The type that could charm the scales off a snake, you know?

eheh heh...whe i opened the thread i never knew every body liked him because of his despisable qualities...on the contrary i didnt really know he had such traits.
his knowelege and common sense are surprisingly fierce and indeed his wit and instincts are a bit er...well..unusually strong, but why should that be irritating? i find it quite comforting to know i have a leadrer who actually knows what he's doing.

"Despicable," you mean? I certainly wouldn't call such traits despicable. In fact, when it comes to my ability to read people, predict results, and generally see things coming, I usually try to knock but gently on the lighter side of insufferable. There is, of course, an exception. If you ask me for advice, flagrantly disregard it, and then complain obsessively because it happened just as I said it would, then I shall be relentless in my reaction. I shall publicly answer your every bemoaned utterance with a reminder (however superfluous) that you should have listened. Of course such circumstances are easily avoided by following any of these steps. 1) Do not ask for my advice if you don't intend to listen. 2) Do not disregard my advice if you have requested it. 3) If things go horribly wrong, suffer the consequences in silence (or at least don't complain in a public forum in which I am likely to see them). As for seeing these traits... It's much easier if you spend time with me one-on-one, where conversations are had at the speed of IMs (or normal face-to-face dialogue) then they're much more apparent. If I know someone as well as I know Tori and I can see their face (especially if they're as expressive as Tori), then I'd say that on a good day, I could predict nearly any response she'd have to what I'd say, were I to have the time and the inclination. As it happens, normal IM speeds and my nature provide neither; such a conversation would be dreadfully boring and joyless, and as she is a delight to speak with, I couldn't have that. I apologize for the both my egregious rambling and the pretensions of my vocabulary. Both are the curious effects of mental fatigue, though my desire to put off the more boring tasks before me inspires me no greater amount of haste or brevity.

What do I like most about Matasoga... His intellect and wit. I enjoy talking to others that can keep up an intellegent conversation for more than 5 minutes. He also reminds me of certain parts of myself. I will side with our master on the advice thing. I am the exact way. I'm heartless when it comes to complaints of situations that you knew would unfold as your advisor predicted.

I love his striking good looks, his intelligence and his sweetness. I also like how all of our conversations are engaging and... "golden" that I wouldn't want a day to last without talking to him. He's very charming. heart

The thing I like most about Josh is the way he makes me feel, I also like his intelligence and the conversations we share each day.

I don't feel like I'm being talked down to. I might not understand it all, but I'm being spoken to as an equal, not an underling. Along with quite a few other things, but that's all I'm going to say now.

Sinful Nana I don't feel like I'm being talked down to. I might not understand it all, but I'm being spoken to as an equal, not an underling. Along with quite a few other things, but that's all I'm going to say now. Equal? In interactions between equals, it would not be acceptable for one to give orders to the other and expect that they be followed, so are you sure this is a wholly accurate presentation? Truly equality is never present. There is either head-butting or an admission of some level of submission from one to the other, even if it is very subtle, there is always an upper-hand to be had. That's why I don't understand those who don't care for politics; that's life. If more than one person is in a room you have politics.

You aren't always giving me orders and expecting me to follow them, though. Like when we were talking about character creation the other day, if I didn't understand something, you were patient and explained it, instead of previous experience I have had that consisted of an eyeroll and a "Figure it out yourself!" comment. So it might seem strange, but yes, when I talk to you, I feel like you think of me as someone worth the effort to converse with, instead of a waste of time. And besides, I don't play politics. I know I'm submissive by nature. If someone directs me, I automatically fall into place to fulfill an order, as long as it's logical and able to be done.
