Ever notice that they are ALWAYS featureed in Newtype but they still haven't made it to the front cover big picture? hmmmm o wellz

and ya... they've never been on the cover... but they were on a centerfold once!! whee i have it... up on my wall... where i can see it everyday!! whee heart

i keep seeing advetized but never really see it any where, not broders around here, but my dad pik some up every now and then back east, i wonder why i can't find them out west?

The centerfold was crap! I liked the idea, but the art was horrible.... Its still over the door that my bed faces though. ^^0 I did like the other side of the centerfold, that's going somewhere, no sure where though.
But I know what you mean about the cover thing, same with Shonen Jump, its always Yoh, Goku, or Yugi, its never one of my fav characters! T.T (Course I like the psychos like Faust VIII, and Bakura. ^^0)
Anyway, the reason why Saiyuki hasn't made cover is because it isn't that popular. They put FMA, and other insanely popular series on the cover to sell magazines, because with how freaking expensive it is, there are more people like me who only buy issues with some kick a** feature (cough Saiyuki centerfold cough) than those who buy it just cause. I mean come on! Its $15 dollars! That's almost one week's pay for me!

I get the subscription for Newtype. Its a bit cheaper if you go that way, as opposed to buying it at the store monthly.
Monthly at store: ~$180 (tax not included)
Subscription: $89.95 (what I paid. could change)
Difference: ~$90.05
It saves. 3nodding

The other reason is that since the magazine demographic is primarily male, they tend to but "pretty anime girls" on the cover....

Newtype is alright, but they actually cut lots of things out from the original Japanese Newtype. I remember I wanted to buy a copy because Souniisama was interviewed in it (about the 20th b-day thing), but in the American release of that issue, they cut the interview out entirely. sad I don't even think they mentioned his name. crying
