Ampharos are tall, yellow, bipedal Pokémon with long necks. They have black stripes on their neck, ears and tail, and a white underbelly. They also have two round, red crystal-like structures; one on their heads and one on their tails. These give off huge amounts of light and electricity. Their arms resemble flippers. Ampharos resembles a sheered sheep that its evolution line leads up to as they lose wool with each evolution. It also shares traits with a lighthouse, such as its height, stripes and the beacon on the top; the two also share a name.xx❞

entirely up to sai to design. I'd rather be surprised and see how she takes the general conceptxxxxx
and uses it as a base. anyways, I have absolute faith in her, AND THAT IS ALL.xxxxx • ❥ name: Kiyoshi.

xxx•xDangerous Memories.
This is a major request on my part, the only part of his appearance I would truly, truly love to be in there. A large scar across the middle of his neck, either between two black marks reminiscent of Ampharos, or on its own. Its jagged edges make it look as though someone cut messily into his neck with a wire, circled it entirely around so that it forms a perfect circle across the whole width. Though rough edged, it is thin yet prominent, a scar that brings forth questions that Kiyoshi will easily evade through chinese and obvious excuses.

While its for certain that Kiyoshi's chinese is certainly better than his english, no one knows for certain whether or not there are times when he's actually confused, and when he's simply bluffing. Kiyoshi enjoys chinese far better than english, and if people dont know he can speak it better than he... attempts to, than they wont be expectant that he will. However, in the presence of a rare few people, Kiyoshi will try his best to speak in their tongue, however shocking it might be at first to them after months and months of struggling through strangled english and smooth chinese. Kiyoshi doesn't mean to confuse, he simply doesn't find an interest in the complex languages around him. Especially when chinese is far easier. Its not to say that Kiyoshi is opposed to learning it, oh no. If he was, the Ampharos wouldn't have bothered to learn the basics of it in the first place. However, he simply does not care for such a tricky thing. After all, whats so wrong with chinese? If someone hung around long enough, they would pick up on the basics just like he did with english, right? ... Right?
xxx•xMarshmallow Madness.
While Kiyoshi's love of sweets is almost as obvious as his bright tail, the Ampharos has one passion that no one can escape. Sweet, fluffy, gooey madness. The electric type is never, never without a marshmallow. It might not be obvious, hell, you might not even see it, but somewhere on him, he has some. He'll bring most people to the where was he keeping them? question, though not for long, since Kiyoshi doesn't have a problem with sharing and believes that infecting others with his love will make everything better. Marshmallows are like cigarettes to Kiyoshi. They are addicting, and he will go into a fit if he doesn't have any for more than a day. Bribery is quite easy to use against the chinese boy as long as you know his weakness and you know how to play on it well. Of course, to do that though, first you need to deprive him of the sweet, sugary treat. Because Kiyoshi is rather protective of some things, his marshmallows are not easily stolen, especially if one doesn't know just how many he has in the first place!

Well its true, you cant fight and dance all day long. Kiyoshi is someone to be trusted in the kitchen; there will be no mushroom clouds, no fire alarms, and certainly no burnt food. The Ampharos is rather good at this particular trade, though his knowledge of food is quite limited. If you have a certain taste for asian food, and dont mind it almost twenty four seven, than Kiyoshi should be your chef of choice. The Ampharos was raised on asian etiquette, the asian language, and most of all, the asian cuisine. Though strangely enough, his favorite food remains to be the ever illusive marshmallow, he will never turn down the prospect of sushi or a steamed pork bun. And he's not scared to try and persuade others into his exotic tastes. Kiyoshi doesn't mind cooking for others, and when he's not outside doing something, thats usually where he prefers to be. The Ampharos has a rather restless nature, and if that means cooking for others to quell it, who not? Anyways, food is a passion to anyone and everyone, isn't it?

Much like the black sheep in the white herd, Kiyoshi much prefers battle to the quiet nature of gazing on from the sidelines. The Ampharos prides himself in his vast knowledge of the martial arts, always hungry to learn more, more, more. The Ampharos is a rather admirable foe, both nimble on his feet and quick witted. His actions are on an almost entirely different spectrum than his personality, which gives off the lofty, kind air of someone passive and placid. However, in the heat of a match, his blows speak much louder than his disposition ever could, and tell a rather surreal tale of precision and straightforwardness. Kiyoshi trains whenever he can, often finding places to meditate when not dancing and not battling nor cooking. The Ampharos has surpassed the level of "black belt" surely enough, though the countless different martial art styles continue to bring him into a dizzying daydream of thrill and happiness. Martial arts is much like a sedative to Kiyoshi, who uses it to calm down, or get rid of emotions that he thinks he ought not show to the light of day.
xxx•xWe Came to Dance.
Second only to his love of marshmallows and martial arts, Kiyoshi has one other absolute passion. From swing dancing to belly dancing, the Ampharos knows it all - and if not all, well, he's pretty damn close. Enraptured by the art and idea of just how the body moves and captivates, Kiyoshi has always wanted to dance, and dance he has. The Ampharos is well trained in the art, flawless in a lot of his movements. Even when not moving across the dance floor, the way the young adult walks is enough to give off that certain impression. Kiyoshi brings a smooth, elegant, electric and intoxicating gait to his step. And he brings it even further into his fighting and martial arts. Training with the Ampharos is like training with fluid electricity. Sharp and striking, but at the same time, elegant and smooth.
xxx•xGentle pressure, sharp precision.
A practice bred out of a need for such treatment and a certain intrigue, Kiyoshi enjoys the art of both acupuncture and massage. Though he began learning more or less to relax his own body, he soon found use for it on his first trainer, and now he uses it whenever he can. Sometimes that means sneaking up on unsuspecting people to do so. Kiyoshi was, at first, rather bad at it, and it took months upon months of hard practice - mostly on himself and his old trainer - to perfect it. However, the Ampharos is still learning, though at this point, his technique is well rounded. You'd be wise to accept his offer for help if he ever sees you limping around. If, of course, you can even understand his rapid chinese long enough to get the message. Granted, sometimes Kiyoshi gets ahead of himself, as with all of his odd, exotic hobbies, but his intentions are almost always for the better. Almost.

xxx•xOut the Window.
Despite his contradicting nature, Kiyoshi has one thing that dominates everything else in his mind. A phobia of commitment. Kiyoshi views the world through a slightly twisted perspective, and is terrified of the idea of becoming enraptured and tied down by any one creature. He doesn't want to be hurt, and because of that, he's not quite sure how to love; something that he will eventually have to learn if he doesn't want to be torn apart. Kiyoshi is more likely to try crawling out a window in the face of a persistent date than stick around and bear through it, and has never been quite so lucky as to find a lasting friend just yet. Kiyoshi is rather self-sufficient, he was bred to be so, and because of that, he is under the belief that while other creatures are interesting and fascinating, an exotic taste he cant get enough of, they are not anything of importance past their short lived interest to him. However, when Kiyoshi finds himself drawn closer and closer, become more interested and interested, he'll run. He'll duck for the nearest cover and never come back out. Kiyoshi's fear of attachment dictates quite a lot of him, though at first it might not even be noticeable. The Ampharos gets quite lonely in all actuality, but he'd rather take the safety of living alone than risk stepping outside of his boundaries only to trip and fall.
xxx•xForgive Me for Forgetting.
It has to be the sugar! Kiyoshi's memory is far from good, or perhaps it is really just selective. While martial arts and cooking come naturally, the ability to remember all else usually fails him. No one should be offended if it takes Kiyoshi five, maybe even ten times, to remember the right name for any particular being. He is just as the white rabbit in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland as well, always late for a very important date. Kiyoshi almost seems to run on his own internal clock, waking when he wants to, arriving when he wants to, and surely enough, sleeping when he wants to. Because of Kiyoshi's atrocious memory, his navigation skills are also quite poor. Getting lost is not a difficult thing for him to do, and sometimes it takes quite a few right-left-right again-maybe-I-went-down-this-way-last-time's to get where he's going. Kiyoshi's selective memory retains some details, and though things such as names, ages, and directions are constantly lost, Kiyoshi makes it a habit to either remember or write down likes and dislikes, small quirks here and there about people he might meet. But never lasting things. Never the things that really matter.
xxx•xGood ol' Fashioned Nightmare.
Everyone has nightmares, and Kiyoshi is no different. Though his manage to center around the same thing time and time again. Bred from the ghosts of childish fears, the Ampharos is terrified of one thing, and one thing in particular. They haunt his dreams and taste the fear in the back of his mind, though the sheep does his best to lie to himself and say it'll get better one day. But how could it? After all, its only natural right, to fear such a thing? Its in his nature, his blood, or at least thats what Kiyoshi wants to believe, if only to save himself from the personal blame. The Ampharos will always be afraid of the monsters in the dark, the wolves with sharp fangs and haunting, predatory eyes. Wolves, though? No, not just them. Every canine presses Kiyoshi's back to a wall, every creature with that blood in his veins. Mightyena's, Houndooms, even Murando's. The Ampharos knows that it is a phobia, an irrational fear. Not all wolves can be bad, right? Not all of them have a taste for sheep's blood, right? So why cant he stop himself from running? Why cant he turn around and stay in the presence of one?
xxx•xPerfect Touch.
Much like an animal being scratched in just the right place, Kiyoshi easily enough falls prey to certain spots. The Ampharos is most sensitive to his spine. A simple trace up his back will send him into shivers and adding pressure will do him in even more. Its not something explained by common sense or logic. Simply a weak spot on Kiyoshi's body that he has always harbored. Another place to use to advantage is certainly the back of his neck, and his ears. Subdued and relaxed by touch to any one of these places - granted you touch them right - Kiyoshi instantly falls prey. A reason for why he keeps such information tightly locked away. Few people know of his strange weakness, and even fewer are smart enough to actually act on it. More likely than not, even if you somehow manage to find your way into Kiyoshi's lingering interests, finding out this small thing will take work all on your own. Hard work, as the Ampharos has never enjoyed the touch of strangers. Especially near such tender places like those.
