The breeze was cool today with the soft morning glow of the sun, both of which teased the pale mane of the sitting lion. His fur fully grown out, Lia sat tall and proud as an adult hunter of the pride now. No longer was he a lanky adolescent with a weak voice and scrawny tail. No, those days were long past. And with them, some dark memories he hoped to never relive. But for now, he'd rather enjoy his morning catch than think on such things. Resting his dark paw on the already half eaten carcass, Lia continued on eating before any scavengers could appear. Sure it was a small meal, just a simple gazelle, but even that was enough blood to bring unwanted guests. No matter, as he doubted anyone could wander too deep in these pride lands. However....there was some scent in the air other than blood that was catch his nose. Curious and full from his meal, Lia stood and soon wandered from his spot to search out this strange scent.

Devoid of the morning's glow, a charcoal serpant lay coiled around the warm creations of his mistress. Their travels had taken them far away from these lands, but ultimately, she returned for reasons he could only guess. Amun lifted his head, scenting the air with a tired roll of his neck. What he found made his scales curl. "Misssstresss." He slithered away from the sleeping balls of fur to her back. He paused. How best to wake the sleeping demon? "Misstress, pleassse. We are in danger."
Then the beast stirred.
The shrivelled lioness blinked open her orchid eyes, flashing off her jagged fangs in a yawn. It hadn't been long since she'd given birth, and honestly, she would have rather liked to have a longer nap. "What is it?" Tikoto snapped. She rose to her paws, regardless of how much the motion jostled the sleeping cubs. Twisted by the sweet searing of her abdomen, the lioness padded out into the brush, her head low, ears flipped back. There was a prescence, but she wasn't sure who-
Oh, oh. YES.
"Good morning, sweetheart." Tikoto purred as she slipped out into the open. "I almost didn't recognize you. You've become so...big since last we met."

The grass could be heard crumpling in the distance, and among the green and yellow hues there could be spotted a vague black mass. Lia narrowed his eyes, not knowing if it was a hyena or perhaps a cluster of vultures. But all that uncertainty dispersed once he noticed the red and white swirl markings on the dark fur. His own dark fur bristling, the male prowled slowly towards the other while pinning his ears back to her comment.
"Hn, I see you haven't change much at all. Still as twisted as ever." Pft, even her voice still had that overbearing sweetness that was truly fake. Snorting through his nostrils, Lia shook his head. "You know you are forbidden from these lands, so why even risk your skin coming here?"

Deep within the recesses of her mind, the angered pose of Lia transformed into an excited, loving embrace. Her jagged fangs stretched from ear to ear. "Sweet words from a sweet tongue," she cooed. Tikoto's steps came to a slow halt, a leg's length away from the father of her cubs.
"Oh, dearheart," She clucked her tongue. "I thought you knew? Circumstances being as they are...." The demoness lazily rolled her paw in the air, trying to think of the perfect words to say and failing royally. Not that it mattered. Her parasites were nuzzled in the coils of her servant, so all was well.
