If anyone ever has the time to do this, I think a "Basketball Term or even Moves" thread in the "Bball School" Sub-Forum would be quite helpful to newer members of this Guild. Terms such as "assists" or "fastbreak" and an explanation/definition of moves would describe this thread.

Also, moving some inactive threads into the Recycle Bin would clear up room and emphasize the more recent and popular threads. (Which isn't that much of a problem since this guild is not that active.)

Also, does this Guild have an "Official Thread" in any of Gaia's main forums? It's been long since I've been an active captain or crew member, so I forgot what forum exactly it would belong in. I would guess the Chatterbox or somewhere in the Gaia Guilds Forum. We need more active members, and in order for that to happen, we need to expose this Guild to other parts of Gaia. I have never seen this Guild anywhere before, and I most likely would have joined way before if there was a thread of this Guild or a banner of this Guild in someone's signature. I randomly searched "NBA" one day and got myself here. xd

Anyways, so here is the game plan for increasing activity:

1) Create a thread in one of Gaia's main forums for this Guild - To do this, we will need various banners that will enlighten people. We will need user testimonials to show proof of what users think of our Guild. We will also need to sign affiliations with other threads. Now all of this will need much planning. Discussing this with the crew or with the Guild as a whole will be a great idea. The longer we take planning and making the thread, the better the output of this plan will be. No need to rush.

2) Create more banners! - Nice flash-type banners will be neat. If I was more active, I'd take full responsibility and order banners on my own. If gold/capital is the issue, feel free to send me a PM and hopefully I have remaining gold at that time. Sometimes users like to click banners that are quite appealing. xp

Not trying to be apathetic you all should do those things if you think that will help you enjoy the place more. How I've seen it is a bit different though.

There would have to be a way to lure users on to gaia. I think the real thing is theres an influx of different tastes on gaia. Mostly mainstream but still more geared away from sports.

The sports forum its self is in the minority. The guild "dwindles" (depends on perspective) because of there just aren't that many here that follow sports like that. 2-4 years ago there were plenty of people but even then the other forums movies/games/anime/life issues/ED would dominate.

Even guilds themselves suffered for a while for a number of reasons. Now the mods are actually updating them.
Theres a number of blogs I go to but I still like to check in here. Probably from arguing with Drill for 2-3 years and him being wrong for 2-3 years...(just joking)

You're right on the fact that the main attraction here are movies, games, etc. I was just hoping that there would be more NBA fans out there. An active guild with discussion on certain, future topics would be more intriguing than one or two posts a day in random thread(s). We'll see- if anyone's interested in this idea, let's start planning. If not, let's just hope we attain some active members. 3nodding
