It was another late night, Senri finding himself coming home at odd and odder hours. Well, that couldn't be helped. This time, he had made a trip to a club near his work place, dropping in to see an old friend. It was a club where pretty girls and handsome men worked to attract a customer base of all types. A host club of sorts, if you wanted to think about it. Although the correct term wasn't host club, instead of being exclusively men, it was woman and men. Yes, Destiny city had those types of clubs.
Once he had walked through that door, she had seen him immediately. She had greeted him with a kiss to his cheek, and a "Long time no see!" in her friendly tone. "I know." He replied just as smoothly, giving her a casual hug with one hand. He intended to leave shortly after that, meaning to get a good night sleep. After all, he just wanted to check up on her. And these frequent visits of his formed an acquaintance with the club. Which might have been one of the main reasons why he had been sighted as a potential worker for their rush hour crowd, the manager pleading with him, "Please, please! Just fill in for us. It'll only be for a couple of hours!" And he thought he only had one manager to deal with. Apparently, he had underestimated the power of managers.
"Fine. Give me a pair of clothes to change in." He agreed for one night with a reluctant sigh, wondering how he had the bad luck to wander in at such a time. And that was how he ended up coming late now. Not that he was worried for his safety because Senri could handle himself all right. It was just that these nights were never normal any more.

While Senri was working, Eve Summers was also... well...
Working.
Night jobs sucked. That was the thought that went through her mind as she dodged a tentacle and winced as she could hear the crackle of electricity in the air as it almost grazed her. She wasn't technically Eve Summers, she wasn't technically getting paid, but it was an obligation. Super Sailor Flora was in a pretty tight spot, having ran into a floating jellyfish youma, which quite freaked her out when she realized that it was charged with electricity, when it accidentally careened into a lamp post and short circuited it, the light going out with a bang. She had almost thought that would have finished it, but the youma had treated this as a source, and had drawn more electricity from it before floating towards her.
Flora swore her mind was playing the Jaws theme as she turned and ran, trying to come up with a plan.
Unfortunately, the jellyfish youma managed to wrap one of its tentacles around her leg and she screamed at the burst of electricity that shot through her and her hand reached out to yank at the tentacle. Surprisingly, it came off in her hands, and the current died down, although when she pried the tentacle off her thigh, there was a nasty welt left on it.
Another tentacle reached for her and she screamed again, dodging it and looking frantically around for some short of shield. The trashbin cover... no, that was metal and would conduct the electricity.
Ugh. Think, Flora, think!

The flickering of lights was what caught Senri's attention at first. A wire shortage? And then the light went out- leaving the older male in darkness. Now, Senri believed in coincidences. In all probability, coincidences happened with a percentile of 0.01%. The other 99.9% was treated with doubt, and conclusions that weren't drawn from the reasoning of coincidences.
He could have ignored it. He really could have, continuing on his way despite his conclusions. After all, it certainly wasn't his problem. If only the jellyfish not floated past his vision, the green and yellow creature sparking off electricity as it traveled, floating along the street after a senshi. It was extremely visible in the darkness, and one had to be absolutely blind to miss it. He was in one of the backstreets, which led out to street Flora was fighting on. Senri wasn't easily disgusted. But even with his tolerance, that youma was.. He was looking upon in absolute disgust, wondering if he could stand to eat jellyfish again.
I can pretend that I didn't see that. Right? Keeping pretending. Senri was telling himself. Urghh. There was apparently some conflict, especially when it involved such a disgusting youma. And in a few moments, Seni had already jumped onto a nearby rooftop in his senshi uniform, to see what exactly was happening. He was greeted to the sound of a painful scream, froma young girl he estimated to be the same age. She was a senshi as well when one observed her clothes.
She was cornered. Zephyr quickly covered the rooftops between the two of them, yanking Flora up by the arm to a more elevated position just in time! Just before the tentacle reached where she stood. It was only a temporary measure, as the creature would soon progress to where they were. Giving her a polite smile, Senri stated, "Please don't tell me this is all you have."
"Don't senshi normally have an attack? Or something?"

It was a surprise then, to be suddenly yanked upwards when she was cornered and bracing herself to just throw her attack towards the youma, no matter how ridiculous she thought the effect might be. She looked up to see another senshi and give him a grateful smile in return, panting as she threw the tentacle at the other end of the street in hopes of temporarily distracting the youma. Luckily for the two, it worked, for the jellyfish turned and floated towards the source of the sound of the tentacle thudding on the pavement. It would find out the bluff soon though, and they would be attacked.
"I was about to!" She retorted, rubbing her wound with a grimace. "Although I'm not exactly sure what pollen will do to a charged creature..." The more she thought about it, the more she was inclined to agree with herself that the effects of her attack on the monster would be quite... pathetic. One would think that being a Season Senshi would have more effective attacks. Flora almost wished that she could switch spheres with Boreas right now and drown the youma in snow or something like that.
...Almost.

"Hn. I suppose even senshi can be useless." Senri remarked in their very brief time frame of reprieve from the monster's sights. He pulled Flora up to the rooftop, letting her down to stand on her own. "You can still move, right?"
In more leisurely circumstances, they ould have exchanged pleasantries. Name, age, senshi spheres, and all of those things that came along with a psuedo-hero. However, they didn't have much time - Senri taking the silent opportunity to stare at the creature. Did it even have eyes? Ears? Senri wanted to ask, seeing no visible trace of them. The closest he had ever gotten to fish was within an aquarium or on his sushi platter. And he had no desire to get closer to them, preferring women over the Cnidaria class. He might have very well used his attack, but on the slight off chance that it did survive, Senri preferred to have a second option in mind. He scanned his surroundings, catching sight of a potential item.
"Come if you want." He quickly ran across the rooftops, heading in the opposite direction of where the youma was. Was he running? He hadn't eplained anything to the other senshi, although if they tried running, it would be a futile attempt as the youma would continue to follow them. The youma was still busy extending it's slimy tentacles to where the distraction had come from, searching for a sign of the female senshi. But it wouldn't be occupied for much longer.

Useless? There was a brief flash of anger in her eyes and Flora almost considered arguing with the senshi and telling him that even though she seemed powerless in a situation like this, she had taken down a number of youma before. But of course, their priority right now was defeating the electric jellyfish before it hurt others and she nodded mutedly, even as there was a burning sensation in her leg.
It really hurt, and Flora was already trying to come up with excuses as to why she had such a scar on her thigh if asked in school, and contemplating trying to cover it up with makeup.
She exhaled a breath and started to run after Zephyr, although it slowed into more of a limp. Determined, Flora pushed on, but pain shot through her leg again and she fell. I'm fine. She thought, pushing herself up, only to see the jellyfish hovering before her.
There was only one option open to her now. "Flora Pollen Storm!" She screamed, flinging her hands in the youma's direction before it tried burning her again.

"Tch." Senri muttered beneath his breath. He supposed that since he had gotten involved, it would be only appropriate to save the senshi in this situation. Fine. And he stopped in his run, making it back to the season senshi.
He reached her only seconds after she shouted her attack! He pulled Flora against his chest, not having very much time in the face of their enemy. From his earlier vantage point, he could see the cloud of pollen bursting from her hand. However, the expected effect didn't come out as planned.. Senri seeing the pollen stick to the jellyfish. "I don't suppose that there's some effect that I don't know?" He raised an eyebrow. "I don't think that thing has eyes, nose, or a mouth." For the pollen to have an effect, that is. His lips grinned into a sardonic grin, at the irony of the situation.
He held out his own hand directly in front of the youma, "Break Wind!" He said with quiet intensity, the wind pressure gathering, and burst forth to hit the youma squarely. In addition to hitting the youma, it had also blown away Flora's pollen. The jelly fish recoiled, the pressure breaking the soft skin of the jellyfish. His attack had created a gaping hole in it's shape, but it still staggered towards the two of them. It was dead, yet? He observed with a an expression of annoyance.
He picked up Flora in his arms before the youma could react and follow them. "I hope you don't mind being carried." Another smile to Flora, before he took the opportunity to jump down from their currrent building. He landed next to a gasoline tank, setting Flora down as well. The red tank stood there, with it's warning, Caution: Flammable! "Tell me.. do you like fireworks?"

"It is sometimes poisonous." She pointed out with a thoughtful frown. Well, that certainly was a very strange effect, and certainly not what she had expected at all. She hadn't even known what to expect, when the jellyfish didn't seem to have any nostrils to breathe in her pollen attack. That it would somehow, miraculously explode upon touching? At least, Flora thought, it had done something. Who knew the pollen would stick to the youma? She couldn't even direct it away; it was properly stuck.
The other senshi had more success with his attack and she grinned when she saw the hole it had left in the youma. It made the pain in her leg better, just for a bit. Getting hurt on the job really sucked.
Flora didn't really have time to protest when Zephyr scooped her up and leaped down from the rooftop. Sure, Neso had done that once before, but she had known him for much longer than she did for this impudent stranger.
She looked horrified at his suggestion; the civilians really didn't need any more evidence to prove their reasoning that senshi too, were terrorists. But there was really no other option Flora could think of, and she hoped no one was nearby to witness this. She pursed her lips before replying. "...Alright." There was a pause before she added. "We have to be careful though, or we could get caught in the blast."

If Flora had any reservations, Zephyr would have to listen to them later. At the moment, they didn't have the time for it.
"Mm." Senri picked up the gasoline, and opened the cap to confirm that it was gasoline. He was a bit more experienced then he should be. He then opened up his subspace with a flick of his hand, since they weren't going to find imaginary matches, rummaging around until he pulled out his usual lighter. For once, he appreciated the fact that it was a cheap brand from a convenience store that he picked up in a rush.
He began to pour the material over the sidewalk, pouring a generous amount while stepping backwards to make a long trail of gasoline. He was depending on Flora to follow along. She probably would, since she seemed smart. The youma, quite angry, was already beginning to appear at the edge of the building, limping and dragging itself along. It seemed to crawl over the building and drip like slime. He used the tank, until it was almost gone.
"Would you like to do the honors? Or shall I?" He held up the pivotal element of their attack, the lighter between his fingers.

Flora decided, while watching Zephyr, that it was better not to curiously quip and ask if he was experienced in burning down things. She didn't really want to know if a fellow senshi was a pyromaniac anyway. For all she knew, he was going around burning down Negaverse hideouts... If she was Eve Summers, that would have slipped out of her mouth without any thought, but Sailor Flora bit her tongue accordingly and watched the youma warily. It was coming closer and she unconsciously took a step backwards, remembering the pain that shot through her leg.
She tilted her head towards him and answered his question. "It's all yours." The only experience she had with lighters were lighting birthday candles, and this was definitely no candle nor a birthday. This was a matter of life and death; this youma was definitely one of the most dangerous ones she had encountered.

"A shame." Senri said with a knowing smile as if realizing her inexperience with such things. His thumb rolled the metal grinder, the significantly small orange flame almost harmless. It was almost pretty in it's beauty in the dark night. Until he tossed it onto the edge of the gasoline, the flammable liquid immediately catching on fire. The speed it caught on was amazing, making its way into the youma who was dragging itself across the sticky liquid.
When the flame hit it, it careened against the floor and let out a sickly wail. The silhouette of it burning was visible, almost black in the bright flames. "That should be enough. Although I prefer my food medium done then rare." Senri shieled his eyes from the brightness and heat while watching the youma. He had expected this to work. After all, most creatures couldn't withstand the burning heat of fire, much less a jellyfish. "I suggest that we leave, or be mistaken for arsonists." He remarked with a careless wave, already turning his back on the scene.
The remains of the fire or ashes were of no consequence to him. The fire department would be on this area immediately, already on high alert. In fact, Senri would have been surprised if someone hadn't already called them.

Flora winced as the flame practically ate up the jellyfish youma, but found it hard to look away. Was it perhaps that it was some guilty pleasure; to watch it get it's just deserts when it had gave her such a vicious burn? "Some like to eat it raw though." The thought turned her stomach, and Flora made a mental note to avoid Japanese food for a while lest she saw jellyfish sashimi and was reminded of this encounter.
Technically, they were arsonists though, she thought with a wince, although they were aiming on burning only the youma and not any nearby buildings. Still, she knew how harsh the public, and the police could be towards senshi, and she nodded, de-henshining and they both left the scene.
It was much easier to play the wide eyed, innocent looking civilian that had absolutely no idea what had just happened, than being cornered as a senshi who would get the blame of everything. Thankfully, the skirt she wore now covered the wound on her leg.

Senri easily switched into civilian form once they crossed a shadow, his appearance that of his normal civilian. "Now that I'm done with that," He looked at Flora, giving her a polite smile. Although that really could have been a smirk, now that Flora knew a bit more about the male's not-so-nice demeanor in his senshi form. "What's your name? I'd hate to refer to you as just Miss Senshi." Although that could have held some entertainment, the name was a bit too long. He held out a gloved hand for their belated introduction. Although he probably wouldn't stay too long, as it hadn't been his intention to get involved with the incident in the first place.
"And are you sure you're able to walk?" He was commenting on it, but Senri (thankfully) did not turn his stare towards Flora's skirt. The injury didn't look any better, if it wasn't already inflammed. It was best if she received medical attention as soon as she could. Burns were tricky if they were past first degree. "Because collapsing on me would be a pain."

"I''m Eve Summers." She introduced herself, taking his hand with a wry smile. "And you, Mr Senshi?" If there had been civilians milling around them, Eve would have definitely not tried to return his silly little nickname; she thought it would be awfully dangerous if a Negaverse agent in disguise overheard and tried to ambush them later. It was probably a little too wary of an action for the seemingly easy-going girl, but after being battle hardened, you tended to be more careful. It wasn't as if she wanted to get into fights every single day.
"I'll be fine." Eve assured him. "I'll put some ointment on it when I get back." When she shut herself in the bathroom and held her tongue; she didn't want Rea to notice or be alarmed. Luckily, the weather was getting colder and she was graduating, so she didn't have to bother with wearing the short skirts of Crystal much longer, or else the burn would be quite obvious.

"Senri Cross." Senri easily introduced himself. "So Eve. Should I venture a guess? Are you the senshi of flowers?" Given her attack, that would be his best guess. If his guess was off, it was something close to it then. Given the opportunity, it seemed the right time to ask.
Senri wouldn't have been careless if people were around either. He was a great deal smarter then that. But since there weren't, he didn't see any reason not take the opportunity when he could. Especially when he couldn't be sure that he would ever meet this Senshi ever again.
"Mm." He didn't seem too concerned with her injury. "Have you been doing this for a while?" He was referring to her side job as a senshi. He hadn't been awakened that long ago, and the senshi he had met seemed recent as well. He was wondering if she was similar, or more experienced. He couldn't deny either, that his curiosity was not piqued by other senshi, but for information. Senri wasn't the type to enter a battle, especially not one with the senshi and negaverse, without attempting to gather intelligence.
