Dakari was bored. There wasn't much that needed to be done in the tribe, so the young male was forced to wander to look for entertainment. There wasn't anyone in the tribe he felt close to. They were all usually irritable or they simply bored him.
What Dakari really wanted was a mate, someone he could share a strong connection with. Even a simple friend would be nice. Someone who he could talk to that wouldn't bore him in less than a day. It felt like a shameful weakness to admit it, but when he was on his own in times like these he was brutally honest with himself.
Dakari sighed, scuffing at the leaf litter with a purple paw. His frustration seemed to explode. A growl escaped his lips and the simple scuff turned into an angry swipe. Dead leaves and twigs flew up in a shower around him, and his blue eyes almost glowed with the intensity of his emotion. As quickly as the fit came on it left, leaving Dakari feeling drained. He simply stood there, trying to decide if he wanted to stop and rest or keep moving.

Tios ventured through the land without companions, saving vixens in distress, slaying dreaded bears, and overall being your typical knight in shining armor. Recently, however, the world seemed to be lacking problems. Now he was alone, searching for something to do. Anything. It didn't even have to be his normal, noble stuff. A nice swim in a lake, a relaxing day at the beach. Anything.
"Company would be nice, too," Tios muttered to himself. He didn't know many foxes personally, he just saved a lot of them from imminent doom of different sorts. Those encounters tend to end in a quick goodbye. 'I need a break,' Tios thought. 'A break from saving the world.'
Tios slowed his pace, deciding that walked slowly was a good way to start the relaxation process. The next would be to approach the next fox that he sensed. Speaking of which...
Ahead of him, Tios spotted a white a purple fox, simply standing in the middle of the road. "Hel-" he started to call out when he saw the wind seem to pick up around the strange fox. He couldn't feel the wind, but it was the only explanation for the behavior of the leaves and twigs flying around the fox. They stopped after only a moment. The fox continued to stand there, and Tios didn't move either. After a few moments, though, he approached again. "Hello, good sir," Tios called out. "Are you alright? What was that strange bit of magic, do you know?"

Dakari didn't allow his expression to show he'd been startled by the male. It wasn't often he got surprised, and he didn't like it. He scowled, flicking his tail scornfully. "It isn't magic, it's simply superior body control."
Dakari looked the male up and down. They weren't on Cruor, but it was still rare to come across anyone. "Who're you?"

"Ahh," was all Tios said for a few moments, slight understanding and awe dawning on him. "Superior body control... I must look into this," he muttered to himself. It almost didn't register that the other fox had asked for his name.
He glanced back at the purple and white fox. "Of course, dear lad, I must introduce myself!" He exclaimed, outraged at himself that he had forgotten his manners. "For I am Tios! Resident hero of... Whichever parts I wander into at the time! I've saved many a vixen in distress and caught many a theif! And your name, honorable mage of the 'superior body control'?"

Dakari raised a single eyebrow and examined the male. This Tios was either an idiot, or extremely confident in himself. He just wasn't sure which at this moment. Dear lad? Honorable mage? Resident hero and saving vixens in distress?
He snorted dismissively. "I'm Dakari. So tell me, Hero," Dakari turning the word into something slightly mocking, "what are you doing around here. We have no monsters that need slaying, and all our vixens are more than capable of saving themselves."

"Dakari!" Tios exclaimed. "A noble name, I am sure. Of course, I believe that evil is everywhere! I am here because I must protect this area as well, regardless of how fit the vixens are! Perhaps a kit in these parts is in trouble."
He supposed the reality of the situation was a little different, but that didn't matter much to him. Tios knew to always have a noble purpose for every deed. Even simply being in these parts meant he was on a quest. Even though earlier he had simply wanted something to do.

Dakari felt the beginnings of a headache emerge. "No kits around these parts. A couple had children recently, but they're just BCRs. Besides, their parents would likely rip to shreds anything that tried to hurt their kits." Dakari had to admit, Yuki and Ixen could be terrifying.
"You could always go nobly find me some good healing and eating herbs," he said, meaning it as a sarcastic joke.

"Ahh, of course. Well, kits could be anywhere, so it's best to check everywhere," Tios answered with a firm nod and a 'serious business' type of attitude. "And protective parents are the best way to ensure safety around the world. I approve of these friends of yours, though I'm sure a better answer than 'ripping them to shreds' exists. I will find them and offer possible alternatives, so they can prepare."
"You need healing herbs?" Tios repeated, ears perking up. "Are you hurt? Is someone else hurt? I'll find them right away! Though it's not exactly my usual job choice. But when someone's in need, I cant refuse! Quick, good sir, what are the symptoms of your malady?"

((Tios reminds me of Gai-sensei XD))
"I'm not sick," Dakari replied, looking at Tios like he wondered if the yellow/white male was a bit touched in the head. "It's always good to prepare ahead of time though. You know, have what you need before you even need it and all." Some idle part of Dakari's brain wondered if this was what it was like to have kids.

"Oh, you aren't sick..." Tios said. "Well in that case, you don't need my help." As he said this, Tios began to walk away. "My services are much better off with a less able-bodied creature than yourself. I suppose we can continue our searches sepately." And with that, he disappeared into the distance.
[XP Odd ending...]

Dakari watched the male go, left eyebrow quirked up so high it was in danger of falling off his face! Yea, there was definetly something weird going on with that male. He shook his head, then turned and trundled off in the opposite direction Tios had taken. All that conversation had done was to leave him with the fierce desire to piss someone off; maybe he could find a squirrel or crow to harass, they had a pretty nasty vocabular....
((XD Yay for endings!))
