It had been a while. The city had been quiet since the 'sleeping incident.' But recently, it seemed that activity was once again rising to normal, if not higher, levels now that everyone woke up. The term "work up" applied literally in more than a few ways. There were even more senshi than before. Sheesh. Serandite just had to make sure that she wasn't caught by them. She couldn't bear to be a laughingstock if she lost to a newbie.

Actually, the term "lost" wouldn't have applied. Usually, they happened to get away through lucky means.. or some dratted rescue would appear. Serandite preferrred to label it as a 'tie' but in the eyes of the negaverse, a loss was a loss.

Serandite stood over a body with the starseed, crouched over it, holding the shining crystal cupped within the both of her hands. The light was a little dim but it'd have to do. It was a starseed. She debated if her skills had been rusty due to her slumber but apparently she hadn't lost her touch.

Serandite still had mixed feelings about this and probably would continue to have them. For a greater cause.. for a greater cause.. She reminded herself, her hands covered his face to close the lids over his lifeless eyes. She lifted her kimono to reveal a ruffly skirt, about to tuck the starseed somewhere within the mass of ruffly skirts.

Chaonis had not yet had to do anything alone. He always had another senshi nearby, whether he wanted them there or not. Mostly he was in Scorpio's company, which he was never going to complain about, and could go on having her near him forever. But the other ones he had met? Eh. He could take them or leave them.

Mostly leave them, save when they were fun to tease.

He took things without seriousness, making jokes and making sure he always had fun. Being a senshi was fun, right? Who cared that they were called terrorists? He knew he wasn't, so whatever. He was just going to keep on trying to make himself stronger and, really, just figure out what the hell he could really do like this.

He spotted something strange up ahead, someone crouching over a downed body, and a little glowing something or other in their hands. He remembered having been told about this, about starseeds and negaverse agents, and what it meant to lose those starseeds. He was not supposed to let that happen: he was supposed to save people. Had he missed saving whoever that was on the floor because he had been kicking a can down an alley?

Or something equally as unimportant.

"Hey you!" the Senshi yelled, "you better... put that back!"

Okay, he was going to have to work on that. He ran up anyway, fists clenched, looking ready for a fight.

"you better... put that back!"

What a lame lame lame call out. Who was it? Senshi, police, or civilian. Not that it mattered since Serandite would have to take them out, regardless of who they were.

"Oh yeah? Who's going to make me?" Serandite turned around to face Chaonis, one finger pulled her cheek down and tongue out in a mockingly elementary expression to the newest intruder. She put her hand on her hip to face the scout with a dark and cold expression. Obviously, someone wasn't in the best of moods-- she looked ready to murder. Oh wait, she already had. And intended to do so again.

Serandite was already in a foul enough mood and getting into a senshi fight wasn't on her list of to-do tonight. "Do you guys know what nuisances you're being?" She heaved a huge sigh, her bunny weapon drawn from the subspace to her extended hand.

Chaonis glared at the girl as she stuck her tongue out at him. What the hell? He had to fight with some little kid? But hey, if she was killing people that was more than enough of a reason for him to take this fight seriously, regardless of the fact that she just went all 'playground' on him with the face making.

"I'm gonna make you! Sailor Chaonis! Damn right there's Danger ahead," he grinned at her, holding his fists up like he was ready for a boxing match. Of course, he was more equipped for a street fight, and he was not interested in anything else.

She didn't look to happy when she stared at him.

"Looks like someone needs a nap. I didn't bring any cookies and milk, though, so I guess we're just going to have to make due, huh? I'll just have to put you down my way." If he had a dime for every time someone called him or thought of him as a nuisance he could build a house out of dimes. Or, more likely, buy something awesome.

"We're being the nuisances? Hey, you're the ones pulling s**t out of innocent people. I'm just here to make sure you don't get away with it. Cute bunny. This is gonna be a real fight though, right?"

.. Serandite couldn't remember in her lifetime when anyone had ever been so insulting. Probably because nobody had been-- not as much as this overly cocky male. "Captain. Serandite." She grudgingly gave her title, the reluctance in her words indicated that this was truly and utterly a waste of time in her opinion.

Heyheyhey, he was just being plain insulting. She didn't even remotely look young enough to warrant the "cookies and milk" comment! Or.. did she? Not that it mattered, it was a comment that would have to pass. Unfortunately, any remote possibility related to taking it easy on this senshi flew out the window when he remarked on her weapon. She was a freakin' proud negaverser with a badass weapon. Hell, it was better than some stupidly heavy sword or a dragon ball. (Not as badass as a youma arm though.)

She didn't bother to waste effort trading insults as her small bunny grew to a not-so-small bunny instantly. He'd better be prepared for a real fight, she thought menacingly. The bunny charged forth, it's large bulky mass intended to bodyslam Chaonis into the far wall on the other side.

Chaonis arched an eyebrow slightly at the name she gave him. Captain? That was like... more than a Lieutenant, right? He wasn't much for structure or ranks, and what did it matter anyway? She was the bad guy, he was the good guy. That had to mean something.

He watched her, waiting for her to quip back at him as his targets of such insults often did. But he would have had a long wait, since she had no intention of doing that. Maybe she didn't like to play? Sure, it was a fight, but that didn't mean they couldn't have fun, right?

Of course, Chaonis was still new to the concept of 'life or death'. He had never had such a responsibility before, and his mentality just hadn't made sure a drastic shift toward truly understanding just what danger was, even if it was his forte. He had no intention of learning any better now, either.

"Oh. Uh. That one isn't as cute," he said dumbly, fists dropping a little as the rabbit changed size. Yeah, he had definitely liked it better when it had been small. "Warning! Fisticuffs ahead!" He yelled quickly, powering up his attack and launching at the rabbit, instead of doing the smart thing and getting the hell out of the way.

It was a bunny, he was not going to run from it.

He slammed his fist into the rabbit's 'gut' as it charged to body slam him, hoping to throw it off, though he suddenly wondered how effective this was going to be.

"Take that!" Serandite declared in satisfaction, watching his expression change from cocky to dumbfounded. (She lived for that look. Sometimes she wondered why she didn't upgrade to a more you know-- weapon-y weapon. Like Linarite's staves or Obby's sword but she was reminded when she saw the various reactions to a growing bunny. Sweeeeeet.)

The bunny still charged forth, regardless of the attack that Chaonis called out. Serandite's smirk was going strong as Chaonis's punch was absorbed by Loppy's stuffing, his fist sagging into the soft plush. Honestly, did he really think that a physical attack was going to be effective against stuffing? Obviously, he thought so.

The only effect it had, if any, was minor-- the bunny's closed eyes looked down menacingly at Chaonis before taking a giant swipe at his figure with a large paw. Twenty pounds of stuffing was soft when you punched it but it certainly was effective as a punching bag when swung your way.

That dumbfounded look that Serandite got a kick out of seeing come over Chaonis' face remained and even deepened when his punch connected, but did nothing beyond sinking into the plush. What the hell was this?! A serious walking, moving, giant bunny doll!? And one that knew how to punch.

"Whoashit," he yelped, pulling himself back but being knocked when the paw hit his shoulder and nearly toppled him off his feet. He jerked his body in response, correcting his imbalance and bracing again, watching the rabbit for a moment before he growled.

"Leave it to a girl to expect a dolly to do her work for her!" He yelled angrily, charging the rabbit again, his Fisticuffs attack still in full swing. He opted for the obvious method: just keep punching and kicking the thing until it broke! He just hoped he was fast enough to get in a few good hits before it thwapped him on the head, or got bigger, or exploded or something.

He had no idea what to expect from it.

Did he really think that shouting out rude remarks was going to change the outcome of this battle whatsoever? It didn't matter what he shouted out-- Loppy was Serandite's preference of weapon and would continue to remain that way.

If the scout had been watching her, he would have noticed her disappearance but his attention exclusively focused on Loppy for the moment. From behind the scout's back, a perfectly small pink heel made contact with Chaonis's back, intending to knock him out. (Although if her small kick could knock someone out, she'd be amazed.)

Honestly, this guy was useless. The only thing he had going was simple street fighting, hardly an effective use in a super-powered war. Only weapon and magic would carve the way for victory. All the better for Serandite. Useless senshi were the best, considering that made starseed snatching hell of a lot easier than experienced senshi.

Chaonis was oblivious to her getting behind him, until her heel hit his back. He stumbled a bit, turning to look back at her in surprise and anger. Irritation, perhaps, was a better way to describe it.

"What the hell?!" he asked, as if offended that she would attack him while he was so busy fighting her. But he wasn't fighting her, was he? No, he had to beat up a bunny first.

He turned to the rabbit, knowing he couldn't take his eyes off it for too long, and yelled as he swung his fist, the Fisticuff attack still in effect. The attack slammed the bunny in the midsection with enough force to rip a hole in it, sending it back enough for Chaonis to turn around and look at Serandite.

The ground rumbled under him, and he realized his attack just decided to end. Once he had accumulated some amount of energy, how much he had no idea and certainly no control over, from his attacks it would expend itself randomly. The ground shook and splintered, and a nearby building rumbled menacingly, cracks racing up it and rocking the wall's stability.

Did.. her bunny just.. She stared forward ather weapon now showcasing a giant hole in it's stomach. Her dumbfounded look matched Chaonis's previous one, eyes opened wide and eyebrows rising almost to the height of her hairline. Her mouth opened in an "O" shape, jaw droppng.

She cursed, about to call forth her youma to attack Chaonis when a splintering noise sounded through the air. Having never heard the sound before, she couldn't identify it. But she would recognize it in less than a second as she looked, recognizing the massive amount of cement threatening to spill over. Senshi, negaverse-- super-powered or not, that was guaranteed to kill anybody and everybody. Except for the possibility of Superman. But they weren't superman, were they?

s**t, this senshi had hell of a lot of power. A pity he couldn't control it.. Or rather, a pity for him. It would be a lethal unfortunate disadvantage for the negaverse if he learned how to use it. Serandite hoped he never would.

Except his topic of strength wasn't important at the moment. She returned her bunny to the subspace, the giant stuffed animal suddenly disappearing from view.

"See ya!" She called out cheerfully, hoping that he would get crushed under the unstable building as she teleported out of the vicinity, even if it was an unlikely option.

...Just like a negaverser to leave a senshi stranded.

Chaonis let out a triumphant sound when he managed to break the rabbit, thinking that was pretty much like winning the match, right? Right? Plus, the shocked face on the woman seemed to be a good sign. If he had a camera, he would have taken a picture, to keep that with him.

And mock her with it if they ever met up again, assuming they both got out of this fight. He was so confident, though, that he was totally sure that he could beat her, Captain or not. Whatever! He was the Senshi of Danger, man.

He lived for this stuff.

Of course, the wall coming down would probably end that in a hurry if he let it, and he was distracted from the fight, from the Negaverser, when the building started to tremble, crack, and soon fall down in clumps. The building itself didn't fall, but it was still enough stone to hurt.

"Hey!" he yelled, hearing the Nega abandon him as he scrambled out of the way of the falling stone. When the smoke cleared he was alone, no rabbit or girl anywhere nearby. He growled, kicking a hard stone and hurting his foot in the process, which did nothing to relieve his stress. His powers, he was quickly realizing were not in his control.

And that sucked.

FIN!
