The sun wasn't yet too bright and the air was still light and clean as Abiria headed out for a morning walk. The fluffy furred lion padded away from his den, yawning a bit as he did. Wow, this was looking to be good weather.

Heading down by the local watering hole, the male decided to take a seat and relax, wondering if anyone interesting might be in these parts today before he headed for hunting.

User Image Kimondo was down b the watering hole, getting a nice long drink before she went back to berating everything that happened to be on the savannah that day. Kimondo was not a mean hyena, she was just a trouble maker and happened to like being one. Her life was fulfilled quite nicely when others were annoyed by her very existence and she wouldn't have it any other way. At least until she had pups. She told herself that once she has herself a litter of pups she'd quite the dangerous behaviors she loved so much to spare them from being retaliated against.

Noticing a couple of birds settling down for a drink, Kimondo decided to take the opportunity to terrorize them. Rushing from her spot at the watering hole towards them, running through some of the water and spritzing some of the nearby animals who also gathered for a drink. She laughed wildly as she did so, enjoying the panicked squeaks of the birds.

Out of no where, seemingly, a bright yellow hyena ran past, splashing Abiria as she did. Oh! Well that was certainly interesting. Immediately, the lion began to chuckle, watching her chase the birds.

"Very nice work!" he laughed, watching the squeaking little creatures flying about. Very nice indeed!

After Kimondo managed to chase off the birds she skidded to a hault, catching her breath as she did so. That was certainly a good time for her, but apparently it was a good time for someone else as well as she heard laughing coming from behind her. Turning she noticed a rather large and fluffy looking lion watching her as she made her mischief.

"I try my best," Kimondo grinned, snickering afterwards with her raspy voice ringing out quite clearly. She was a hyena after all, they were definitely the boisterous type.

"Who are you, strange fluffy beast?" Kimondo asked. Unlike Joto, her teasing and poking fun at was all in good spirits. She meant nothing by it, just like nothing was meant by her. "Your fur would keep the savannah warm on the coldest of nights!"

The male continued to laugh till she had chased off nearly all the birds and was still doing a bit of it as she turned to speak to him. His great belly and poofy fur took a few moments to settle and Abiria breathed deeply, still getting over his amusement. Ah little birdies, how silly they could be.

"I am Abiria. I live in a den nearby." he told her, once the laughter had subsided and his breathing returned to normal, "And it most certainly could - it keeps me quite snug on the coldest nights at the very least." What shame was there in agreeing to the fluffiness of his fur, after all? The lion was very proud of it, and loved his thick coat.

Shaking his head, the feline smiled again, "And who might you be, bright chaser of birds, hm?" the teasing was returned playfully and meant in a harmless fashion. If she was to greet him oddly, he should to the same, should he not?

"Kimondo," The bright yellow hyena answered, grinning all the while, "They call me Kimondo, but the name I originally had. The one you get from your birthers, I don't know that anymore."

Kimondo was an odd hyena, from what she did to how she spoke. She never referred to her parents as such, mostly because she never remembered having actual 'parents'. The clan she was raised in, before disbanding, never held any yellow or starred hyena. At one point she was told that she had been dropped there, and since they would not turn away any hyena, especially a female one, they clan raised her since she was young. She had a birth name at one point in time, she knew she did, but when she couldn't remember what it was, they renamed her and since than she's never looked back.

"Abiria," She said, repeating his name a couple of times, "I like this name. I will use it for one of my pups in the future."

Kimondo was adamant about having her own family one day, where she could start her own clan of faithful little minions who would love her and never leave her, until she felt she needed to kick them out because they're being annoying. Kimondo was gonna be a great mom, no?

"Fluffy-Fur Abiria, do you chase the birds?" Kimondo asked, grinning.

Abiria blinked. Not remember your name? How odd. "Why is that? Have you just been away from home for so long or were you very young last you heard it?" he inquired before realizing he might've said something to make her uncomfortable. Oh well, really. If she didn't want to explain, she could just say so.

Abiria's mother had been a tad neglectful - walking off at one point and not even remembering she had a son - and his father had never been in the picture - just a fling of sorts - but he could never imagine not knowing your own name. But of course. there were all sorts of reasons it could happen, right? Not that he could completely imagine any of them, but Abiria was also not the creative and imaginative sort anyway. He was sure the truth would be just as amazing to him as any ideas he could come up with.

"Well thank you very much." he said, smiling at that. A yellow starred hyena pup with his name - that'd be cute. "Hopefully not TOO soon in the future, eh?" he joked. Chasing birds while pregnant would be awkward, ne? Anyway, she looked young, no need to rush into babies just yet. But hey, some girls could be like that!

A chuckle rose from his chubby belly and fluffy furred body, "Oh sometimes, for fun and sport. Not half so well as you do, I'm afraid. I lumber a bit too much and they hear me."

"Soon, soon. Pups I want soon," Kimondo chimed musically. She really did want pups soon. It was probably an odd thing to hear from such a young hyena, but she grew up without a family-family and was merely raised communally by her clan. While she loved her clan and did think of them as family, she knew they truly weren't and was looking for any way to supplement that factor.

"That is so sad, Fluffy Abiria. Sad, indeed. How do you have fun if you can't chase birds well? Do you roll in mud? Do you swim?" Kimondo asked, giving off a laugh as she did so.

Abiria laughed and clapped his paws a bit. "Well that is good for you then." he chortled, nodding his blue maned head, "Hopefully you find the right male to give you them. There are a few good hyenas in these parts if you're looking. I know of one a ways away, he's a decent fellow. Verrrrry sarcastic, but he's a good sort just the same."

"Oh sometimes, yes." he waved a paw at that, not really too concerned. Swimming could be fun, generally after anything muddy since his coat needed to be cleaned. "I have my fun, don't worry."
