Whisper was adjusting well to her grown body, sometimes even just pausing in solitude to watch the individual muscles flex in her legs; things that hadn't been sculpted as a pup, things that fascinated her and made her proud. Daughter of a beta she might be, but the girl could and would hold her own if need be; Whisper didn't need the title to hide behind, unlike her "prissy" sister who decided her best course in life was to woo one of the princes.
Honestly. Who thought of something like that as their main life goal? All they had up there was a beast, a creeper, and a guy surely marked for dead that hid behind two of his sisters most of the time she saw them; Whisper had no inkling of their alliance, merely thinking Oson'gar yet another manipulative parasite to add to the bunch of political ones she didn't bother dealing with. And if one of them was like that, then obviously that meant the other two probably had it too. Great.
The other thing that soured Whisper's day was knowing that her mother was now sharing her den with Ba'al. The adolescent rolled her eyes and kicked at one of the loose stones amongst the larger boulders that led to the upper court's dens, watching it bounce with tiny cracks each time it hit the ground. She didn't like sleeping there much anymore, even when the male wasn't around; his presence just tainted it. Sure, he had killed the runaway slave, but so what? If she had gotten the chance, she would have done the same.
But whatever. Most she could do was go from day to day and try to keep herself entertained. Sometimes that meant terrorizing Adrieal, other days it meant stalking random wolves until they noticed she was there. Today, well . . . she had nothing planned. That was the thing! Whisper huffed as she followed after the rock, figuring the best way to spend her time now was to pursue it, flit it between her paws, see how long she could hold it.

Anansi stood upon the precipice which marked the joint behind the higher court and that of the more warrior based culture, this part of the territory was where the masses slept, beyond the politics of the Lords and Ladies and the talk of neighbouring and other foreign packs, down there was where the ferocious, the twisted and blood thirsty resided. He felt a tingle of excitement shiver up his spine and he shook himself out slightly, the pale goblin markings swishing and swaying giving them the appearance of them howling, moaning and waling. Anansi had started off a rather small pup which gave the impression that he was to take after his mother, being rather petite in form however since hitting puberty he had seemed to have shot upwards taking on his fathers height however he still kept the same dainty features of his mother, so though he had the height of his father he was rather feminine looking.
Also, though his mother and father had never been protective of them from the start, he and his siblings now seemed to be able to explore further without much questioning. This opened new paths for Anansi, more opportunity to gain more stories and more tales. He had heard it rumoured that the sheep pelted old female told many a tale when in the mood and he hungered for such a meeting. Thus he set out with an aim in mind, though as he declined into the bowels of the territory his ears caught the sound of a faint tapping. He edged slowly downwards, the sound growing and then as he rounded a large outcropping rock at the base of the decline his mist blue eyes caught sight of a young female. He cast his eyes over her, predominately black, a little white, much like the blood shamans line however that orange did not belong to them, the only orange lay with the Beta female's line.
He tensed with annoyance slightly, here he was hoping to meet a warrior and he bumps into one of the court members. He contemplated creeping back up the incline but that defeated his object for today, it was a long trek to find another location to descend with ease into this part of the territory and he had no interest in the going one's back in the court presently thus he shook himself out and walked forward hoping he could casually walk by her without any introduction or greeting and proceed on his mission for the day, he was one of the princes after all.

"Come back here, you," she muttered to the rather slippery-in-her-paws rock. Some of it must have chipped off when it had bounced, giving it an odd slanted angle that made it move either more than she thought it would with each swipe, or not at all which forced her to backtrack and reclaim it. Only when out of frustration she had whapped the thing to see how far it would go did she realize it meant having to either re-find it, or another like it . . . No, not even then. The game was too simple, and Whisper was tired of simple.
She turned with a quiet huff at this infuriatingly boring circumstance and found that she wasn't quite alone. One of her peers - alpha child, she realized - was apparently trying to be quiet as he walked . . . What, stalking her now? "What's on the mind?" she asked with slightly narrowed eyes. This one she knew was Anansi, but she had more colorful names in mind: like Goblin Butt. Aah, Goblin Butt. But Mother would kill her if she found that her daughter was being disrespectful; after all, Rumor was one of the Goblin King's favored, hence how she found her position as Beta. Technically there was training involved too, but Whisper was sure it was more the favor part.
She wasn't one for favors, though. Flat out evidence was better. She stood up straighter as if to be more impressive looking. "Because if there's something interesting going on today, I want in."

Anansi watched carefully as the female batted the rock about, slowly making her way forwards and away from his direct path from here to his intended destination, though he didn't know where Ulfhildr resided, he had simply hoped upon stumbling upon her or someone that might know where to find the she wolf. Juuussstt a little bit further away, his mind willing the stone to flip a little further each time and then once he was happy he had a break for it, he lashed out with purpose and a little haste, though not to much as to seem like he was running away from anything, just that he was a busy person with places to be. However his luck failed him and a net of four words catch and stumbled him, he tensed with annoyance, his shoulders bunching and then slowly he turned to face the female.
He stared at her calmly, watching as she puffed herself out, he felt like rolling his eyes, just another pretentious pup, like there weren't enough already and to make demands like that, well did she truly expect an answer to such a question. Anansi was use to court life so far, never coming down to this life, he should expect things to be a little more brazen among the warriors but this pup belonged to the court, his own eyes narrowed slightly now, pondering upon her alliance, was it with the courtiers or the warriors. Anansi failed at trying to find any information upon the father of the Beta females broad and it now made him wonder. He considered his options, it was still early morning, he could spare this query a little time so he turned to fully face the female and replied, 'Interesting,' he mulled the word over, 'You want in do you, well why should I let you in, hm?'

"Why not?" she retorted. "I might train with the warriors, but I'm still of the court." Even if she didn't participate in their discussions, or pretend to have grace and an effeminate appearance, or fully understand the politics and plots, or for that matter care what direction of the court would take in the future . . . Funny how she could still stake a claim when she pleased, then.
So in the future, a top-class warrior and possible semi-royalty as a beta child. That, she could get used to. All she'd need was a slave to use, or two . . .
"Or do you think I'm still beneath any of that?" Whisper added accusingly, wondering if it was possible to rile this one up. Obviously she could with Morozko and Lycosidae, and maybe one or two others - this one was the one that acted the most like the queen, less active about participating and more about observing things, gathering things. In short: Goblin Butt the Creeper.

Anansi inwardly shivered with annoyance, he really, truly had had enough of pretentious little pups not just his own siblings, the so called 'rival' heirs but now it seemed every other pup thinking they were 'it', like the world owed them something or that they had been squeezed from the wombs of wolves who were held in high acclaim, their pups thinking it should be instantly past down to them. Anansi knew from his already small collection of tales things like respect had to be earnt or you soon paid for false pretence. He swallowed hard and stared nonchalantly at the female, 'You fail to miss the point, I do not care if you are training with the warriors,' She flickered his eyes across her body at that, looking at her muscle tone; training with the warriors? He doubted that and if she did it wasn't any of the elite or she'd not have a moment to herself. 'Nor do I care that you are classed among the courtly members of the pack, you are of no interest to me and I do not see why I should allow you to tag along with me.'
Perhaps riling an already fiery pup was not the wisest of decisions but he truly did not care, besides the potential of learning the knowledge of her lineage was slim, she seemed all take and no give. He stared beyond her and his route to freedom and desired nothing more than to simply put her behind him and set off in search of the great ram horned adorned female in hopes of hearing a tale or two.
