Despite having found Ignacio; despite being part of a team now; despite her promises to Azzo even, Lacrimosa found something almost tranquil about late night patrols through out the sleepy city. It gave her time to think, to not worry about the stresses of school work, relationships or missing siblings. It gave her a focus and a cause. Shame she was really too green to be really be of use out on the streets.
Moving from roof top to roof top, the breeze through her pigtails, the pink-clad sailor soldier took her trek easy tonight. She doubted that she'd come across a youma, prayed even. She might later be proven wrong, but for now she enjoyed the sight through her mental rose tinted glasses.
"Perhaps," she mused to herself as she went, brown eyes glancing about for signs of danger. "This would be more enjoyable still if I had company."
Shame she was too intent in looking for danger she wasn't keeping an eye out on herself, making a leap from a lower building to the fire escape of a higher one. She had turned her gaze at the wrong time and her hand slipped, not catching the iron "balcony" as she should have.
Down tumbling she went for the concrete below.

Chaonis was nothing if not a slacker. He would have to discover, through trial and error, that this 'being a senshi' thing was not something he could walk through with the same detached, apathetic attitude with which he approached most other things in life.
But that lesson was for later. Right now? He didn't really care about the 'job'. He just cared about being powered up, about exploring his abilities, about making himself stronger and, most importantly, having fun. That was always his driving rule.
He was not doing any of those things at the moment, though, just walking down an alley during a pretend 'patrol' when something made his neck tingle. Had he just felt someone elses' power? Or was he aware that someone was nearby? Or...
He looked up.
"Whoa!" He instinctively held out his hands as if to catch the girl that was falling from the roofs, but he was in a bad place and she landed too high up on his chest, making him fall backwards and his the ground with her on top of him.
"Oopph!"

She let out a squeak when she landed, another when what she had landed on toppled back and made a rough noise. Waiting for perhaps another fall, one eye opened when it never came and then she hastily made it to her feet. Because inanimate objects didn't make noises like that when she landed on them, so it had to be a person, and she didn't want to be keeping them on the nasty ground.
Once up she did a little half spin to face him, worried brown eyes glancing down at his fallen form. "I didn't hurt you, did I?" a gentle and worried voice asked him. It was obvious she felt bad about using him as a landing spot.

Chaonis grumbled something, taking his time getting up. It hadn't hurt that badly, and he knew he wasn't injured, but why let her know that right away? It was more fun to just complain and see if she felt bad about it. She had landed on him, after all. Of course, he had put himself there but still.
Another case of 'what she didn't know'.
Opening one eye, he looked at her sharply, shaking his head. "I guess not," he grumbled, getting to his feet slowly. He made a show of it, dusting off his padded senshi uniform and even taking time to adjust his caution tape bow. Though, he didn't like to call it that. That was wussy.
"What the hell were you doing, free falling from buildings? You do know that's a terrible idea, right?" He glared at her, then looked up. What had she been doing? Jumping from the rooftops? He had done it, too, of course, the first time he had met Scorpio. So that was actually fairly sentimental for the tough punk.

Not that he had to try real hard to make her feel bad, she was doing a good job of it herself. How could she let herself not pay attention like that?! She could have gotten hurt seriously and Ignacio would have been so mad! Azzo too she was sure. She'd been lucky some one had been there to catch her.
But she could have hurt him too! She certainly seemed to have with how slowly he was getting up. Immediately she wished she had some sort of healing power, as opposed to distracting flower petals.
"I'm still really sorry," she murmured again, bowing slightly. Ugh, this was no way to get on the side of other senshi. She probably came off as completely lame-
A distraction from her self-depreciating thoughts came when he began to scold her. Okay, sure maybe she deserved for it for being reckless enough to not pay attention but who did he think he was? He wasn't her brother, that was for sure, and her cheeks puffed up in mild indignance.
"I wasn't free falling, I'll have you know." Her tone, surprisingly, was still gentle and soft - holding no ill will despite her semi-annoyance with him scolding her like he knew her. "I was roof running and I missed when I went to grab onto the fire escape."

Chaonis eyed her humorlessly, though really he was very much enjoying himself. She looked like the sort to get flustered, or at least apologize into oblivion, which was fun to play with. He wasn't feeling especially mean at that moment, though, so she might get off easier than most.
Maybe.
He put his hands on his hips, watching the Senshi and shaking his head like a disapproving parent. He saw her get huffy at his chiding, but he didn't seem to let up. He did sigh and lift his hands, though, when she admitted to missing the jump.
"Yeah, I know that can happen. And jumping from roofs is hella fun," he said, not saying that he had missed a jump himself, and would have fallen if Sailor Scorpio hadn't been there. And this was before he had become a Senshi himself, so he would have been in a whole lot more trouble.
"So, jumping from roofs for kicks, huh? Boring night? Or just really emo?"

Her indignance melted when his hands lifted from his hips, which had been a mildly amusing site as most men didn't put their hands on their hips like that. Or not many that she had seen anyway. She had chosen to ignore his "disapproving parent" rendition.
"I was jumping roofs because it's the fastest way to get around the city for patrol," she informed him. "Or, at least it is for me. Running around the streets of the city can tie up your time if there are crowds of people."
Not a very good fighter in the terms of being a senshi, defensive senshi for the lose, she didn't let it get the best of her and took patrolling very seriously. It was actually a part of her daily routine and she hardly ever broke it.

Well, her answer made sense, at least. He was down here, walking through alleys, and she was up there bouncing from rooftops. Much more fun, a lot faster, and easier to hide. That also explained why Scorpio had been up on the roofs the first day they had met, didn't it? He would have to adjust his style, and do the same.
Anything to avoid the boring.
"Yeah, that's a good point. Crowds of people are annoying when I'm not in a hurry, much less when I wanna get some where." He sighed, actually engaging in conversation for once, instead of just jumping straight to the insults. Though, he sprinkled those in there, too.
He didn't want to ruin his rep, after all.
"So what are you?" he asked, not sure how to go about asking another senshi what their 'sphere' was. And he liked to show off his own. He frowned, shaking his head. "Better yet, who are you?"

It also made it easier for tracking down youma, since she no longer had the ability to feel them. Of which she didn't say aloud because he was likely to think her insane and wonder off. Even if he was a bit rude, company was company. Any more she wasn't enjoying the feelings of being alone.
At his questions, however, she turned bright as she suddenly realized she hadn't introduced herself. 'Ah, stupid Melody, she chastised herself. It was always nice to know who you were talking to.
"I'm Sailor Lacrimosa, the senshi of Cherry Blossoms~ A pleasure to meet you, Mr. ?"

"Sailor Chaonis," he said, then offered her a grin. He had just been chastising her for doing something stupid, but as it turned out, that was right up his alley. Without irony, of course. "Senshi of Danger."
He didn't offer her his hand, though, not much for actually being polite. Asking for her name had just been out of curiosity, and since they were now keeping each other company it made sense to know her name. He considered her, tilting his head.
"Cherry Blossoms? That's the weirdest one I've heard yet," he said, though he was still new and had no idea of the scope of such things. Not that he cared. That was essentially book work, keeping track of everyone, and he wasn't interested in boring himself.
He grew tense, hearing something moving at the end of the alley.

"Senshi of Danger?" she echoed curiously, wondering how such a sphere worked in the line of duty. And how better it might be compared to her fragrant attack.
However she didn't get the change to elaborate as he tensed up, the pigtailed senshi swirling around to look where the other was. There was no telling what it could be this late at night so it was better to be on guard. Times like these she missed her ability to sense youma.
At the back of the alley something skittered about searching for something but it didn't know what. That was until it got a little closer to the two in it's path and a knowing seemed to go off in it's mind. Starseeds. And not just any starseeds but pure, Senshi starseeds! Beady little eyes stared at the two, a glint catching them. An inhuman squeak, louder then an average mouse, echoed and the youma grinned to itself and moved out into the light.

"Well s**t."
Chaonis stared at the rat without much amusement on his face. Rat? Mouse? Whatever. Giant rodent that was clearly not natural. And the feeling crawling down his spine made him absolutely certain that it was not natural, but rather a Youma.
He was really starting to hate those things.
Monster seemed to be crawling all over this city, which also explained why there were so many Senshi running around. Like himself, and his new acquaintance, who had managed to talk to him for five minutes without him pissing them off. That would at least make working with him easier.
"You got a good attack?" he asked her, glancing sideways at her. He had a good one, but it was... unpredictable, and he would rather finish with it than start the fight with it. Which was probably the first time he had ever thought to be smart about his attacks.

A giant rat... Great. Between snakes and tigers and chickens, she was getting quite tired of all these animal based youma. What was next, an elephant?
As the rat stared them down, Lacrimosa could only wish they had a giant cat to take care of the darn thing. She turned to Chaonis with a slightly sheepish look. "Uh... Well I have one that's very distracting?" And it might slow it down, if she was lucky.
This was taking too long, they weren't even running or screaming! How boring. With another inhuman squeak the youma moved to run at them. They never tasted quite as good as when they were full of fear.

Chaonis looked at her. Distracting? That didn't sound like it was going to be too useful, but maybe they could work something out for it. He wondered how she managed to beat Youma by distracting them, but would have to ask her later.
Right now, they had a squeaking, apparently angry rat running at them.
"Alright, you stupid youma! Better look out, cause damn right there's danger ahead!"
He brought his fists up. He had his attack, and he was just going to have to use it. He charged, yelling, "Warning! Fisticuffs ahead!" With that, his fists became his weapons, and he made to meet the rat head on, swinging for its face.

She'd have no real answer, because she was always fighting with some one else and it was through sheer teamwork they managed to defeat youma. She'd never fought one alone and didn't quite think she'd survive one on her own. She was a horrid senshi.
She moved to apologize when he moved to charge the thing, brown eyes wide. She had no doubt he knew what he was doing, or at least hoped he knew what he was doing, she just wasn't used to whoever she teamed up with charging the thing. Here was to hoping that beating it up would get rid of it?
The rat wasn't sure he liked where this was going, usually he wasn't charged at. But there was no way he could let such prizes get away! First he had to avoid those fists.
With agility that wasn't really surprising for a rat, though perhaps a giant rat, it turned quickly to try and swing it's tail for the charging senshi. With any luck it would trip him. Or maybe even knock solid into him and send him flying.
