Kivumbi
Kivumbi made her way out of the water, not bothering to shake the water from her fur. She'd been in the pride for so long now...it was hard to remember any life before it, since she'd found so much happiness she'd never had before. Heck, she was even better at swimming now! Her movements weren't so awkward in the water, and she could hold her breath longer, and she could go further....It was perfect.

And the fact she was a hunter, something she was GOOD at, and wasn't looked down on for it made her absolutely giddy. Along with the fact she'd been making friends. Yup...life was definitely good, as she flopped onto the sand, not caring if she was going to end up with sand 'mud' on her belly and legs and tail.

Kaito
Kaito had been listening to the quiet motions that were the ocean welcoming him to a home he'd never really remember. His sister was here, living here in the Bahari home. He knew this and was comforted by it, he knew she'd be safe here and had a feeling it was his destiny to be here eventually aswell. He had heard mention from his Father of a Mother for him here. Kaito sighed softly and relaxed just off to teh side on the beach, sand was comfy, warm and cozy like an embrace.

Smiling he yawned and let his eyes close slowly. Just before they closed he froze and stared a little longer. There was a female, laying, recently wet, sandy now. Her pelt sparkled like the water she was obviously swimming in and this made his eye's catch. he remained quiet though and watched slightly.

Kivumbi
Kivumbi was unaware of being watched at first, simply enjoying the sand beneath, the sound of the ocean to her side, and the warm sun above. It was a perfect day, clear and calm, with just enough of a breeze off the ocean to keep it from being sweltering. After a bit, the lioness fidgeted, feeling the eyes on her. Curious (and a little unnerved), she looked in the direction of the feeling, and blinked. Oh...it was a boy. Looked like his mane wasn't fully grown in yet, either. She smiled at him. "Hello! Is there something you need?"

Kaito
"Oh! Me, gawsh no Miss." He said, obviosuly startled into a blushing state. He smiled warmly and shuffled a bit to a more relaxed position. He was calm here, regardless how much her voice caught him off guard.

Stretching, trying to act 'cool' he yawned again and replaced himself. "How are you? Besides wet?" He asked, smiling his best.

Kivumbi
Kivumbi giggled. Poor boy...she hadn't meant to startle him. But he definitely didn't startle like most. That was a good thing. "Sorry for spooking you." She pushed herself up into a sitting position. "I'm doing well. Just finished a swim, thinking about trying to catch a fish later." If she could manage it. Oooooh, she hoped she could. "I don't think I've seen you before. I'm Kivumbi, a Kinegewe in the pride."

Kaito
"Swimming is fun, not my style though. It's the unfortunate part of knowing people here." He smirked softly. He had enjoyed swimming a long time ago, but had slowly lost interest. Not a surprise because he Dad wandered everywhere but here and he was still with him, not for much longer he decided. "A fish does sound nice." He smiled softly, a growl from his stomach pointed out that he was indeed hungry, probably for just about anything though.

Eyes gazing away a moment to get rid of his repeating blush he laughed gently. "Sorry about that, my stomach likes to think ahead sometimes." He giggled and looked at her, it was obvious in all forms that he wasn't used to many females, he was an adventure-er, not a lady charmer.

Kivumbi
Kivumbi tilted her head a bit, curious again. "Are you a rogue with friends or family here?" If so...well, that was definitely interesting! It wouldn't entirely surprise her either. He looked rather earthy. Then again....Vuai was black and red!

She giggled, and shook her head. "Don't worry about it. You're still young...your stomach will like reminding you of that. If you want, I know where we can find some fish that was don't have to catch!" Even if he was nearly-grown, he'd still need to keep his strength up, so he could finish growing.

Kaito
Kaito was fond of the way thsi female dealt with him, he could even compare it to a Motherly way. She was calm, cool, collected and offered him a good meal. He couldn't find a bad thing about this place at all. Nicest lions he had a feeling he'd ever meet. "My sister has joined here, I'd imagine to find the home our Father had promised us long ago. I prefer taking the venturing route, enjoying a good follow the wind experience!" He proclaimed excitedly. His Father was a good lion, but had his spacey moments and it seemed he was stuck in those moments now a days.

"Fish sounds delightful! Where would we go to get them.. but not have to catch them?" He was bewildered by this ironic sounding statement. A fish on land? Would they still have to hunt? he was curious by thsi odd hospitality.

Kivumbi
Kivumbi giggled. "Well, sounds like fun! Certainly doesn't hurt if home for you is on the paw. Just remember to visit your sister. I'm sure she'd love to see you now and again, if you're on good terms." She stood and motioned for him to follow. "There's an area not too far from here that gets covered in water during high tide. Fish will swim in there...and when the tide goes back out, the fish get stuck there. Sometimes a lot get stuck there, and even a cub can grab a fish all to themselves!"

Kaito
"Oh of course we are, family should be everyone's most important treasure." He said this very matter of factly, regardless what terms he was on with anyone, he'd make a point of seeing them more than once if they were related to him. Blood or by step-sibling. Those without a family needed family even more then those who are born into a loving home. He nodded surely to his minds idea then turned back into her voice.

"Oh my!" He startled himself, suddenly he recalled having never told her his name. He was so forgetful sometimes. "I forgot my name, it's Kaito." He said and gave a big proud smile, he had felt bad, but repaired the damage. 'My Dads choice, not my Mom, my Mom digs for treasures, I'm sure she'd have chosen something based on one of those if she were given the choice." He joked softly and stood to follow her. "A whole fish to a cub? And would they actually finish it?" He asked curiously. Perhaps the lions here were chubby?

Kivumbi
Kivumbi smiled sadly. "Yeah. I hope...I can start a family of my own someday." Since she couldn't see her parents or siblings again. She shook her head, smile loosing the sadness. "Well...it's a pleasure to meet you Kaito!" She giggled. "Your mother certainly sounds like an interesting lioness." Her own mother hadn't been nearly so creative...she'd been named for the dust her fur was colored like.

"Well...they'll try eating a whole fish. But usually, they only try it once. Their tummies remind them soon after just why it's not such a good idea. I do feel a bit sorry for them, getting tummy-pains. But...sadly, they won't learn any other way."

Kaito
Kaito could feel an air sadness wade over her, it touched him deeply and he strode to her, giving her cheek a soft lick of comfort. "Families come in due time, they don't even need to be blood related. you and I could be siblings, I would eagerly be your younger brother, you have so much you coudl teach me!" He bellowed happily. "you are smart, funny and don't make fun of me. If you wanted.." He pondered lightly, a smile on his face. "I could visit you whenevr I am nearby!" He was big on proclaiming things, felt some points needed to be addressed with a large voice, every one of them was important to him.

As she thought about this a new convesation continued. "Poor little cubs, I remember my first time eating my own meal. I learned just the same way, but with a big helping of meat my Dad had set aside for someone else. I was still hungry and didn't know when to stop myself. It was a rough night, I'll tell you that much." He giggled softly, making the cubs pains a lighter tale to be told.

Kivumbi
Kivumbi smiled brightly, perked up by Kaito's words. "I think I would rather like having you for a brother. Though I don't know why in the world anyone would make fun of you! You're a nice boy, and there's nothing funny looking about you." She giggled. "Anyone who made fun of you had better have been just playing around. Else your new big sister is going to be very annoyed with 'em." It would be nice to have 'family' again. Even if he wasn't going to be living in the same pride, visiting was still good.

Kivumbi nodded. "I was rather the same. But...well, a lesson learned is good. We're still alive and well today, because we know better!"

Kaito
Kaito laughed whole-heartedly, he felt warm and fuzzy, doing good and feeling good went hand in hand. He ratehr enjoyed thsi company from ehr and was extremely happy to see teh sadness disappear to a smiel to take its place! "Well i wil let anyone who makes fun of me knwo my Big Sister will give them a good walloping!" He giggled happily, having acitive family was a dream come true.

"That's very true, so.. now onto the actual eating of the fish?" He alughed softly, just as stomach growled loudly, impatiently waiting on them to get to the meal, rather than talk about what they learned.

Kivumbi
Kivumbi nodded, looking rather proud of herself. She would give a good wallop to any who made fun of her family. It only seemed right. But...oh yes! The eating of fish! She nodded and pointed to the crevice that several fish had gotten trapped in. "Ta-da! Bon appetit, Kaito!" It was much to her relief that there was nothing spiny or poisonous among the fish.
