It had taken her a little longer then she wanted to find Ignacio's address. Senshi meetings and homework, on top of make-up work and patrolling, had eaten up any free time she may have had to dedicate to searching. But she had finally found it and had set aside some personal time to go and visit him.
Not with out going shopping for some food and, perhaps, a gift she thought he might enjoy. Having gotten up early that morning, Melody had done some grocery shopping and then made her way over to where her beloved brother was currently living. It wasn't in the best of neighborhoods, she had found, but it was his home and she was going to welcome him in it like any good little sister should.
As she had reached the door, however, she realized she should have made sure he was home before doing this. Setting the bag down, she pulled out her phone and gave him a call. Yes she was standing right outside, but at least this way she'd know if she needed to sit outside his door for any length of time.

When the sounds of Britney Spears' infamous song "3," hit his ears, Ignacio only groaned. His cell phone ringing could only mean a single, solitary thing: he needed to cover for someone for work, again. No one was aware that his number was still working--no one he knew before had called him in ages. He had just stopped responding to his telephone one day, the day he ran out of minutes and never bothered to renew them.
Eventually, he picked up a cheap new cell phone with a pre-paid minutes plan, and gave himself about four hundred minutes. It was a necessity, really; his place of work, shitty as it may be, still required him to provide a phone number before they gave him any employment. So he had one. Over the summer, and even into the school year, he was constantly getting calls asking if he could cover a shift because someone just called in sick, or was having a so-called 'family emergency,' or just hadn't even bothered to show up. A song he once loved, therefore, turned into a song that he hated with a passion, and every time he heard his phone ring he groaned.
But still, money was money, so Ignacio lazily swatted at his cell phone until he picked it up. He flipped open the phone expecting to see the number that had become so familiar to him, but instead he was confronted with a number that he hadn't seen in ages from a sister he had seen more recently. What could Melody possibly want? Should he answer? What would happen then? Would she bust in with sandwiches? He was rather hungry. What time was it, afternoon? On a Saturday? Where was the sun? It looked nasty outside.
...Perhaps he should answer the phone.
Ignacio managed to clear the fog in his head long enough to press the bright green glowing phone button and muster a, "Mellie? What's up?" It would have been the first time he actually answered his phone for her for over six months. It would have been the first time he answered the phone for most people for over six months. Ignacio didn't really recall the time that had gone by, though; most of it was a blur to him, especially when it came to the point where Grayson had died.
...And then come back. It was still quite a bit for him to process at the moment.

Though she had found him just recently and knew he was well, there was this gut wrenching joy at hearing his voice over the phone. She chalked it up to the last six months of worrying hell and the lack of talking to him, but it didn't stop a smile from growing on her face. Or reaching her voice.
"Brother, hi~" she replied brightly. "I was wondering if you were home~" She had thought she had heard his phone go off through the door, but she wasn't completely sure. Better safe then sorry.

Wait, why was she asking if he was home?
No, he wasn't home in the way she would know it. Technically, she was well-aware he wasn't home, at this point. He should have known better than to figure that she would never figure it out. She was his little sister. Ignacio knew she would catch on that he was not really just practicing for a play at Meadowview eventually, or perhaps maybe his mother or sister would get in contact with her and figure out if she knew where Ignacio had ran off to. So he knew she didn't mean the home that he had previously had with his parents.
It wasn't the home he had shared with the once dead now alive again Grayson and his family. That home he had abandoned when Grayson had died in a car crash. Or hadn't died in a car crash. Honestly, at this point, Ignacio still wasn't sure. Didn't matter, she must have meant his apartment.
Why on Earth was she asking that one?
Ignacio shrugged it off, finally answering after a long pause with a, "Yeah." Should he make some food? His stomach was growling. It wasn't like he had much, though. Maybe he should get some ramen. It was quiet on his end again, but Melody might have heard Ignacio moving around through the too-thin door, as he headed towards his cupboard to recover a thing of ramen.
(Ramen, he despised it. It made a mockery of saimin, the much more superior noodle soup. Unfortunately, it was much cheaper to just buy a bunch of packs of ramen and not worry about the other ingredients he would need to whip himself up some saimin. Ignacio was reasonable with his spending, when he didn't randomly splurge thanks to random impulses.)
"Is there a reason, Melody?" Finally, he spoke again, as he placed the phone between his shoulder and his ear. "Was just getting food right now."

"Of course there's a reason," was her still bright reply. "See you in a moment!" And with that she hung up.
Of course she didn't give him too much time to wonder what she meant, putting her phone away she picked up the bag she had left on the floor and reached for his doorknob. Easily it turned under her guidance, the door beginning to open and Melody was left to wonder why. There were a number of reasons that were very likely, but judging by her brother's state of mind the last she saw him....
Well, she was putting her money on the fact he likely forgot to lock the door. She was just thankful he hadn't been robbed for his forgetfulness.
Breezing into the house, she let her brown eyes wonder around a moment -just a moment- before they settled on Ignacio with a packet of ramen in his hand. How sad he was left to eat something he didn't enjoy, but she knew not to press the offer of money cause he more then often turned it down. There was a slight roll of her eyes before she bee-lined it for the kitchen to set her bags down.
"Oh put that away. I have something much more filling and enjoyable for you then ramen."
And it was true for in the bags were ingredients to make pancakes (which was something she planned on doing, as she'd been learning how to), as well as some other non-perishable foodstuffs he could store away and ingredients to make his beloved soup. Of which she had gotten a list of from his mother.
Seemed like the best house warming gift she could give him, as what she had with her was a mix of gifts from those who thought the world of him. "Now, out of the kitchen so I can put these groceries away and make you something better."
