Something had been on Nyx's mind, eating away at it for the past few days. Something unreasonably terrible. There was a noticeable decrease in the scientist's cookie production, which was causing more than a few people in her department to grumble and complain.

This particular evening she had found it impossible to think, or do anything at all, and so she paced the halls looking troubled as ever.

When Mau turned the corner, Nyx was there. She stumbled as she came to a stop before running into Mau. "AH!" Nyx yelped. She had not expected to come mere inches from colliding with another person. Let alone Mau. She panted, recovering from the scare.

Nyx didn't glare at him, or even say anything snappy at him, which was unusual. Normally even the mere mention of her rival prompted either laughter or a fit of grumbling from the 'dandelion head'. She looked at him, then away. "Mmph..." She mumbled something and started to side step to remove herself from Mau's path. Even more strange, considering most days she would stand her ground and adamantly demand Mau go around her.

"Huh?" Nyx looked at Mau. "Oh. No." She wished it were as simple as that. No, her problem was far more worrisome. She sighed a little. It wasn't like she could tell him about it. Or anyone, for that matter. Nadja would kill her.

He did looked concerned, though... Odd. "I don't think I can tell you." Nyx crossed her arms and looked everywhere around Mau except for his face.

"Mm..." Nyx pondered over the question in her head. Mau wasn't the first person who came to mind when it came to confiding... But Allen was bitter and would probably blow a gasket if he found out. Nadja-no. Jen... potential gossip. Cal-had she even met Cal?

"... I guess I could sorta... use some advice... or something." There seemed to be a growing trend of Mau being nice. If her head was clearer, it may have bothered her. But right now it was sort of welcome.

"But we have to go somewhere private."

Nyx considered all options. The parking garage was too large, too many possible spies, plus... there was always someone at the station to check vehicles in and out. Besides, what if someone happened to find them in someplace like the store room and asked what they were doing?

"Your room is best." Mau's room would have to do. Plus, it would have someplace to sit, and Nyx's feet were starting to hurt. Implications were not considered by the scientist. Such things rarely crossed her mind. Except for one particular one. Involving two elites. Nyx started towards the elevators and Mau's room.

She took note of the plants. If this were any other time, she may have made fun of him for being a girl with all of his flowers and such. At least his room wasn't covered in various pokemon beds and trash.

Nyx took a seat on Mau's bed and sighed. This was stupid. Why was it bothering her so much? She was putting herself in a heap more danger by talking to Mau about it. Or. Not? What was it people did when they wanted to talk about something without talking about it? Substitute names and skirt around things. That was it. The solution to getting things off of her mind without potentially enraging Miss Nadja.

Nyx stared at one of the many plants in the room for a moment while she thought of how to phrase things. She took a deep breath. "In short, I have a friend, and I accidentally walked in on said friend... being romantic... with... a guy..." It was hard to think about. Miss Nadja and Seth. Seth. Grump of the year. Stick up the bum. Roast you alive for breathing around him. Seth.

"Mm.." Nyx made some sort of noise between a whine and a grumble, "And they... didn't see me see them." Besides Seth not being NEARLY good enough for Miss Nadja, Nyx's natural curiosity and fondness for the elite had gotten her into a mess of potential trouble.

"Yes!" Nyx's face twisted into one of intense displeasure, then relaxed some into contemplativeness. "No... Not really. Sort of. They were," She paused for a moment, "Making out." There seemed to be the same sort of emotion put into those two words as there would have been if they had been forming the beast with two backs.

"I don't know what to do!" Nyx seemed a bit more lively now that she was actually talking about it. "If she finds out I know-" She cut herself off. No no... mustn't give out too much information. "But I can't keep going around like this. It is very weird, knowing something about someone else that they don't know you know. It is all I can think about during- Well. When ever I am around her." Mau's sheets were being tugged on throughout her semi-rant, where her hand gestures added emphasis, but forgot to let go of the things they were gripping.
