The Lioness padded her way out of the ocean water. She loved the water, but the sand? Not so much. The feel of it clinging under her fur, between her paws...it was not comfortable, and it made grooming very difficult. So, after shaking her fur free of excess water and standing on the wet sand from the tide, she moved with a rather dash-like stride across the sand to the grass beyond, hoping that it would limit the amount of actual sand on her paws.

It didn't.

If anything, she had MORE sand on her than she would have liked. Damnit! She tried so hard! With a sigh she sprawled out on the grass, kneading at the blades in hopes of knocking the extra sand away. In the mean time, her dark eyes gazed out over the water; it was like she'd never gone in. The breeze had covered her wet paw prints, the tide hid all traces of her time in the water. The ocean sure got over things quickly, didn't it?

With another sigh and still kneading at the grass, she Lioness allowed herself to get lost in her thoughts. It would be nice if she could do that, too...get over things that quickly.
