Okay, its time for me to get a new mouthpiece since I'm graduating soon. The issue is that I found this website that makes custom mouthpieces for any shank, cup diameter, volume, Contour, and Backbore also all kinds of metals. Also not to mention that is without the Engravings. I messed around with it and it came to a price of 349.88! what the French toast!?!?! Is there any other place to find one. and honestly this is the first time ordering one online so i don't know the average price for this

LOL I sympathize with you. The mouthpiece I want costs $350. What instrument do you play?

Laskey makes excellent mouthpieces for trumpet and horn (idk about the other brass instruments) and the price isn't bad either. At the shop in Chicago they're about eighty dollars each, but on their website they're about 60.

If you buy anything custom made, it's going to be a lot more expensive than mass-produced counter-parts. Search for reputable brands and research what different bore/rim/cup/shank/etc size does. Don't get a shallow mouthpiece because you think it will make you cool or something like that. If possible, try the mouthpiece you buy it (this means you're better off buying from a store in person, rather than online). Even if you try a model at a store and like it, but find the same model for cheaper on the internet, you're safer off with the more expensive one at the store. Slight manufacturing discrepancies can make them sound and work different.

ya i did the research when doing the custom but thats still too much. i may just get the same kind i have now but for a large shank (i play trombone btw) for my graduation bone and put some style into since they will most likely be my last mouthpiece or just for a long time its about $148. its a SCHILKE 51D gold tip satin finish with silver Aztec engraving on the rim.
