 Days had turned into weeks, and weeks into months and still Harb traveled on. He missed his home, he missed the deep, rough voice of his father, the soft husky murmur of his mother, gods help him he even missed the sharp, bossy tones of his sisters. Most of all though he missed her, Sunshine. He had seen so many wondrous things out here in the world and wished he could show them all to her.
Sighing faintly, Harb shook his golden mane out of his emerald eyes then smiled faintly. Ah well such as life, and it would do no good to dwell on what he could not change. Getting to his feet again, the massive young male stretched and headed for the closest source of water. Living up to the likeness of his father, Harb had grown from a lanky cub, to a truly massive male with the promise of still more growth before he hit his adult size.

 Leona was named a simple name to a point, her name meant lion, however like her mother and other siblings she was named after some kind of animal. She didn't mind though, sure it was simple but at the same time Leona felt pretty simple at times too. She wasn't like her adoptive brother which some times she was a little jealous but then when she thought about it she really did enjoy being able to hunt under the cover of the bushes and such around her. Which was what she was doing at the moment.
She was creeping through the bushes, she was working on heading on a hunt, the bushes were high enough to hide most of her body except for her eyes up. She enjoyed when she got to go wander around like this. Even though her and her siblings were still full grown her mother still enjoyed her visiting and saying hello so she made sure to do that but she did enjoy the freedom that she had but she still enjoyed her family including her nieces and nephews that lived with her mother.
She looked up for a moment as something caught her eye. It was another figure walking around. she looked at the other with a curious face before smling brightly. "Hello!"

Harb's dark ears perked towards the sound of an unfamiliar female voice calling him. He lifted his head till he saw her and blinked in surprise at the owner of the voice, she was stunning! Her golden coat brought to mind the warm rays of the sun and , unknowing brought a sweet smile to his maw as he called out in return, " Hello to you as well!"
He hesitated for a moment before he began to make his way towards her. The few times he had ran into female out on their own, his size seemed to frighten them and that was the last thing the kind hearted young male wished to do. "My name is Harb, I hope I am not trespassing on your family's lands. I can go if you wish."

Leona really was surprised to see the stranger, she thought for a moment, thinking of her mother, he mom always told her to be careful of strangers even if they were the same age as you. But then again as she looked at this male she couldn't see how he could be of any harm to her, or atleast she really hoped that was the case, she didn't want to be getting into any trouble. she thought for a moment thinking out the situation before deciding that she was already talking to him and there was no point of going the other way. Her smile grew back on her face before she began speaking once more.
"It's nice to see a new face around here." She nodded before speaking sweetly once again. "You know not many others come this way." She paused before grinning and blushing a little. "I'm sorry Harb! I never introduced myself. My name is Leona." She giggled quietly.

Harb smiled more when she didn't move away from him. The closer he got, the easier it was to see even for a young male he was rather on the large size. He was already nearly a head taller than her, broad with the promise of more growth to come. He sat down a few feet from her, smiling as she lowered himself to show he meant her no harm.
"A pleasure Leona. I have been traveling for sometime and it is always wonderful to meet a new friend."
She really was a stunning creature. For the first time since leaving home, his mind was not filled with thoughts of those he left behind but of spending time with the young female in front of him.
"Since I am a stranger here, perhaps you would be so kind as to tell me a bit about this area. Maybe even a bit about yourself?"

Leona was surprised by the male, he seemed strong, very fit. He seemed like a strong lion and if there was one thing that her mother always taught her was that strong lions were good to have around. She liked strong lions. He was cute too, but she was a little cautious. Even with his signs of not being a threat she was a lioness but she was a rogue, she was raised a rogue raised by a single mother, raised around more rogues that taught her that she always had to be careful and that she always had to keep an eye out for herself and her family.
She stretched her body out some before standing up as straight as possible flicking her tail around. Watching him carefully. He didn't really seem like he came from here, he hadn't see too many others that looked like him. She wasn't sure if he had came from a pride or for that matter if he was just a passing rogue. She knew that there were times where rogues had to go to different places and find new homes. She was currently doing that now. She still lived with her mothers but she was starting to get the idea of what it was like out side of her home.
"Ah, you are a stranger?" she stated more then asked. She flicked her hair out of her eyes and the sat back on her haunches and chuckled some. "The area around here is nice, lots of prey, a good place for travelers if they are looking for food." She paused for a moment then shook her head playfully before speaking. "What would you like to know stranger? I don't even know your name." She shook her head at the idea it was pretty true.

The gold and cream male laughed faintly, his green eyes teasing as he smiled at her, " Already forgot hmmm? My name is Harb. I was just passing through here in my travels. It reminded me a lot of home so I thought I would stop and sit a spell. Lo a behold a vision of beauty appeared." Sure his tone was silky smooth, the light in his eyes playful, but his words (sickeningly sweet though they were) seemed genuine.
"I have been traveling for quiet awhile, all young males from my pride must." He didn't want to rush and scare her, for he was not one to push a female into anything despite his bulk. His father would tan his hide if he ever found out Harb raised a paw to a girl.
"Traveling as much as I do gets pretty lonely, I would love to spend a bit more time with you...if that is alright?" For a split second the shy little cub he had been peeked out of his big green eyes.

Leona looked at the male and ignored his first comment. She really wasn't used to having to keep track of names other then her families names so for her to have to really pay attention to his she didn't really pay much attention to that. She chuckled at his other comment, she really wasn't used to comments like that. she was a bit of a plain lioness, blended in not many interesting colors other then the white markings. His markings were more interesting then hers, he was nice and very strong. He had a way with words too.
She stood and looked around him, circled him and though carefully of his words. "you are strong for a pride lion." She said simply, she didn't know many pride lions that were that wrong, that was for sure. She paused before speaking once again. "I've never met any lions that were from a pride as strong as you."
She paused again he asked her a question she laughed before nodding. "I don't see the harm but I'm watching you Harb." She paused again before nodding at him. "My name is Leona."

Harb smiled more as he regarded the female before him, " Thank you for your kind words, but I am not even as big or strong as my father." Now this wasn't true in the least, he was easily the size of his massive father, but to the young son he would never equal his dad in his mind.
When she spoke of pride lions, he chuckled faintly " Well the pride I come from is kind of unique but the way we live demands that we males be the biggest and strongest we can. We live in large family groups, generally one male to many females. Most the females claim sisterhood with the other banus, with all of them raising the cubs together as one family."
He shrugged faintly, " It may seem strange to some people but we have good lives. With just a single female taking care of cubs she can't devote a lot of time to a single cub, but with two or three mothers? Each cub gets as much love and attention as they need."

Leona chuckled and then nodded at the male and chuckled some. "Well... I have seen bigger males but for a pride male you are very big and strong. Which is impressive." She paused again before nodding at him. "But like I said, for a pride lion." She winked at him, she didn't want to rub it in but she wanted to make sure that he understood what she was saying. She wiggled her toes around before flopping back on her haunches to listen to him.
She paused and then looked at the lioness curiously not really that sure of what he was talking about. She knew that there were a lot of prides that had weird and different things they did. They were different from what she was used to but she knew that she shouldn't judge she didn't like judging. She paused for a moment and thought about it. It didn't sound like to hard of a life. She knew that at times she would have loved to have some extra time with a mother when she was growing up. She knew that her mother was a single mother with a very large litter, she knew that she would have loved to have some time with her mother more but she was okay with it. But it really sounded interesting to live like that.
"It does sound interesting." She paused again and then chuckled at the male again and grinned. "I have to say it doesn't sound too bad but I'm not that sure."

Harb's green eyes sparkled with mirth as he grinned at her. " It is very interesting. Would you like to see it for yourself?" He tilted his head so that the floppy forelock of his growing mane flopped down into his face. "You could come home with me and see for yourself if you liked it." Now Harb was not the kind to ever force his will on another,much less on a pretty lady, but he also knew he wanted more than anything to show this intriguing young lady his home.
He gave her almost a shy smile as he pawed at the dust, " I mean, if you want to that is. I promise you would be free to leave if you didn't like it and I would take care of you. No one would ever be allowed to be mean to you. I wouldn't let them." He nodded as if to enforce his sweet but childish oath, little did he know that his sheer size would likely hold off any who would want to offer either of them grief.

She knew that she really didn't have to worry about her mother she would just have to drop a line and tell her mother that she was going to settle some where else and make herself at home there. She knew that if occasionally she could come home, that sounded really good. But what sounded the best was getting out and seeing some of the pride. She loved seeing the pride different places that was for sure and maybe for once it might have been a good idea to settle down some where.
"That really does sound like a good idea." She looked back at him with a smile before nodding. He stretched himself out a little more before speaking once again. "I sounds like an interesting place and I don't see the harm in checking it out." She nodded at him and then grinned ear to ear before turning away and then back at him. "I have to tell my mom before I go anywhere though. She'll get mad if I go to a pride with out telling her anything.

Harb stared at her for a moment with his mouth hung open in a rather comical fashion. She had said yes?! She had said -yes-!! The dopey look was replaced by a brilliant smile,"Oh Leona I am sure you will love it!"
When she spoke of her mother, he nodded," Of course! I would never want you to leave without saying goodbye to your family. I am close to my own family." His eyes darkened for a moment remember how long he had been away from home.
"I really miss them, but they will be happy to meet you too!"

Leona looked at the male and then grinned at him. That made her feel a little better if she was going to love it that made her feel good. She was really hoping that she would love it she had a feeling that she was going to do pretty good. She liked the idea of moving some where she could settle into a pride an feel good about staying there. It sounded like a good environment and that made her happy.
She looked to the side before speaking again. "I have a den not that far off and we could settle in there for the night and after I talk to my mom in the morning we could head off that way." She looked at him again and nodded she knew that she could leave with in the next day she had a feeling her mother wouldn't mind. "I'd like to meet them." She nodded at him once again.
