User ImageHands clenched tighter around a folder of papers that were held against her chest, covering up most of the “R” on her neat Grunt uniform.
Faleen made her way down the familiar path to where the tech room was, the last couple of times she had been down here had been to return things to Agent Hayes, but this time, she was heading into the room to see Elite Agent Seth since she was told he would be in his office.

Walking briskly through the halls until she found herself standing in the door way to the room where the programmers.
Here she paused, taking that moment to peer across the room to the closed door on the other side.
With a sigh the grunt lowered the folder to hold it with one hand at her side, then walked over to the door, and knocked.

Most anyone would likely be nervous in approaching Elite Agent Seth about... well... just about anything. Even the usual people who worked under him were often apprehensive when having to deal with their superior. With good reason of course, considering he was often in a bad mood... irritability being the norm.

However, as Faleen knocked upon his door, there was an answer of, "Come in."

The voice didn't sound angry or agitated, but instead distracted or preoccupied. When the grunt opened the door, she would see the imposing elite sitting behind his desk, looking at a pair of flat screen monitors. The glow from the screens illuminating the bored expression on his face. The rest of the lighting in the room was rather dim. Blue eyes glanced up momentarily to acknowledge and look over the grunt that had entered.

"Yes?"

“Sir” the grunt greeted respectfully when she opened the door, taking a moment to step in, turn, and carefully close the door once again, before she turned to face the elite.
He seemed to be working; through from the look on his face, it didn’t seem very interested. She’s glad she hadn’t seemed to interrupt him from anything important.

Making eye contact with the elite as she spoke “Good afternoon sir, I’m hoping to submit an application to join your tech department, specifically in robotics, for the new project in drone security. I feel that my skills could be put to good use”
She answered his question, very formally, the folder still at her side.
Despite how composed she tried to keep herself, she was feeling nervous, she had been going over what to say multiple times in the last couple of days.

"Hm," was the only thing that came from him as Seth straightened up in his chair after Faleen spoke.

His hand then reached out, a signal for the grunt to hand over the folder she had at her side.

"What are your credentials?" He asked tonelessly, but wondering how a little girl could be of any use around large, heavy machinery. However, he seemed to be willing to give her the benefit of the doubt. He was feeling particularly... generous today.

Faleen took a couple more steps in so she could hand her file over to Seth.
Once it was out of her hands, she folded them behind her back, standing before his desk, her back straightened answering his question.
"I've interned under Dr. Patrick Morgan, at the Camphoreon City Tech Museum, attended seminars held by expert engineers, as well as seminars I've held myself where I had been invited to discuss my work. I was granted a scholarship to the university from the leading company in robotic arms when one of my designs for a combat active robot caught there interest. In the folder are plans and details on different designs and models I have worked on throughout my schooling."
She just high lighted the more significant parts of her Robotics career, not taking in account the competitions she's entered or the different school's she's attended. her application also had a list of projects and specific fields she was most skilled at, being design and building, electrical wiring and power adapting, remote programing and optical feeds, more specifically how adept she was at all of those on the tiny robots.
Her variety also included robots from factory use, stationary single purpose mechanics, humanoid remote controlled ones designed for more complex actions, to a couple of large projects she had been working on that would have no doubt caught the attention of weapon manufacturers.
"I would be certified had I remained in school, where I was starting to become more knowledgeable in AI. But as my resume will show you there isn't anything I can't build, or fix."

This she was confident in, this had been her life since she was five, no one bested her at Robots, and she had made sure to reach that goal for the past fifteen years.

Again there was another thoughtful hum as Seth opened the folder and started to scan through it while Faleen spoke. A hand running through his ruffled hair as he carefully picked through her resume.

She seemed to know her stuff, and was confident in her abilities. He liked that, although the fact that she hadn't finished school was certainly a downside. But that wouldn't matter if she could back it up.

Leaning back in his chair, the man steepled his hands as he looked back up at her. "Impressive, Ms Ewell. We could use someone with your experience, certainly. It all looks good on paper, but do you have any examples of anything you've actually built?"

The fact that he had just used the word ‘impressive’ toward her could not have made Faleen happier.
She tried to keep a professional composure, but her joy caused her face to flush a bit, she managed to keep her smile small and dignified.

At the request to see her work, she paused, blinking for a moment, seeming to be caught off guard.
She could bring out the taser? But that would probably not be a good idea right now.
Instead, she reached in her pocket.
“I still have one thing with me Sir” she replied.
What she pulled out looked like a pod of some kind, easily fit in her palm.
Opening it up and rolling it over to drop what looked like a small metal ball onto her palm, and set it down on his desk.
“I made this for my final project to graduate high school” She explained.
Putting her attention back to the pod that had opened up, she made a gesture as if pushing a button.

The moment she did that, the ball was suddenly standing on a set of eight delicate legs, looking very much like a spider, it moved like one to.
With a few more commands from Faleen, entering them into the small controller in her hand, the little micro spider moves fluidly over his desk to face him. She stopped it soon after, then handed him the pod, on the top half of it was small screen that had feedback of what was right in front of the spider, showing an in time video of Seth sitting at his desk. On the sides, were a set on controllers, on either side of an indent where the small balled spider would sit.
“It’s not one of my big projects, but it’s a sample on the kind of micro work I can do” she said,

Seeing the little robotic spider come to life, the elite lifted a brow as it crawled across his desk. Once the pod was handed to him, he took it and lifted a brow. It was most intriguing, and Seth hadn't seen this level of work come from a grunt before. The spider continued to move around the desk as he played with the controls.

Eventually an amused smirk crossed his lips as he handed the controller back. "Again, I'm impressed. Although, I can only speculate what exactly you're using it for." It certainly made a handy little spying device, for whoever she wanted to spy on.

"In all honesty, to impress authority figures for school." she admired with a half grin, messing with the controls again, making the spider fall back into a ball that she picked up "Show my skill in micro work, mainly in remote control and optical. It has a much better impression then just having a spider running around on a surface. Not to mention the application possibilities. its everything I had to keep in mind while working on the product, what a consumer would be impressed with "
She placed it back into the controller and closed it up safely
"I assure Sir, I'm not abusing the functions of this device in any way."
She had heard enough crude comments in her display of the little robot to get an idea of what most people would imply its use for.
Not that it bothered, or surprised her.

Seth nodded quietly as he listened, that smirk remaining as she assured him that the device wasn't being used for... inappropriate purposes. "Good."

The folder with her information was shut, just as the elite opened a desk drawer to slip it inside.

"Then I expect you to report to the robotics division tomorrow morning at oh eight hundred. Agent Maxwell will be your supervisor, so you will report to him."

He paused a moment, eyeing the grunt critically. "Plus, I'm sure we won't have any repeats of... any previous mistakes?"

Her eyes widened a little more when he told her where, when and who to report to tomorrow. an overwhelming joy swelled up in her chest, causing her face to flush a little darker.
He had accepted her application. She got to work on Robots again!
"Yes Sir!" she replied, this time unable to hold back a smile.

Though at the mention of 'Past mistakes' Faleen shook her head,
"There most certainly will not be, Sir" she replied, seriously.

That smirk was persistent, although whether it was still directed at Faleen or if he had other thoughts in mind was a mystery.

"Good good... you're dismissed." This said with a wave of his hand, as he turned to look back to his screens.

Faleen bowed to him when he dismissed her, Straightening back up with a polite, but grateful “Thank you Sir” before she walked to the door to let herself out so he could get back to work.
Closing the door behind her she stood there for a moment, blinking in surprise, cheeks still pink.
She still felt an overwhelming happiness.
Putting a hand over her chest to remind herself to breath the whole time smiling, she moved herself forward, quickly walking out of the lab.
Agent Maxwell at oh eight hundred,

She would have to tell Hayes about this the next time she bumped him.
