I'm still learnin' bout engines and everyone I ask keeps telling me that in order to remove the head, I need to obviously remove the bolts. Problem is, rather than a six-point bolt, these are more like 12pt star-shaped ones, and I was simply going to put a diff hex socket on it, but then a friend tackled me and said they were ARPs that'd lose their value if I somehow stripped 'em/smoothed the teeth.
...is there another way to remove these? expertvillage and youtube ********' fail me.

whats the full issue? your removing the bolts? Why are you removing your bolts?
