 Janalyn walked into the gym taking a break from all her classes and absently shot around with a basketball wondering about the teachers and events that had recently occurred

Michael drifted towards the gymnasium, allured by the thud of a basketball on a polished wooden surface. In his past life he had played highschool basketball, and he had loved it. Now that Michael had time off because of a break, he felt it was time to dust off his skills. Maybe whoever it was inside the gym might be able to put up a decent challenge for him.
When he entered, he was startled to find a girl had taken up the court, and was passively shooting hoops. She was a decent shot, he had to admit, but he could tell she was distracted by something, perhaps her mind was somewhere else. He decided now was as good as anytime to make his presence known, his voice echoed slightly in the massive space of the gym, "You know you aren't too bad at that."

She had just come down from a simple lay-up when a voice startled her. The ball hung around the ring then fell inches from her. She grabbed at it and looked at the boy that stood there. "thanks." she muttered wondering why he was here.

"Anytime." Michael responded involuntarily. He proceeded to pick up a ball from the awaiting rack, testing the quality of the spherical object. Once he found the results to be satisfactory, he lined up his shot, bending low at the knees, keeping his arms squared while going through the motion. The he sprung, realeasing the tension and the ball in one fluid like motion. Even before Michael hit the ground he knew it was a good shot, even before he could see the arch of the path traced in his trained mind. The ball passed through the net with a satisfying swish. He grinned to himself, his feet planted firmly behind half court.

Jana gave a half-grin. He, himself, was also fairly good. She took a seat on the ground just dribbling the ball two inches off the floor. it was a good drill for ball cotrol and hand-eye coordination as she watched the boy

Michael grinned, if the girl wanted a show, he would give her one. He then tore up the floor in a series of picks, fakes, and fancy ball control, all the way up to free throw line, where he took a running charge and thrust the ball into the air, sending it into the hoop. His next moves were a mixture of three point shots, pushes to the hoop, and other fancy things, most of which ended in a success.
But Michael wasn't satisfied yet, he wanted bigger and better. So he lined himself up at the free throw line, and took a deep breath. He took two long running steps before launching his body into the air, the basketball cradled in his right hand. Then something went wrong, he lost his grip on the ball, just before he was able to drive it home through the hoop. In that split second of distraction, he lost his judgement of how far he was to the ground, and he landed awkwardly on the ground. Michael's head slammed into the floorboards, and stars instantly flooded his vision, along with waves of racking pain.

Jana was at his side in a moment. she didn't even know this boy...what should she do? rush him over to the infirmary? she didn't even know were that was! tension and confusion coursed through her body. should Jana just...would he mind? The blood was starting to leak out of his head now, she didn't have a choice. She took a deep breath lifting the boy up so he was face up towards the ceiling. She leaned over him and felt a couple of tears drop on him she set her hands on his head letting her power go into him. a tear fell in his mouth and she was done. The wound healed itself instantly pulling together even sucking the blood back. He was whole once more Jana retrieved his ball. He's come to soon and honestly she wasn't sure what to expect from him...The thought of him being scared of what she was, pushed her away towards the exit leaving the his ball resting in his arms. hopefully he'd wake and think of it all as a dream

As the forboding edges of darkness closed around Michael's eyes, he could see the girl staring over him, a worried expression on her face. Then she turned his face so that the bright lights of the gymnasium seared into his eyes. Suddenly the lights eclipsed, an object blocking the light. In his dazed state he didn't immediately recognize the features of the girl. His muddled mind was only further confused by the sensation of drops of water splashing onto his skin. Michael thought that maybe it was raining, he should probably go and retrieve his coat... Suddenly he was unconcious, his body limp on the floor.
Inside of him the ancient Mythic stirred in the presence of other magic. The familiar warmth penetrated his subconcious, waking him from his induced sleep.
Michael awoke with a start, sitting upright as if he had just been violently awakened by a nightmare. The first thing he felt was the Mythic, which was stirring unusually at the base of his stomach. Next came the memories, the fall, the blood, the girl, and now he was healed, as if he had never had the incident. He even questioned if it was all true, maybe a hallucination or a dream. But then again, why was he still on a gym floor? He didn't remember falling asleep...
That's when he saw her, trying to escape as if scared by his very presence. It took him a second for his tongue to form words, "How did... You... You did that.... didn't you?"

She stopped suddenly her body tensed up. he had awoken, he had seen, she had been discovered. Should she try to lie? she didn't know if this boy would actually know if she had or hadn't. she decided to try the safe way out. "What are you talking about?" she asked innocently

Michael's head thumped painfully as he tried to sit upright, and he winced due to the pain. Though the mysterious girl might have healed him, his body was still feeling the aftereffects, like secondary shock waves after an earthquake. The pain only finalized his theory, that the girl was magical in some way, that she had healed him. Yet a question still plagued his mind, why would she try to hide her abilities? Almost everyone in the school had something unique about them, she'd only be an outcast if she didn't herself.
Michael charged on with his statement, "I know you're lieing, you're magical... But why hide it?" His eyes scanned her face for answers, as if it was somewhere hidden in the depths of her eyes, or on her very skin.

She turned away as her eyes flared up red. She wasn't comfortable with the situation, as always when something like this happened her eyes would give her away. "Hope you feel better." Jana muttered as she walked out.

Michael stood immediately when the girl began to leave, there was something she wasn't telling him, and he knew it. He began to feel the familiar stir in his gut as the Mythic began to churn out a magical aura. If he could get within range of the girl for long enough, she would be compelled to tell him at least something. Or at least, that was his hope.
Michael followed the girl into the halls, quickly catch up with her, "Come on, I know you can do special things, all I ask is that you tell me something! Just talk to me, you can trust me."

She sped up her pace "I beg to differ, perhaps you should see a nurse or something you must have hit your head pretty hard." there was no way she could trust this boy she met five minutes ago. her eyes glowed brighter
