Reyn hung back by one of the many sculpted bushes as students of all ages milled about the courtyard. He'd been mostly alone all his life and when anyone tried to befriend them they inevitably ran away simply because being around him didn't 'feel' right. He never blamed them, he knew what he was. He didn't even feel right in his own skin. The teen glanced at the others from the shadows silently wishing someone would approach him but at the same time hoping they'd leave him alone. He couldn't take more heartbreak. As the sun crept toward its zenith, Reyn stopped his people watching and took up residence on a stone bench. In the relative open, he could feel the gentle wind brush his black hair across his face.
As the boy was giving up hope, a girl, about his age plopped down on the bench beside him, laughing at the antics of some seniors on the lawn. She looked pure, blissful, and her pointy little ears only helped to accentuate her grace. Reyn peeked between his dark tresses at her and she caught his gaze. "Hi there. You act new. What's your name?" Reyn was frozen but quickly blinked away his stupified expression. "Uh, it's Reyn." Having had no socialization, he had no idea how to even hold a conversation. Luckily, his new princess did. "Neat name. I'm Lacey, one of the upperclassmen here. You look my age, probably about 17, am I right?" Reyn dumbly nodded. "Awesome, you're a senior like me!" Reyn quickly shook his head. "Oh no, I'm just a freshman." Lacey bit back a dirty look and then forced a very unconvincing smile. "Oh. Okay then. Bye!" She beat a hasty retreat and Reyn slumped against the back of the bench. It's not like he was dumb, he just never had formal schooling...

Vice Principal Len Richardson was in having his walk around the courtyard. It was a nice day and the children were about walking around. It was a fairly normal day. It really made the man happy. He enjoyed the happy children. This was the reason the man enjoyed being a teacher. Just to see the children smile and laugh. Though the man eyes stopped on a young man who didn't seem so happy. One of Len's hobbies was trying to remember the students names. His time he was out of luck. So all the man had to do was walked up to the lonely boy. "Afternoon. What are you doing by yourself. You should at least get some exercise over plopping your bum onto a bench." The man said with a smile. He knew smiles cheered people up. Maybe this case was no different. It was best to befriend students over telling them to do things.

Ayame was wondering around the school when she got to the garden. She looked around with marveled eyes .This is so pretty. she thought as she smiled and looked around.

Reyn buried his face in his hands and rubbed his eyes as the pretty girl ran away. He could hear her voice muffled by the din of voices from the garden and knew she was gossiping and giggling about his predicament. He wanted so badly for someone just to talk to, to know if his life was normal. Other kids were experiments too, right? Reyn dropped his arms to his sides and sighed. Maybe someone else might try to talk to him...
Just as the thought was entering his mind, Reyn heard a new voice. His head snapped up and for a moment he squinted against the sun, trying to see who the tall figure was. He couldn't quite get the person's face in focus but he knew the voice was familiar. Raising his hand up to block the sun, Len's visage became clear.
Reyn jumped up from the bench and bowed his head to his superior. He'd never spoken to the man before, but he'd spoken at their orientation the week before. "Oh, Vice Principal! I-I'm so sorry for not participating in the games." He kept his eyes fixated on his shoes, not daring to look his superior in the eyes. After all, Mr. Richardson was an authority figure and for him to come over and admonish him, even so lightly, probably meant bad things for the future. Reyn inwardly groaned. How could he have messed up so quickly?

The man chuckled noticing the boys jump. That was something he would never understand even as the vice principal of the school. Then again he would have done the same thing we he was that age. It was at least nice to know that the boy responded to authority and there would be no need for scolding this young man. The man stopped chuckling. "Well if you don't like what the others are playing why not start a club or something. Though this school promotes being involved it doesn't seem to have many clubs." The man suggested. It would give the boy something to do and something to keep him out of trouble with. That's what Len liked. No students in his office.

Reyn kept his head lowered. He wasn't sure about starting a club. People didn't even want to be near him, why would they want to be forced into his presence once a week and have to actually interact with him, maybe even listen to him talk. Though, if the Vice Principal wished it... "I'll see what I can pull together, sir. Thank you for the advice. Good day." Reyn bowed slightly at the hips and then turned to walk off. As he trekked away from the park, he realized that while he craved attention and companionship, he was scared of it all the same. Maybe people weren't naturally repulsed by him, perhaps he actually pushed them away. As he left, Reyn decided maybe starting a club would be a good idea after all.

The man smiled as his image disappeared. This one was just another clone that he made up while the real Mr. Richardson was probably in his office or somewhere else on campus. The clones were only around when he was.

Len appeared in front of the freshman. He was probably twenty feet away. The man was quiet, but, he noticed her nonetheless. The dark hood wasn't good to wear and it was nearly against the rules. There were only some days students could wear that kind of thing. Using his powers the warlock made a gust of wind take care of that.

Len looked at the girl and stepped closer. One moment he was feet away then next he was standing behind the girl. "Wearing hoods is against the school rules unless there are certain events taking place. You will have to remove the hood." The man answered the girl. He was the Vice Principal that had to keep up the rules.

Len used the wind to move the girls ear into view. "Don't hind who you are. Elves have some abilities that wizards can only dream of. If you need something to protect your eyes then please use a pair of glasses. Hoods can suggest negative things."
