[ESSENCE + OIL]P O M E G R A N A T E || the oil
A pomegranate (Punica granatum) is a fruit-bearing deciduous shrub or small tree growing to between five and eight meters tall. The pomegranate is mostly native to the Iranian Plateau and India. In the Northern Hemisphere, the fruit is typically in season from September to February. In the Southern Hemisphere, it is in season from March to May. An ancient fruit, pomegranate is mentioned in Europe as early as the Iron-Age Greek Mythology in the Homeric hymns. Yet, it has still to reach mainstream prominence as a consumer fruit in commercial markets of North America and the Western Hemisphere. The leaves are opposite or sub-opposite, glossy, narrow oblong, entire, 3–7 cm long and 2 cm broad. The flowers are bright red, 3 cm in diameter, with four to five petals (often more on cultivated plants). Some fruitless varieties are grown for the flowers alone. The edible fruit is a berry and is between a lemon and a grapefruit in size, 5–12 cm in diameter with a rounded hexagonal shape, and has thick reddish skin and around 600 seeds. Each seed has a surrounding water-laden pulp — the aril — ranging in color from white to deep red or purple. Pomegranates are drought-tolerant, and can be grown in dry areas with either a Mediterranean winter rainfall climate or in summer rainfall climates. In wetter areas, they are prone to root decay from fungal diseases. They are tolerant of moderate frost, down to about −10°C (14°F). The name "pomegranate" derives from Latin pomum ("apple") and granatus ("seeded"). This has influenced the common name for pomegranate in many languages.

Embers are the glowing, hot coals made of greatly heated wood, coal or other carbon-based material that remain after, or sometimes precede a fire. Embers can glow very hot, sometimes as hot as the fire which created them. They radiate a substantial amount of heat long after the fire has been extinguished, and if not taken care of properly can rekindle a fire that is thought to be completely extinguished and can pose a fire hazard. In order to avoid the danger of accidentally spreading a fire, many campers pour cold water on the embers or cover them in dirt. They are often used for cooking, such as in charcoal barbecues. This is because embers radiate a more constant form of heat, as opposed to an open fire which is constantly changing along with the heat it radiates. An ember is usually formed when a fire has only partially burnt a piece of fuel, and there is still usable chemical energy in that piece of fuel. Often this happens because the usable chemical energy is so deep into the center that air does not reach it, therefore not causing combustion. The reason that it continues to stay hot and does not lose its thermal energy quickly is because combustion is still happening at a miniature scale. The small yellow, orange and red lights often seen among the embers are actually combustion. There just is not enough combustion happening at one time to create a flame. By the time embers are completely 'burned through', almost all of it is pure carbon with loose physical bonds, which is why they crumble with the slightest touch. At that point they are normally called ashes. Embers play a large role in forest fires. Since embers are typically burnt leaves and thus small and light, they can be blown away by the wind. During a large fire, with the right wind conditions, embers can be blown far ahead of the fire front, starting spot fires hundreds of metres away. One of the initial stages of defending against a bushfire is dubbed the "ember attack", in which embers will bombard the house, starting small fires in wooden structures.

Height || 5ft Weight || /flits about too damn much to weigh D.O.B || 12.o9.1o Stage || Teen
Eyes || Charcoal black sclera, with glowing golden iris; shining with a smug arrogance. Hair || Pomegranate mauve, falling lightly around his face. Styled in a mid-length pageboy cut, flicking out softly at the ends. Skin || Dark brown, littered with very faint cracks. Markings || Glowing orange cracks shooting up his legs and wings, and down his ears, radiating hot red from the tips. One small orange dot on each cheek, and blackened hands. Wings || Brown, matching his skin. Tail || Dark brown like the rest of his body, tipped with a fluffy mauve plume of fur. Other || A red beaded necklace, bracelet and anklet. He also seems to be wearing some sort of pants, however it's uncertain what exactly they're made of. They appear to be pomegranate fruit skins, but is that..possible?
Likes || WOMEN: Kohle can be a huge pervert, but is usually rather smooth about it. Intense flavours, especially very hot and spicy food, and very sweet food. Give him curry and candy and he's happy. Also loves incredibly fruity and alcoholic drinks. The beach. Has a particular fascination and fondness for some ancient civilizations, namely, Aztec, Mayan, and the (not-quite-as-ancient) Hawaiian cultures. He is especially interested in their temples, ruins and statues. Has a fondness for island life, (volcanos?), and easy-living. Dislikes || Cold, damp, dark, things, of almost any nature. Bland or soggy food, anything dull or tasteless. Will empty entire shakers of sugar, salt or pepper (preferably paprika) over anything he deems "too bland". Touchy-feely guys, children, people who are more cocky then he is; competition for the ladies.
