[13:40] kaidaryuu: Nyx loved her cubs....but the moments away from them were very, very appreciated. It was odd, watching after little ones who knew far more than you. Even Duo and Shini had been bearable. But her own cubs...The crimson-eyed lioness groaned and laid flat, covering her head with her paws, glad the grasses were high. High enough to keep her hidden if anyone came looking for her.

"Thank gods for Shu and Duo and Usiku. I'd go nuts without them."
[13:43] Nova Strike: Treize found teachingb Arden to hunt outside a swamp highly entertaining. For one, she was more likely to mnove as if weighted by mud. Two, her instincts were very lacking. Thje male chuckled at sdhe jumped on what she thought weas a Zebra on the ground, nails digging in.

"WHEE!"
[13:49] kaidaryuu: Nyx yelped and moved to remove the 'threat'. The weight wasn't a familiar one, nor was the voice. "Holy s**t! What the HELL are you thinking?!" What the hell?! She glared at the adolescent who had pounced her, white ears laid back and hackles raised. Oh. The newbies Duo and Shini had brought with them.
[13:52] Nova Strike: Arden panicked, ears pinning back and she dropped in fear, eyes wide. TGreize rushed over and moved to protect, growling.
[13:52] Nova Strike: "We THOUGHT you were a Zerbra, my lady." The last part was forced. He was protective, and Arden shook.
[13:53] Nova Strike: "I'm sorrty!@ I'm sorryyy! Please don't curse me!"
[13:56] kaidaryuu: Nyx forced herself to calm down. And was utterly confused. "Uh...I couldn't curse you even if I wanted to. And..." She frowned and looked herself over. "I suppose my coloring could throw one off, but I don't have stripes." She sighed. "Sorry...I don't normally snap like that. I've just been stressed lately."
[13:58] Nova Strike: "Stressed?" Treize chuckled. "So have we. And Arden doesn't know how to hunt outside of a swamp, so..."

"I grew up in a swamp. It smelled. Nice."
[14:05] kaidaryuu: Nyx nodded. "I've been trying to keep up with three cubs who...are a bit more of a handful than normal." She sat up, shaking herself. "Well...I can show you a better place to practice. I used it when I was learning to hunt."
[14:07] Nova Strike: "It would be appreciated. Neither of us erver had cubs." Treize chuckled. Arden rolled her eyes, following the lioness. "Try distracting them with shiny?"
[14:14] kaidaryuu: Nyx made her way to her old practice area, glad when the scent of an antelope herd reached her nose. "Just be warned that they are a handful." She looked to Arden and sighed. "I wish. Only reason I can get away now and again is because of my family. I'm Nyx, by the way."
[14:15] Nova Strike: "My name is Arden. Arden Yuy."
[14:15] Nova Strike: Treize bowed.
[14:16] Nova Strike: "Duke Treize Khgushrenada. Family is not always the best company."
[14:19] kaidaryuu: Nyx nodded. "Yeah...I know that well. But even though they drive me nuts, I like my family. We're an odd bunch, but pretty tight-knit. You've actually met two of my many siblings." She smiled back at them, stopping.
[14:22] Nova Strike: "Your too sane to be related to Shinigami or Duo." Treize snorted. Arden sweatdropped.

"Treize, sometimes, your a prissypants."
[14:26] kaidaryuu: Nyx laughed. "Well, I am. They're my youngest siblings." She frowned. "Rascals they are. My daughter seems rather attached to Duo, though. I don't mind entirely, since she seems to behave for him." She grinned at Arden. "You think he's a prissypants? You should meet the pride's other Commander, Dovev."
[14:27] Nova Strike: "Trust me. Treize is very formal." Arden laughed. Treize coughed, trying to look majestic.

"Hardly. I just want y6ou to bne safe and happy, Arden."
[14:31] kaidaryuu: Nyx facepawed. "Yup. Sounds like Dovev." She smiled. "Nice that you're worried 'bout her though. You guys mates?"
[14:32] Nova Strike: "It's... NMote safe for her if we were." Treize said softly.
[14:32] Nova Strike: "But we'd like to be." Arden moved, rubbing Treize hgently. The male smiled, grooming her ear affectionately.
[14:34] kaidaryuu: Nyx raised a brow. "Then why don't you? If you're worried about the opinions of others, they can go screw themselves, excuse my bluntness. Love isn't something dictated by others. It happens, and you roll with it."
[14:36] Nova Strike: "Because many would kill her for what she is if we did. She would be a colonist... Even as Governess, they'd believe her too low for me, despite outside blood. There are... Those whom believe in purity of blood."

Arden looked to Treize, cuddling into him. She wanted to be with him. The fact he'd leave her, mated for now or not, made her sad. Incredibly so.
[14:42] kaidaryuu: Nyx blinked, then frowned. "Idiots. People like that tick me off." She huffed. "Well...this is the place where I used to practice. I hope it serves you well." She was going to go find HER mate. He could always lift her mood.
[14:43] Nova Strike: "Thank you. Do you want to hunt too?" Arden smiled at Nyx warmly, smiling. Treize chucvkled. She was the kind one, well... Kinder.
[14:46] kaidaryuu: Nyx shook her head. "Nah. I'm not hungry. I'll see you guys around. You might even get to meet the biggest source of my stress and understand just why shinies don't work on her."
[14:46] Nova Strike: ((Nope, I may only need one on him.))
[14:47] Nova Strike: "That would be interesting." Treize chuckled. Arden smiled.
[14:47] Nova Strike: "It would be fun! I'd love to!" Arden beamed.
[14:49] kaidaryuu: Nyx nodded, smiling slightly. "You say that now." And she loped off. Geez...the world outside the pride was a very confusing, strange one. She hoped they found a little peace, like what the pride had.
