The air was starting to become a lot 'dryer' as the moved well away from the gates and closer to Cloud. At the point of no return now, Mi followed a small distance behind Lord Satoshi, watching their surroundings carefully. It was not wise to seem too tense nor was it wise to be too relaxed. If there were people watching them body signs were a dead give away. Anything that might put the Mizukage in danger was not to be had. Mi was sure that Satoshi could handle himself very well but it was still not the point. As they continued to climb higher up toward Cloud, Mi felt the slight burning in her lungs that accounted for the difference in elevations. Her detached expression remained however, despite her discomfort. Training had taught her that much. "If you begin to feel a little unwell sir please do not hesitate to let me know."Mi said aloud, her meek voice barely carrying over the noise of the nature that surrounded them.

Mi and Satoshi were steadily traveling on their path. Over time, the mist that had been so abundant with moisture had cleared away and cool, empty air took it's place. Although Cloud sat in a country alike Water, the environment was distinguishably different. The trees that surrounded the road were of a different species and had a pleasant scent. Pine Satoshi thought as he eyed the tall trees around him through his straw hat. The road had risen in elevation but Sato had only noticed when he looked back go the road. Satoshi knew that Cloud was set high in the mountains and it was only logical that they begin to rise as well. Over time, the air began to thin. Less and less oxygen was available and one had to take deeper breaths. Controlled breathing was a major part of his breathing, integrated in every action a shinobi took in battle. Adapting to a low oxygen environment required focus but only a short while before getting used to it. Almost as if Mi had read his mind, she asked him to let her know if he felt ill. Sato smiled inside his hat. Mi was an ideal vassal and that pleased him. She knew how to do her job and was skilled in doing so. Satoshi smiled at the question for he knew and she knew that he was in the peak of his life. "I will do so, Mi." Satoshi let out, still a smile on his face.

Silence fell between the both of them once again. Even though silence often induced a moment of awkwardness, Mi didn't feel it. It was comfortable. She stared at Satoshi's back, getting slightly distracted. It felt a little nostalgic, like when she had first met him. Lost and following after his lumbering figure. It was a little odd to think that he had been her Sensei for however brief a period of time it had been and was now the active Mizukage. Once again she was trailing after him, her mind up in the air. Shaking her head slightly, she tried to focus, her attention divided between both sides of the path they walked along. Her pale hand settled close to her hip, inches away from the pouch that was within reach should she need to draw for it.

"I can see the gates ahead." Satoshi said. The two had been walking up the increasingly elevating road. They had not been far from the coast in the beginning but now, they had travelled up so high that only mountains rose up around them. Ahead, was the hidden entrance of Cloud. With that in sight, Satoshi moved a bit more hastily driven by enthusiasm. It was so clear although clouds surrounded the area and continued to concentrate, the village could be seen seen set against the mountains, like vines around rock.

Looking up ahead at the path, Mi took notice as well that the gates were in plain sight. She nodded, acknowledging what he said and went back to looking around at their surroundings. She was finally coming back after having left her squad behind. She mildly wondered what they were up to at that moment. Hopefully not getting into trouble.

[ooc: Erm, you post first at the gates. XD I am kinda brain dead for my gloomy girl at the moment ]

++++ A dark hooded figure shot forth towards the gray sky. With an ample amount of light, silhouetted, the figure seemed like a crow, though, in reality, it was only a mere boy - a Genin, coming from the Village Hidden in the Mist. Flipping forwards, he would soon begin to fall and then land on the ground. His feet touched the cold ground of the Hidden Cloud. He was already here, and Kami made it. The gates were just ahead. Pushing off, he would continue to run, and make it towards the gate. At last, he had reached his destination. Though, the mission was, as of now, only beginning.

++++ Passing through here for the second time around, Kami did not find it difficult to find the way home, and thus, returning to the Hidden Mist Village was not that big of a challenge as before. The young dark-blue haired genin leaped from rock to rock, and from tree to tree, as he moved away from the Hidden Cloud, and moved onwards to the Water Country. Technically, the mission in the Hidden Cloud was through, but he had left Kuro there. He thought that it was a good idea, since he would not want to persuade the other Genin to come back. Perhaps, Kuro would be able to do more there - unlike him, who was basically weaker, and younger and who would just be a speck in the way of those who could actually do something. His mind passed through that thought, and with frustration, the young boy bit down on his lower lip...

"I need to grow even stronger," he said with conviction.

Kaito had just left the Mizukage's office, and was set up with two more missions. Lately Kaito had been stacked with mission upon mission. And they were all boring missions. But this was no surprise with what rank the boy was. Right now, he was just glad to be kept busy. Also, doing these missions would help him move to Chuunin hopefully soon.

This mission was something different than he had been asked to do before. An escort mission. His mission was to escort a traveling merchant to the Cloud village. This was just safety precautions in case a bandit or someone came along to try and rob the man.

Meeting him at the gate, Kaito smiled. "Hello, I'm Kaito." With a happy voice. The small merchant nodded to Kaito, saying no words. He looked to be an awkward little guy who didn't speak much, and he was just that. The man seemed nervous to even speak with Kaito. "Well, lets get going." And with that, they were off to the village.

The village wasn't an awful trek, only about three hours. Which was better than a few of the places he had traveled the passed few days. It had been about two and a half hours since they had left, but the village was now in sight, and that was always nice to see.

Kaito smiled as they reached the villages gate, they had finally made it. "Well we are here. And with no problems either, it was an easy ride!" The little awkward man had a half smile, and nodded to Kaito once more, and took his carriage into the village. The Genin just scratched his head, watching as the man just carried on through the village.

Satoshi stepped away from the wilderness of the country that surrounded the Cloud village. It had been diffixult to fing direction but Sato had managed to spot the road that ran out from Kumogakure and out toward the south. He had left his cloak behind and decided that he would bathe once he reached Kirigakure. Before planning his time for leisure, Sato tried to imagine how much work and tasks were pending in his office. Satoshi had been gone from his village for far too long and he feared that it had become unorganized. Sato looked over his shoulder to make sure that his Genin were following him back. He was unsure of what they had learned so far and was reluctant to ask them. The Chunnin he had assigned to them had been absent and perhaps neglectful. Sato promised himself to look after each Genin himself until they rose to a sufficient standing.

xxxxxx Nijiro Hatake was silent as she quickly walked after her Kage, long legs moving in quick strides, her high heels clicking on the stone but near silent in the soft dirt as the lack of surface on the base of her shoes diminished the amount of sound produced, as apposed to flat shoes. Her smoking pipe was being held in her mouth, the sharp blade of the mouthpiece held by her thin lips, resting up against the top row of teeth.

❝...❞ Nijiro's grey eyes were gazing at her surroundings through the corners of her vision, arms swinging lazily with each stride. Her posture was slouched slightly, showing her to be appearing disinterested or even bored. Her hands twitched slightly, her mind occupied slightly as she mentally ran over the new techniques her... half brother - that was a little odd to say - had taught her.

Don't think. Breathe.

Breath left Kumogakure, reflecting on the experience. He regretted not being more involved. He could have met more of the ninja in Kumogakure, and possibly learned more. He shrugged, and shifted his bag on his shoulder. He had his staff collapsed onto the back, keeping his hands free, but putting more strain on his torso.

Breath was anxious to fight with something. He made sure to keep it in check, knowing that this wasn't a healthy desire, spiritually. But it wasn't necessarily bad. He had learned new abilities, and was anxious to master them. He questioned himself, if he was okay with who he had become since he left his village.

Satoshi led his shinobi down the road back to the village of Kirigakure. He moved swiftly, every step aiding a glide. Sato could feel his body wearing and his eyes becoming heavy. He showed no sign of this weakness except for the swinging steps he took. Left and right he moved as he walked down the dirt road. He didn't say anything to his ninja, knowing that their visit in Kumogakure had been unsupervised. Following that, they had been left behind on an unofficial order. Satoshi decided not to make anything more of it and only to move ahead. As the land's elevation dropped, the trees with long reaching trunks had been left behind and the familiar foliage of the southeast was visible again. It was not long before they reached the great bridge that connected the mainland to the islands of the Water country as well as their Mist. (Exit)

Jin's suffering seemed to go on forever, listening to this man whose life he should be guarding, but instead he was thinking of ways to end it. But he resisted, "All life is precious" as his fellow monks would say from time to time, though he wondered what could be so precious about this drunken, irresponsible, rude, glutton. Who constantly badmouthed Jin and his beloved village with every step. "Were almost there, were almost there, were almost there..."Jin continued to mutter to himself, silent enough that the merchant would not hear...though the merchant couldn't possibly hear anything since his loud mouth constantly insulted the young monk, and any small animal quickly escaped as soon as the sound of the merchant's booming voice reached their ears.

Now already halfway to the village, Jin and the merchant made good time on their trip. The silence between them didn't change though, no matter how many times Jin tried to talk to him. He didn't stop trying to break the ice though, he would try his best to make a new friend.
