Bukijutsu! The special usage of one's physical form in combination with all sorts of weapons!
Much like Taijutsu, Bukijutsu require hard work and dedication in order to master. They revolve around the manipulation of one's body along with their blade, and as a result of the combination, are known as some of the deadliest techniques amongst the world.

Below is a listing of Bukijutsu styles you are able to learn within our fine guild, Shinobi Nations!
Just remember that your main and sub-class dictate how many Bukijutsu styles you are able to learn, so go check to see what that number is!

___S t a g e s
Unlike Ninjutsu and Genjutsu, Bukijutsu techniques are separated by [ Stages ].
Simply put: a Stage is a limitation placed on one or more techniques to prevent someone from learning high-end Bukijutsu before the lower ones.
Those who wish to learn a Bukijutsu Style start at the very first stage (stage one) and proceed by learning all techniques within that set stage.
After doing so, they are able to move up to the next stage, which- as one would think -contains stronger techniques to learn.

• Genin cannot go above [ Stage Four ] in any one Style.
• Chuunin cannot go above [ Stage Five ] in any one Style.
• There should always be no more, and no less, than six stages in a single style.

___V a r i a t i o n s
Bukijutsu techniques come in three variations: simple, complex, and spiritual.
This is the Bukijutsu and Taijutsu Equivalent of counterbalancing (相殺, Sōsai)
___• Simple: Bukijutsu techniques that require Stamina to perform. Considered universally weaker than Complex and Spiritual techniques of the same rank.
• Simple Techniques are treated as [1-Rank] Weaker when against Complex Techniques.
• Simple Techniques are treated as [2-Rank] Weaker when against Spiritual or Ninjutsu Techniques.
___• Complex: Bukijutsu techniques that require Stamina and Chakra.
• Complex Techniques are treated as [1-Rank] Stronger when against Simple Techniques.
• All Complex Techniques are treated as [1-Rank] Weaker in collisions with Spiritual Techniques]
___• Spiritual: Bukijutsu techniques that require only Chakra to perform.
• Spiritual Techniques are treated as [1-Rank] Stronger when against Complex Techniques.
• Spiritual Techniques are treated as [2-Rank] Stronger when against Simple Techniques.
• All Ninjutsu is treated as [Spiritual] for the purpose of interactions.

___X - r a n k T e c h n i q u e s
• X-Rank techniques, unless otherwise stated (or are Eisijutsu or Fuuinjutsu), only require training posts of that base rank. Use of that technique at higher ranks does not require it to be learned as that rank.

___D e s c r i p t i v e R a n k s
Descriptive ranks are small bonuses given out by Taijutsu and Bukijutsu Styles to either strength, speed, reflex, or fortitude. Most of the time they only provide a boost for roleplaying purposes, but having a multiple of six in any one aspect does provide a mechanical boost. More information can be found here.

___T y p e s:
Aside from Simple and Complex, some Styles have other types which have particular effects and learning guides. More commonly, these additional types will be explained in the style itself, however there are a few that may not:
Practice techniques are learned as if Simple techniques of the same rank.
Training techniques are learned as if Complex techniques of the same rank.
• Once a Practice or Training technique has been learned, it becomes a passive bonus for the practitioner.

Additionally, there is a section in each Style labeled Relevant Training, which showcases how the Style relates to the Formless Styles. A Style with relevant training in Hard Physical and Greatswords would be a Style using greatswords that prioritizes power. If the user has trained any of the relevant Formless Styles, they gain a one post learning reduction toward techniques up to the learned rank of the Formless Style, for each such Formless Style. (E-Rank only receives reductions if the practitioner has learned a higher rank of Formless Style.)

Hagane no Shunkan
Moment of Steel
User Image

___Description:
___The Hagane no Shunkan style uses blades of all sizes to mold the flow of battle to the user’s will. This style is a modern adaptation of traditional weaponry practices, taking the facets from the traditional styles themselves and applying them to more recent situations. As such many of the moves can be executed with a variety of bladed weapons. The techniques can also be used with blunted and training versions of bladed weapons, but the techniques in the style lose the majority of their piercing and slicing power.
___The Instant of Steel style originated in a peninsula to the northeast of the Water Country and drifted slowly toward the Western lands and their Hidden Villages. Many of the practitioners gained fame through formal sparring tournaments, and as such the name of the style has yet to gain the fame that some others have; only those who actively watch or participate frequently in contests know of the practitioners and their abilities. Unfortunately, the style is hard to adapt in earlier stages for use in sudden battles, and is mostly used in duels. However, it is incredibly useful in almost any battle once higher levels are mastered, as the basic techniques become much stronger and faster.
___Relevant Training: Any bladed weapon.

___Notes:
• Practitioners of this Style gain twice the normal amount of post reductions for relevant training when learning this Style with small or medium bladed weapons.
• Gains a slight increase to speed with every mastered stage for a total of a supreme increase upon mastery.

___S t a g e O n e [ E ]
Basic Stab
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: A thrust with the blade of the weapon. In addition to mildly increasing the strength of the blow, this allows the blade to be retrieved more swiftly. This strike is treated as complex when interacting with Formless techniques.

Linear Step
Rank: E :: Simple
Description: A single step or series of steps forward, meant to add a great deal of strength to offensive techniques. Though it happens much faster than the typical eye can track, it only covers a distance of a single step. Can be executed in a straight line forward or backward. Though slower than Shunshin, this movement is still difficult to track visually for those of a lower body rank than the user’s own, and gains a slight increase to speed per the user's body rank.

Reinforcement
Rank: X :: Spiritual
Description: By coating the blade with a thin layer of Chakra, the user can reinforce it to withstand physical attacks for up to four of the user’s posts, regardless of its composition. Confers a slight boost to fortitude per rank to defensive techniques while active.

Standing Stance
Rank: E :: Simple :: Stance
Description: A stance that looks casual to the untrained eye, appearing as though the user is simply standing casually, albeit with a straightened back to improve circulation. Increases the Strength, Speed, Reflex, and/or Fortitude of any technique used immediately after a bladed weapon has been drawn, but otherwise does nothing. Upkeep of this technique’s rank is paid every post that its benefit is gained.

___S t a g e T w o [ D ]
Deflection
Rank: X :: Spiritual
Description: Coats the user’s blade in a cushion of Chakra, leaving the edge exposed. Incoming attacks parried with the side of the blade will float without touching the blade. Can defend against two techniques up to the rank of the deflection, and will disappear after the first two techniques deflected regardless of their rank.

Forward Grind
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: After blocking an incoming attack or after the opponent’s block, the user grinds his or her blade across the blocked weapon toward the opponent. This movement closes the distance between the user and the opponent very quickly while forcing the target’s weapon to remain still. A stabbing or thrusting technique used in conjunction with this technique is moderately increased in strength.

Pivot Block
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: The user pivots on one leg and parries an incoming attack, setting them up for a highly effective counterattack. The strength of any Bukijutsu technique used during the pivot is increased slightly per rank.

Stance of Concentration
Rank: X :: Simple :: Stance
Description: The user straightens their back, slides one foot behind the other, and raises their blade so that its tip rests on the line between the user’s eyes and the opponent’s. Raises the limit for Speed descriptive increases slightly per rank. Upkeep of this technique’s rank is paid every 2 posts and whenever the user changes which enemy they are engaging with, paying multiple times per post if necessary.

___S t a g e T h r e e [ C ]
Calligraphy
Rank: C :: Simple
Description: Heavily increases the speed of all attacks with the held weapon for one full post. However, to compensate for this increased speed, the strength of all attacks is mildly reduced.

Extension
Rank: C :: Spiritual
Description: By channeling Chakra into the blade, the user can extend its reach by up to one quarter of the blade’s length. Lasts for three of the user’s posts. During this time, all simple techniques with the bladed weapon are treated as complex when interacting with other techniques.

Solid Footing
Rank: C :: Complex
Description: The user anchors themselves with Chakra and becomes incredibly difficult to throw off of their footing. While on solid ground, the user gains a moderate increase to strength for all Bukijutsu techniques for three posts, and any stance-disrupting techniques lose any descriptive increases.

Twin Blade
Rank: C :: Spiritual
Description: The user sharpens the air around the blade similar to the Extension technique, but does not affix the Chakra form as firmly to the physical blade. The Chakra blade is as sturdy as the base blade and follows its path, but for three posts, the user is able to control how long after the initial strike the second one will hit, up to a delay of one second. The Chakra blade is not affected by any enhancements of the original blade.

Thread Walking
Rank: C :: Training
Description: By using Chakra to focus the mind, the user becomes able to balance enough on thin platforms to use Bukijutsu techniques without any penalties. Covers only balancing on solid structures at least one inch wide, not moving or unstable structures. Also allows the user to balance and move on wires during its activation.

___S t a g e F o u r [ B ]
Advance of Steel
Rank: B :: Simple
Description: Hones the user’s mind and muscles, moderately increasing technique speed and strength for three posts. Does not consume an action if the user only uses Bukijutsu in the activation post.

Brush Stroke
Rank: B :: Spiritual
Description: By focusing on the concept of the strike, the user is able to greatly increase the speed and strength of any strike with the blade currently in hand. A Formless Style or other simple attack with the blade in hand while this is active is treated as a complex technique one rank higher. Lasts for four posts.

Disarming
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: The user responds to an opponent’s Bukijutsu technique by disarming the opponent. The disarm must be feasible and the rank of the disarm attempt must be higher than the last Bukijutsu technique used by the opponent. Cost is E-Rank if the opponent has not used any Bukijutsu in the current battle.

Hydra Strike
Rank: B :: Spiritual
Description: An enhancement of Twin Blade. Instead of only one additional strike, the user can now launch several in a row without any loss in speed or strength. B-Rank affords a total of three strikes, with one more afforded if used in conjunction with a Formless technique C-Rank or higher, per rank above D. If used in conjunction with an S-Rank Formless technique, the total number of strikes is seven.

Illusory Double
Rank: B :: Complex
Description: A close range attack, the user goes for a direct stab at the opponent. By pulling the blade slightly back immediately afterward, the user can then strike another nearby point very shortly after the first strike. This technique is fast enough that those who are of the same body rank as the user or lower cannot see the second strike. The speed of the strike is faster than Shunshin, without suffering any loss in strength. For no extra cost, any Bukijutsu technique used immediately afterward greatly increases in speed, but moderately decreases in strength as the user's muscles relax to a normal speed again.

Swordslinger
Rank: B :: Simple
Description: The rapid switching between blades is known as “Swordslinging”, with masters of this particular art being called “Swordslingers”. By infusing the limbs with Chakra, the user becomes able to switch between weapons instantaneously, including storing the starting one and drawing the new one, regardless of weapon size. If the drawn weapon is bladed, the user can make use one additional Bukijutsu technique with it up to D-Rank without consuming another activation, up to two times per post.

Stance of the Quickdraw
Rank: X :: Simple :: Stance
Description: The user assumes a low stance, their legs spread far apart and their torso hunched over. Their hands are usually found either resting on the handles of their blade(s) or free at their side. Increases the Speed of techniques used during or immediately after drawing a blade slightly per rank, and increases the Strength of techniques used during or immediately before sheathing a blade slightly per rank. Upkeep of this technique’s rank is paid every post.

___S t a g e F i v e [ A ]
Advanced Thread Walking
Rank: A :: Training
Description: The user is now able to both run and fight while balancing on threads and wires without penalties, though doing these things at the same time is widely regarded as infeasible.

Crescent Block
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: A circular block meant to serve as an all-purpose defensive technique. By catching the incoming attack and carrying it in a circular path on the blade edge, the user gains a great amount of control over the opposing weapon, enough to be able to drive it in to the ground or to easily disarm the opponent without the need for extra techniques or movements. Gains a slight fortitude bonus per rank against physical attacks.

Defense of Steel
Rank: A :: Spiritual
Description: By charging the held weapon with Chakra, the user gains the ability to treat all opposing complex physical techniques as simple for three posts.

Hilt Thrust
Rank: X :: Complex
Description: Rather than striking the enemy with the edge of the weapon, the user strikes with the blunt end, typically the hilt of the weapon if used with swords. This strike can break through armor and will break bones and send a target flying if unarmored.

Shearing
Rank: A :: Complex
Description: The user, because of the large amount of training he or she has completed, can now operate blades with such speed and ease that the air begins to shear along the edges of the weapons when they are used, extending their range by almost a foot on all bladed sides. This effect lasts for four of the user’s posts.

___S t a g e S i x [ S ]
Moment of Steel
Rank: S :: Complex
Description: A change to the physical state that heavily increases the speed of all blade techniques and greatly improves the user’s reflexes. This state lasts for five of the user’s posts.

Movement of Steel
Rank: S :: Simple
Description: An unbelievably quick movement technique that has a speed that totally eclipses that of the Body Flicker Technique, with the same range. However, it is difficult to control and can only be used in one direction at a time. This technique creates an after-image where the user had been standing. Consumes no uses of the Body Flicker Technique for the battle.

Offense of Steel
Rank: X :: Complex
Description: From the ready position, the user swings their blade at a given target, sending out a wave of energy that slices anything it hits in the way that the blade would. The technique starts out with a range of 2 meters, but increases by another 2 meters for every rank above E-Rank. Affects all blade techniques for three of the user’s posts.

Vorpal Blade
Rank: S :: Spiritual
Description: A technique that forces the user’s blade to act as if it were twice as sharp as it actually is. This makes it easy to carve through armor even without the use of techniques that do so, and those techniques become potent enough to slice through heavy armors. Armors are treated as one rank lower against the user’s techniques, or two ranks lower against the user’s armor-piercing techniques. Lasts for five of the user's posts.

Bolting Stance
Rank: X :: Simple :: Stance
Description: The user lowers their center of gravity and leans forward, keeping their weapon in line with their rear leg. Raises the limit for Speed descriptive increases mildly per rank when wielding a blade. Upkeep of this technique’s rank is paid every post.

Sobagai Deba Sentou
Close quarters knife combat
User Image

___Description:
___The Sobagai Deba Sentou is a close combat countering weapon / body style. Utilizing reaction time and handling. Using only a simple combat knife and precision, practitioners can swiftly counter weapon and body techniques from various framed opponents. This bukijutsu style is typically used as a secondary style, usually when the practitioner's main weapon is knocked away or destroyed; or their other attempts at combat prove fruitless.
___Relevant Training: Any small bladed weapons (knives, daggers, etc.).

___Notes:
• Grants a Slight Increase to reflex for every other stage mastered starting at the first stage. Additionally, gives a slight increase to speed for every other stage mastered starting at two. (Reflex is granted at stages 1/3/5. Speed is granted at stages 2/4/6.)

___S t a g e O n e [ E ]
Countering Technique: Upward Repel
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: When the enemy attack closes in, the user will repel with the knife with an upward slashing motion. This upward repel may have enough exerting force to startle or offset the enemy. Gains a slight increase to speed per rank.

Offensive Technique: Assisted Jab
Rank: X :: Complex
Description: Channeling chakra into the wielding hand, the user will stab with the hilt of his blade. The end result is a powerful blunt jab that can wind the target if it connects correctly. If used at or above the target's body rank, this technique causes them to lose an action on their next post. This effect does not stack with similar effects.

Agile Stance: Bodyguard
Rank: X :: Simple :: Stance
Description: The user raises up ever so slightly onto the balls of their feet and draws their arms in, keeping their weapon(s) pointed toward the enemy and ready to intercept any attacks. Increases the limit for Reflex descriptive increases slightly per rank when using small weapons. Defensive techniques employing small arms are counted as complex while in this stance. Upkeep of this technique’s rank is paid every post.

Offensive Style: Knife Stances
Rank: E :: Training
Description: The user becomes more accustomed to upward, downward, and sideways slashing motions. Speed of all Bukijutsu employing small arms is mildly increased.

Offensive Style: Simple Play
Rank: E :: Training
Description: With this training, the user is able to more comfortably switch between upward, downward, and sideways slashing motions in a pinch. The user's reflexes are mildly increased.

___S t a g e T w o [ D ]
Countering Technique: Back Repel
Rank: D :: Simple
Description: A hasty knife repel mainly used to confuse the enemy. After an attack has been parried upward, the user will throw his knife upward, meanwhile spinning around the enemy's side to get into position to catch the knife as it falls. Confers a mild strength boost to any attack that follows it.

Trick Technique: Change of Hands
Rank: D :: Simple
Description: During any freestyle form of vertical or horizontal slashes, the user will perform a simple pass, switching their knife from one hand to the other. Consecutive usage can result in a massive amount of confusion and inescapable slashing barrages. Confers a mild speed boost to the user during the post it is used. The first usage of this technique per post does not consume an activation.

Trick Technique: Kneecap Surprise
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: The user will begin by performing a simple combination of horizontal slashes, often ending in [ Change of Hands ]. At any point during this chain of cuts, the user will steady their movement and, rather than continue with their previous slashes, flip and toss the knife into the opponent's leg. Confers a mild decrease to the target's speed per rank for two posts if it hits.

Offensive Technique: Swift Dart
Rank: X :: Complex
Description: Channeling chakra to his hand, then the knife, the user tosses his blade at a decently increased speed, while the chakra causes it to pierce the air, making almost no noise. Is considered completely silent to those without increased hearing abilities, and gains a slight increase to speed per rank.

Trick Style: Knife Toss
Rank: D :: Training
Description: The practitioner has developed a greater sense of precision and is now able to throw, juggle, and catch their knives by the hilt with ease. Confers a slight reflex bonus to the practitioner.

Offensive Style: Artless Draw
Rank: D :: Training
Description: The practitioner has better developed their ability to pull their blade straight from its resting place to an offensive slash. Slightly increases the speed of strikes made when drawing a small weapon.

___S t a g e T h r e e [ C ]
Trick Technique: Knife Punt
Rank: C :: Simple
Description: A very tricky yet powerful attack that can often end a fight on the spot. After dropping an enemy's defenses, often by parrying one of their attacks, the user will drop his knife. As the knife drops, the practitioner will time a kick in order to punt the knife upward- back into the opponent's exposed body. If successful, the knife will typically end up somewhere in the enemy's head. Gains a moderate strength increase if used immediately after striking an opponent's defensive technique.

Trick Technique: Dirty Reflection
Rank: C :: Simple
Description: Given proper conditions, the user will angle their knife so as to reflect sunlight into the enemy's eyes. Negates any bonuses to reflexes the target may have for one post.

Offensive Technique: Vital Poke
Rank: C :: Complex
Description: The user builds up chakra in a freehand, then surges it to the finger tips of the same hand, causing a very thin and short ranged aura to form. From here, the user will attempt to poke the target in the stomach, chest, upper arm, or upper leg. If connection is properly made, the opponent will feel as though they have just been internally stabbed. Although contact at the stomach or chest causes more damage, a solid stab to the arm or leg can cripple the opponent's usage of said limb. While this is active, the finger tips are treated as the tip of a bladed weapon.

Agile Stance: Skirmisher
Rank: X :: Simple :: Stance
Description: The user raises onto the balls of their feet and holds one hand in front of them at chest-height with the other beside them at waist-height. It does not matter which hand holds the user’s weapon. If the user loses their weapon either from a successful disarm attempt or willingly tossing it aside, they gain a slight boost to Speed per rank for the rest of the post (does not stack with itself). Additionally, the limit for Speed descriptive increases is increased slightly per rank. Upkeep of this technique’s rank is paid every post, but is reduced by 5 Stamina per rank if the user starts and ends the post with a small weapon in hand.

Offensive Style: Two-fer-One
Rank: C :: Training
Description: The practitioner is now accustomed to performing techniques they have mastered with either one or two knives. Once per post, the user may use a single D-Rank or lower technique from this Style without paying the cost.

___S t a g e F o u r [ B ]
Piercing Technique: What Defense?
Rank: B :: Simple
Description: While assaulting a blocking enemy, the user will attempt to reach out and grasp their arm. If successful, the user will then pull in the enemy's arm, while kicking outward with incredible force. Because of the contradiction of motions, this can easily break arms or disarm the target. Gains a moderate boost to strength against unarmored targets.

Disrupting Technique: Tingling Elbow
Rank: B :: Complex
Description: After breaking through an opponent's defense, typically via a parry, the user will deliver a powerful chakra-enhanced elbow strike to their head or sternum. As the elbow makes contact with the target, the built-up chakra will be dispersed all at once, rushing to certain muscles to momentarily disrupt them. For a short amount of time, the opponent will then be unable to move their limbs, no matter what signals the brain gives to them. The opponent loses one action at the beginning of their next post. This effect does not stack with other, similar effects.

Trick Style: Retreating Feet
Rank: B :: Training
Description: The practitioner, already acquainted with many techniques in the style, has finally realized that with a little bit of personal training, they are able to increase the precision and speed at which they lift and press their feet. The practitioner's footsteps are rendered silent to all who do not have enhanced hearing, and the footsteps they leave in soft ground are shallow. This not only assists their ability to sneak up on people faster and quieter, but also helps when running from trackers.

Trick Style: Blade’s Edge
Rank: B :: Training
Description: The practitioner has developed an even greater sense of precision and is now able to throw, juggle, and catch their knives by the tip with ease. Additionally, some projectiles, such as shuriken or kunai, can be caught by their tip. Confers a slight increase to the user's reflexes.

___S t a g e F i v e [ A ]
Countering Technique: Oopsie and Over
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: As an enemy attempts to deliver a straightforward attack, the user will grab the enemy's arm and twist. Then, making use of their superior footwork and agility, the user will leap overhead while still holding the arm, causing severe pain, broken bones, or popped sockets. Counts as a technique a rank higher for determining pain inflicted.

Disrupting Technique: Severe Acupuncture
Rank: X :: Complex
Description: The user forms a powerful chakra aura around a knife, causing it to become lost in a haze, no longer appearing as an object, merely an indistinct shape in the user's hand. From here, the user will attempt to deliver a powerful hilt slam to one of the target's limbs. If contact is made with an arm or leg, it will cause said limb to go limp until treated by a medic. However, if contact is made with the head, it will send a powerful surge throughout the body that renders the target immobile for one post per rank.

Offensive Style: Stepless
Rank: A :: Training
Description: The practitioner has become so used to performing quick and silent steps that they scarcely realize that they themselves are moving. The user's speed and reflexes are mildly boosted.

___S t a g e S i x [ S ]
Offensive Technique: Shoulder Height
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: The user will attempt to position themselves atop their enemy's shoulders, legs wrapped around the neck. From here, the user will simply attempt to twist their legs, snapping the neck; or if they're feeling gory, stab into the enemy's trapped head. Confers a moderate strength boost per rank to any techniques used with the knife while on the opponent. Cannot be escaped via Substitution Jutsu by those with a body rank lower than this technique's rank.

Offensive Technique: Cutting and Crumbling
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: A quick technique in which the user draws their knife close to their wrist, then closes the distance with their target and attempts to deliver two powerful blows to the enemy's sides.

Disrupting Technique: False Signals
Rank: S :: Complex
Description: The user channels chakra into their knife causing it blur out just as in [ Severe Acupuncture ] before attempting to stab deep into the target's upper torso. As the knife digs into the enemy's chest, the chakra stored within it leaks throughout, tampering with pathways both physical and spiritual. So long as the knife remains in the enemy, all signals sent to the body are disrupted and sent to different places: a command to move the legs may result in a twitch of the nose, a request to clutch the fist could result in straight kick, and a jump could be the usage of an elemental technique, who knows? Even after the knife has been removed, the disruption lasts for two posts, or four posts if the user is of the Medical Class.

Offensive Stance: Rogue
Rank: X :: Simple :: Stance
Description: The user holds their weapon near their collar on the opposite side of their body from the hand that wields it and leans forward. The limit for Speed descriptive increases is increased slightly per rank above C-Rank. The user’s attacks with small weapons are treated as spiritual against targets that both do not know a physical Style and are not of either the Taijutsu or Bukijutsu class. Upkeep of this technique’s rank is paid every post.

Defensive Style: Plucking Roses
Rank: S :: Training
Description: The practitioner is so well developed in their art that they are now able to snatch shuriken, kunai, senbon, and other such projectiles straight from the air. This requires the user expend Stamina equivalent to one rank below the rank of the incoming projectile.

Offensive Style: Mistborn Stepping
Rank: S :: Training
Description: Silent, swift, and sharp. The practitioner is able to creep about at a decent pace while making close to zero noise. While moving through an area where cover or some obscuring factor is present (buildings, people, fog, etc.), the practitioner gains a moderate bonus to speed and reflex.

Shigure Souen
A legacy of greatness and evolution.

User Image
___Description:
___This technique originated with one man, and like a family tree, it grew. As the technique was passed down, the more the tree grew. It is common for a generation to add a new form to the Shigure Souen. This is a sword style that varies, depending on who your master was. Thus, there could be many different variations of the Shigure Souen Style.
___The Shigure Souen Style is a notoriously deadly sword style that is only passed down to worthy successors. Each 'form' of the style is only shown once to the student - if the student is worthy to succeed, he only needs to see it once to remember how to use it from then on. It originally only had one form that was passed down through generations of successors with each successor creating and adding their own forms resulting in many branches of Shigure Souen Style. However, as new forms were created, the weaker branches deteriorate, and others disappear as there is no worthy successor; hence, this style can be called the perfect, flawless style.

Description: The practitioner musters all their might, and with a hard kick leaps high overhead. The user will then dive back down with their massive weapon ready to pierce through or crush their target. Treated as complex against unarmed and/or unarmored opponents.

Bakuyaku Ugoki [ Explosive Movement ]
Rank: B :: Complex
Description: A technique developed by shinobi in order to remove the weight burden of their weapon for a brief moment. By placing a hefty amount of chakra to their lower half, the user fortifies and strengthens their muscles; no longer will it feel as though they are lugging around a weapon that could easily be the same weight as they are. However, because of its mechanics, this technique is not meant to be used for long durations. The strengthening of the muscles allows the user to make a quick dash or leap in order to close great distances, nothing more. Allows the user to travel up to 50 meters at the speed of Shunshin. Has a cooldown of one post.

Hayai Ugoki [ Swift Movement ]
Rank: X :: Complex
Description: An alteration of [ Bakuyaku Ugoki ]. The practitioner applies the same method of chakra reinforcement, but rather than allow it to fade out in a single burst, they further mold the chakra in order to hold it in place. For a short amount of time, the user will able to move around as if they were completely free of their weapon and/or armor's weight burden. Lasts 1 post per rank.

Nobi Ken [ Stretching Blade ]
Rank: B :: Complex
Description: As if the length of the practitioner's giant weapon wasn't long enough; this technique was developed to further increase the reach of such weapons. By pressing chakra to their pommel, the user manifests a skin over their weapon. This skin will stretch around the entire weapon granting an additional five or six inches of length in addition to added chakra damage.
At any point during the duration of this technique, the user is able to cast off the chakra skin like a projectile slash. Lasts [4] posts. The chakra wave has a range of four meters.

___S t a g e F i v e [ A ]
Kazetetsu [ Iron Wind ]
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: It may seem trivial, but the accurate flinging of a massive weapon is actually a difficult thing to master. Though, with enough training such a feat can be achieved, and the practitioner will be able to toss their weapon with incredible precision and force. Allows the user to execute an offensive technique from this Style by throwing their weapon. Must be used at the rank of the technique it is paired with.

Danzetsu no Konki [ Break Off Of Energy ]
Rank: X :: Complex
Description: By infusing chakra in their weapon, the user will create a skin of their respective chakra color which wraps around and reinforces in its entirety. With this modified blade, the user is able to cut through one projectile ninjutsu. Can only be used twice per battle.

Danzetsu Hei [ Break Off Wall ]
Rank: X :: Complex
Description: Mimicking [ Danzetsu no Konki ], the user will wrap a skin around their weapon. However, rather than attempt to slice through an incoming attack, they will slam their weapon to the ground, creating a breaking point for the oncoming technique. Can only be used twice per battle.

Jitsuryoku [ True Strength ]
Rank: X :: Simple :: Stance
Description: The user stands straight with their weapon lowered and possibly resting on the ground depending on its size relative to them. This is mainly an energy-saving tactic that allows the user to put everything they have into their strikes without growing tired. Increases the limit for Strength descriptive increases mildly per rank. Upkeep of this technique’s rank is paid every post.

___S t a g e S i x [ S ]
Oufuu [ Cross Wind ]
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: The practitioner swings their weapon in an odd twisting pattern, and at such an alarming speed that it disturbs the air around it; sending out a wide burst of wind to peel enemies from their sturdy footing. The cut in air's continuity also reduces or utterly breaks attacks that depend on the air to be in solid form.

Tetsu Jiten [ Iron Spin ]
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: While keeping their center of gravity low, the user performs a chain of horizontal swings while on their heels. This continual motion results in the user resembling a massive and mobile spinning top of death. It should be noted that after excessive usage (3-5 posts), the user will be dizzied nearly as long as they were performing the attack.

Tetsu Kawase [ Iron Exchange ]
Rank: X :: Complex
Description: When faced with a projectile ninjutsu attack, the user will slam their blade into the ground. Feeding it a quick burst of chakra, the user causes the weapon to "catch" the incoming attack. With a quick kick to the still lodged weapon, the user is able to launch the caught technique to their desired target.

Oni no Nigiri [ Ogre's Grip ]
Rank: S :: Training
Description: Through their rigorous endeavors with their mighty weapon, the practitioner has developed powerful and toned arm muscles. Because of this impressive development, the user needs only a single hand to wield their massive weapon. When wielding it with two hands, techniques from this Style that consume an extra activation when used above the user's body rank do not do so.

Tetsu no Ryu
The heart and steel of a true samurai
User Image

___Description:
___Meaning "Iron Dragon," Tetsu no Ryu is an ancient form of swordsmanship closely tied with Feudal warplay.
___Born from the Land of Iron are the feared samurai who live there; training countless days and nights to develop a form of swordplay that mirrored their own ferocity. This style has it roots deepened in tradition, discipline, and hard work. It is geared for war, not stealth, and its vast amount of straightforward attacks are self-evident of this. Many of its techniques shine during duels, though they can be applicable most anywhere. Those who practice Tetsu no Ryu are bound to follow the code of Bushido.
___The virtues of a Bushi are: Rectitude (義, gi) ○ Courage (勇, yuu) ○ Benevolence (仁, jin) ○ Respect (礼, rei) ○ Honesty (誠, makoto) ○ Honor (誉, yo) ○ Loyalty (忠, chuu)
___Relevant Training: Any medium bladed weapons (katana, longsword, etc.).

___Notes:
• Students of this style are honor bound to follow the tenets of Bushido ( listed above. )
• If a student of this style breaks the tenets of Bushido while actively utilizing this style, their attacks will lack conviction. ( Every attack hits as if it were one rank lower, and complex attacks consume [25] additional chakra. This does not count against your other styles/abilities. )
• Grants a Slight Increase to speed for every other stage mastered starting at the first stage. Additionally, gives a slight increase to reflex for every other stage mastered starting at two. (Speed is granted at stages 1/3/5. Reflex is granted at stages 2/4/6.)

___S t a g e O n e [ E ]
Iaidō
Rank: E :: Simple
Description: With a single unhindered and swift motion, a true samurai can unsheathe his weapon and strike at the exact same time. This can provide an elegant, yet effective way to catch your opponent off guard, or as a means to interrupt handsigns. Note that this ability only shows true effectiveness upon the drawing of a weapon from its sheathe. Losing some of its element of surprise after being used once and then resheathed. ( This attack's rank mimics whatever stage of Tetsu no Ryu you are in. For example, if you are in Stage 5, this technique is considered rank A. )

A Decade of Peace
Rank: E :: Simple
Description: A Decade of Peace is at its core a defensive technique, envisioned in the mind that a true master of the sword need not use his prowess to find peace. This technique allows the user to find, through concentration, the point of their enemy’s own attack, diverting it with a quick stab of their blade below their weapon or limbs, then utilizing the flat of the blade diverts the attack overhead, while their free palm presses against the opponents chest, shoving them away, before sheathing your own blade in the gap provided. This technique can be easily paired with a number of jutsu to escape battle, or as bait to enrage your opponent.

Ryūtsuisen [ Dragon Hammer Strike ]
Rank: E :: Simple
Description: The "Dragon Hammer" is a sword-drop technique delivered from above, targeting the crown of the head or the shoulder of the adversary. The key to the technique lays in the momentum gained from the user’s jump and the free-fall, which is applied to the sword to multiply the force of the sword-stroke.

Chuudan no Kamae [ Mid-Level Stance ]
Rank: X :: Simple :: Stance
Description: The user grips their blade with two hands, pointing its tip at the opponent’s chest. The user’s feet are placed about shoulder-width apart with knees bent, the dominant foot forward. Increases the limit for Strength and Fortitude descriptive increases slightly per rank. Upkeep of this technique’s rank is paid every post.

___S t a g e T w o [ D ]
Ryūtsuisen: Zan [ Dragon Hammer Strike: Tragedy ]
Rank: D :: Simple
Description: A brutal variation of the origin, Zan utilizes a sword impalement or plant, rather than a cross body strike. While this vastly increases the lethality of the move on a general basis it does allow for non-lethal takedowns without using the blunt end of the weapon, as a skilled practitioner can target a specific limb or location to assault.

Turning Swallow Cut
Rank: D :: Complex
Description: Utilizing chakra to stimulate the nervous system, this cut is reputedly so quick and precise that it can strike down a bird in mid-flight. It is a downward strike the flicked back up into an upward strike, both strong enough to effortlessly slice through even the hardest wood.

Chakra Scabbard
Rank: D :: Complex
Description: After mastering two techniques, Iaido and any one other, a student is capable of awakening the true signature of the Tetsu no Ryu. A Samurai's blade becomes rife with pure chakra that crackles and dances around the blade. A blade properly focused is quite capable of cutting through even the thickest steel.
• Active until battle ends or turned off.
• Increases to Rank C after learning [ Form Manipulation. ]
• Increases to Rank B after learning [ Two As One. ]
• Chakra cost DOES increase as rank increases.

Twin Dragon Strike
Rank: D :: Simple
Description: Utilizing Iaido, the student of Tetsu no Ryu then follows up with a strike from his scabbard, utilizing the whole of his weapon, instead of just a single piece. This technique is generally utilized to catch an opponent unaware if they dodge the first stroke of the bladed weapon.

Twin Dragon Strike: Lightning
Rank: D :: Simple
Description: This technique does not rely on the utilization of Iaido, as it first strikes with the scabbard of the weapon, using the shock effect of being attacked with an improvised weapon, or the opening that follows an opponent’s dodge to follow the initial strike up with the actual bladed weapon.

Gedan no Kamae [ Lower-Level Stance ]
Rank: X :: Simple :: Stance
Description: With the same foot arrangement as in Chuudan no Kamae, the user lowers their blade so it points at the opponent’s dominant foot, presenting a false appearance of being off their guard. While in this stance, the user can pay the Chakra cost of any complex techniques with Stamina. If entered from another stance in this Style, it retains that stance’s bonuses for 1 post. Upkeep of this technique’s rank is paid every post.

___S t a g e T h r e e [ C ]
Form Manipulation
Rank: C :: Complex
Description: Truly skilled practitioners learn to shape the chakra around their weapon into different shapes. From a lance to a broadsword, anything is possible. However, while anything may be possible some forms will of course be difficult to maintain, requiring extra chakra expenditure. For every dimensional five feet after the first, the jutsu will require an extra ten [10] chakra.
• Lasts [10] posts

Pressure Wave
Rank: C :: Complex
Description: When swinging your weapon, you can create a crescent shaped chakra wave, five feet wide by one foot long, that can travel up to about 100ft before dissipating. A hit from it can be as strong or possibly even stronger than a normal blow. Unfortunately- it leaves your katana without a chakra scabbard and you must activate it again.
• Max distance: 100ft.
• Cannot be reused for a minimum of five [5] posts until Stage Three is mastered.
• Can be reused in three [3] posts at Stage Four.
• Can be reused in two [2] posts at Stage Five+.

Drying Pole
Rank: C :: Complex
Description: The user extends the tip of their blade with chakra as they thrust. Like a beam of energy, the strike can stretch several extra feet.
• Max distance: 8ft.

Joudan no Kamae [ Upper-Level Stance ]
Rank: X :: Simple :: Stance
Description: The user raises their blade overhead and stands with their feet slightly more than shoulder-width apart, the non-dominant foot forward. The limit for Strength and attacking Speed descriptive increases is increased slightly per rank. Upkeep of this technique’s rank is paid every post.

___S t a g e F o u r [ B ]
Hachiware [ Helmet Breaker ]
Rank: B :: Complex
Description: This overhead blow is designed to go THROUGH a person, horse, and armor, all in one blow, by utilizing one’s chakra to actively sharpen the blade of your weapon. However, this fine point chakra manipulation creates crevices in the blade of your weapon, effectively making it useless after the fact, as any parrying blow would cause the rigid workings of the blade to crack entirely.
• This technique breaks most normal weapons.
• This technique can be blocked by an equal level bukijutsu or broken by Kai.
• This technique can only ‘kill’ if the opponent is willing, otherwise it merely wounds/incapacitates if not blocked.

Two As One
Rank: B :: Complex
Description: You are actually able to make two blows at once. A normal sword blow and a chakra saber blow. This second blow is almost impossible to see coming, but can be blocked by a chakra force of the same rank as it disrupts the chakra scabbard’s free movement.

___S t a g e F i v e [ A ]
Many as One
Rank: A :: Complex
Description: A complex pattern of blows converge on the target. You may make five [5] blows with the chakra sabers and one with your real sword. All the attacks are real, and they can all pierce your opponent's sword if they are foolish enough to normally block you!

Divine Scabbard
Rank: A :: Complex
Description: In place of your chakra scabbard you are able to substitute pure chakra for whatever element you have an affinity for.
• Same notes as [ Chakra Scabbard. ]

Iaigiri [ Iai Beheading ]
Rank: A :: Complex
Description: Adhering to the principles of Iaidō, the user performs a quick and powerful slash with their sword in order to cut the intended target, before immediately resheathing the blade afterwards. However, unlike the predecessor, Hachiware, the utilization of Iaidō and the resheathing of the weapon gives a better focal point for the flow of chakra, thus preventing the brittleness caused in the blade.

___S t a g e S i x [ S ]
Kamikaze [ Divine Wind ]
Rank: S+ :: Spiritual
Description: By utilizing a Divine Scabbard as a base, the user prepares (2 posts) additional elemental chakra before performing a powerful stab. This combination of chakra and motion forces a powerful "beam" to be released from the sword. The immediate release of the beam causes a good amount of recoil to the user, often forcing them to a knee. The beam itself has impressive distance, often dispersed only out of sight, or when contact is made with an incredible chakra based defense. The impact of the beam is so devastating that it is often referred to simply as an "undeniable death sentence." Additionally, because the beam is formed of such specific combinations of chakra, it can easily pierce most anything, and prevents the usage of "escape" techniques (substitution and body flicker.)
• Does not receive learning reductions.
• Consumes one [ Divine Scabbard. ]
• Can only be used once per battle.
• Requires two [2] posts of preparation. ( Can move, but cannot be interrupted. )
• User receives crippling recoil without additional training.

Serene Absorption
Rank: S :: Training
Description: After mastering and being victim to one's own Kamikaze recoil, the practitioner will begin to develop a method to prevent such return damage. Manipulating their stance and force impact, the user attempts to divert such force by pressing and moving chakra into the ground. This is a rather difficult task to accomplish as it is not simply the act of moving chakra from one part of the body to another, but completely pressing it out of the body without having destructive results. Because of this odd requirement, it is recommended that multiple sessions be completed before one is considered having "mastered" this method.
• Does not receive learning reductions.
• Must use Kamikaze at least three [3] times before beginning this training.
• Requires two separate sessions of ten [10] posts to learn. ( At least two day's break between sessions. )
• Almost completely reduces recoil of [ Kamikaze. ]

The blade hidden in the night
User Image

___Description:
___Before the nations filled with shinobi, before the feudal lords reigned, before anyone knew what lurked in the shadows, there were the original ninja. Reliant on their stealth, skill, and sword, these ninja knew not the exact workings of their vast chakra networks, but they knew very well how to complete their missions.
___More than just assassins, the ninja of old committed acts of espionage, sabotage, and infiltration. They developed methods to break through or sneak passed obstacles or opponents in order to achieve their main goal. Nothing could stand in the way of a true ninja.
These methods were at one point in time chronicled so that future generations would be able to learn their techniques. Although dwindled by time, the list below shows what those passed ninja were capable of.
___Relevant Training: Smoke bombs.

___Notes:
• The smoke that comes from the smoke pellets is badly affected by wind.
• The smoke that comes from the smoke pellets can be any color.
• While in a smoke cloud, Shinobi who have not trained with smoke are denied reflex bonuses.
• Gains a slight increase to reflex with every mastered stage for a total of a supreme increase upon mastery.

___S t a g e O n e [ E ]
Tabi Koutai [ Tabi Shift ]
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: An extremely simple yet vital technique in any ninja’s arsenal. Mastery of this action allows the user to move up to half a meter per rank across the ground at Shunshin speed. Does not consume an activation of Shunshin, but can only be used once per post.

Tebukuro Uchiage [ Glove Launch ]
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: Another extremely simple yet vital technique for any ninja. Mastery of this action allows the user to flick or throw small objects and fine particulate matter with extreme accuracy and speed, up to two meters away per rank. When used with smoke bombs, the user can pay 5 Chakra per bomb to have it detonate at any point in its flight the user desires. The number of bombs affected by the Chakra cost increases by one for every stage mastered above this one.

Kosei no Kamae [ Fog Creating Stance ]
Rank: X :: Simple :: Stance
Description: The user raises their non-dominant hand to head-height, keeping their palm open and pointed toward an enemy. Their dominant hand is kept closed near their stomach. Increases the limit for Reflex descriptive increases mildly per rank. Upkeep of this technique’s rank is paid every post.

___S t a g e T w o [ D ]
Endan no Jutsu [ Smoke Bomb Technique ]
Rank: D :: Simple
Description: One of the major staples of [ Juurai Toorima ]. The user will begin by drawing a smoke pellet from his person. He will then bring the pellet to his hand, typically between the fingers, and then slam it against a solid surface. The pellet will burst into a decent sized smokescreen, during which the ninja will attack or retreat. Provides the user with a mild boost to speed and reflexes while in the cloud.

Aseru [ To Fade ]
Rank: D :: Complex
Description: The user will bring a smoke pellet to each hand, twirl them to an easily thrown position, and then slam the two against the surface beneath them. As the smokescreen rises, they will perform a hand sign, sending a quick surge of chakra throughout their body. In almost an instant, the user will escape any dangerous situation. To simplify, this is like a substitution jutsu that requires a smokescreen rather than an object to change positions with. Can only be used three times per battle. If the user is already in a smoky area, this technique does not require the use of smoke bombs.

___S t a g e T h r e e [ C ]
Kemuri no Shikaku [ Sight through Smoke ]
Rank: C :: Training
Description: The practitioner grows accustomed to the way smoke flows around them and others. The practitioner's vision is no longer adversely affected by their smoke bombs.

Insen [ Hidden Line ]
Rank: C :: Simple
Description: The user will attach a very, very thin wire to a projectile or small object, and toss said projectile as if it were a normal tool. However, they will likely intentionally miss, most likely causing the opponent to scoff or laugh. At any moment during the projectile’s flight, the user will give a light tug on the wire, causing its trajectory to change.

Juu Kousen no Hitojichi [ Hostage of Ten Steel Wires ]
Rank: C :: Complex
Description: The user will throw both of his hands forward, tossing out a net of razor steel wires roughly the same width as the user’s body. The user will pump chakra into the wires in order to cause them to wrap around and tie those within the net’s reach. Has a max range of 20 meters.

Takoage no Waza [ Art of Kite Flying ]
Rank: C :: Complex
Description: The user will draw a special piece of fabric from their person, placing it between their index and middle fingers. With an infusion of chakra, the fabric will grow in size, becoming the height and width of the original user. After doing so, the user will then grab onto each corner with his hands and feet, outstretching the cloth. Regardless of the user’s weight, this cloth can be used to glide over massive gaps and escape Earthy effects. It should be noted that if the user has Fuuton [ Wind ] elemental chakra, they are able to fly freely using this cloth for three posts. The user can trail smoke bombs behind themselves while using this technique to create a wide blanket of smoke in the sky.

___S t a g e F o u r [ B ]
Biransei Endan no Jutsu [ Poisonous Smoke Bomb Technique ]
Rank: B :: Simple
Description: A different, far more lethal variety of smoke pellet. These smoke pellets release a thick purple cloud that causes various bodily effects if one is to inhale it for long consecutive periods. Can be used with any hazardous material the user has access to. Used to create hazardous bombs during battle, provided the proper materials are present; after creation, any hard impact is enough to detonate these hastily constructed bombs.

Funkei no Jutsu [ Decapitation Technique ]
Rank: B :: Simple
Description: The user will begin by blurring his current position in any way possible, be it by the use of his smoke pellets, or manipulation of the terrain. He will then follow up by tossing multiple smoke pellets at his opponent in order to disorient them. After this, the user will seemingly disappear, abusing their physical potential to get behind their target. From this position, the user will draw his weapon, and attempt to deliver the final blow. Reduces the target's reflexes greatly.

Zanzou no Jutsu [ Afterimage Technique ]
Rank: B :: Complex
Description: The user places one or more smoke bombs of any type inside a clone. When the clone bursts, the smoke bomb(s) trigger, flooding the area with smoke. The clone does not have to be the user's, but the user must be able to make contact with it to activate this technique. This technique does not consume an activation when used while creating clones, and effects up to four clones at once. Does not have any effect when used on illusory clones. Affected clones do not look any different when viewed with Doujutsu.

Gisou no Waza [ Art of Camouflage ]
Rank: X :: Complex
Description: The user will begin by drawing a trio of smoke pellets from his person, and tossing them against the ground. As the smokescreen rises, the user performs a string of handsigns and allows his chakra to lie dormant. The user will then fade away, his chakra signature and his entire being seemingly gone in a poof of smoke. For two posts, the user is undetectable to sensory techniques and visual detection (including Doujutsu) by Shinobi up to this technique's rank while inside the smoke cloud.

___S t a g e F i v e [ A ]
Yogiri no Gufuu [ Tornado of the Night Fog ]
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: The user will release black smoke bombs to surround his position, blurring his starting point. He will then rotate wildly on a single foot, causing the black smokescreen to circle around him in a whirlwind pattern. While wrapped in the twisting smoke and wind, the user will attempt to ram a target, hitting them with their body and any weapons they may have protruding from them. Supremely increases the speed of one physical technique up to its rank.

Izumi Hanshoku Meimu [ Fountain Multiply Illusion ]
Rank: A :: Complex
Description: The user holds a single handsign, generating focus points all over his body. After doing so, the user is capable of emitting up to six projections of himself from these focus points at any given time. These images are capable of mimicking one non-offensive action from the user, such as dodging or jumping, making them appear to be much more physical than they are. It should also be noted that these images can phase through solid objects. Each image lasts for four posts. Images can be used as vessels for the Afterimage Technique, despite not being physical; however, smoke bombs hidden in the images burst immediately should anything knock them out of their image.

Kakuremi no Kamae [ Camouflaged Stance ]
Rank: X :: Simple :: Stance
Description: The user bends their knees, brings their dominant hand behind their back, and holds their non-dominant hand to their chest. This stance provides an ideal position to both evade and deploy hidden weaponry and is specifically used to catch an enemy off-guard. Increases the limit for Reflex descriptive increases slightly per rank. Decreases any opponents’ boosts to Reflexes slightly per rank when attack with hidden weaponry. All weaponry is considered hidden if the opponent can’t see it until the moment before an attack. Upkeep of this technique’s rank is paid every post.

___S t a g e S i x [ S ]
Ken kara Ken [ Blade After Blade ]
Rank: S :: Complex
Description: The user takes his weapon from its holster, holds it close to him, focuses his mind, and then performs a chain of long, yet linked slashes and stabs. In other words, this is a technique that causes the user to enter a free style combination mode, allowing him to execute perfectly connected attack after attack after attack. If an enemy somehow manages to consistently block the user's attacks, the match will typically then be determined by whoever runs out of stamina or makes the first mistake. Moderately increases the speed of all Formless Techniques for three posts, and allows an extra activation if at least two Formless Techniques have been used in a post.

Mokuhi [ Keep Silent ]
Rank: S :: Training
Description: The ninja has come to realize the fruits of his efforts. His training has finally paid off, and whether he realizes it or not, his footsteps no longer make noise, no matter what surface he walks on. However, running still makes a very, very light patter. Obtained automatically when all techniques are learned.

Honshi Art
Death from afar
User Image

___Description:
___For hundreds of years people have been using all sorts of weapons to gain the upper hand on their opponent, however, every generation one weapon seems to stick out like a sore thumb. At one point in history, the ability to attack an opponent from afar meant certain victory; the weapons that would perform this tasks would sometime later be known as projectiles.
It may seem simple, aim and toss, but the ability to use these methods while in combat, and with extreme precision is in fact extremely complicated.
___These projectile weapons would eventually be utilized by shinobi, modified with their own special abilities and unique contribution of chakra, making them ever more deadly.
___Relevant Training: Any light or medium thrown weapons.

___Notes:
• Grants a Slight Increase to speed for every other stage mastered starting at the first stage. Additionally, gives a slight increase to reflex for every other stage mastered starting at two. (Speed is granted at stages 1/3/5. Reflex is granted at stages 2/4/6.)

___S t a g e O n e [ E ]
Dart
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: Although it seems somewhat idiotic, this technique can prove useful in a pinch. The user will take their projectile, hold it in a different position than normal, and let it loose as though it were thrown with normal focus and aim. The opponent loses any Reflex boosts when defending against this attack.

Pair
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: The user will begin by placing two of their projectiles between their fingers, then wave their hand outward, releasing their grip on both, ultimately resulting in a trick shot with their normal focus and aim. Launches two projectiles simultaneously. The strength or speed of each projectile is slightly increased per rank.

Stance of Quicksilver
Rank: X :: Simple :: Stance
Description: The user draws projectiles with a flat hand, keeping the handles (if any) pointed forward so that the throwing hand can effortlessly grab them. Increases the limit for Speed descriptive increases mildly per rank. Upkeep of this technique’s rank is paid every post.

___S t a g e T w o [ D ]
Three of a Kind
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: The user will begin by placing three of their projectiles between their fingers, they will then swing their arm outward, releasing their grip on the weaponry. The result is a triple shot with the user's normal focus and aim. Launches three projectiles simultaneously. The strength or speed of two of the projectiles is slightly increased per rank.

Twin Aces
Rank: X :: Complex
Description: The user will begin by placing two of their projectiles between their fingers, followed by a quick insertion of chakra to their hand. They will then wave out their hand, releasing their grip on both projectiles, resulting in a trick shot with their normal focus and aim. Both projectiles gain a slight boost to speed per rank. Medium projectile weapons instead gain a slight boost to strength per rank.

Calling Cord
Rank: X :: Spiritual
Description: Very similar to the shinobi method of puppet control, this technique is performed by attaching lines of chakra to up to five projectiles and then releasing and retracting them. However, unlike the puppet strings, these lines of chakra can be cut, and are not very maneuverable. Allows for the basic control of up to one projectile per rank, starting at D-Rank. The strings can be broken by any Chakra-infused attack. Lasts for three posts.

___S t a g e T h r e e [ C ]
Trick Full House
Rank: X :: Complex
Description: The user will begin by placing four of their projectiles between their fingers and a single in their grip. They will coat their hand with chakra, and then place it to their forehead as they gather focus. At the users discretion, the projectiles will be flung with increased focus and aim, upon impact with any surface, all five projectiles will erupt causing a one meter diameter burst and moderate damage. Gains a slight boost to strength per rank. The target is denied any reflex boosts to avoid the burst.

Retracting Line
Rank: C :: Training
Description: An addition to the technique Calling Cord. By forcing an additional surge of chakra into the strings wrapped around the projectiles, the user is able to briefly control the length, and movement of the strings. Thus, allowing for a much more diverse angle of attacking or retracting. Automatically applied after learning.

___S t a g e F o u r [ B ]
Manipulating Line
Rank: B :: Training
Description: An addition to the technique Calling Cord. By laying a good amount of additional chakra into the strings wrapped around the projectiles, the user is able to fully control the length, direction, and movement of the strings. Thus, allowing for incredibly diverse attacks from all angles. Automatically applied after learning.

Hidden Stash
Rank: B :: Spiritual
Description: A special technique favored by shinobi who often use their weaponry in barrage formations. After bringing out a small scroll, the user will perform the needed handsigns, then press one hand against the open paper. The user's hand will seep through the paper as if it were water, then retract with the desired amount of projectiles. Because the user must continue to reach into the scroll, this technique is typically only used when they are completely out of ammunition. Each scroll contains only 20 kunai, 25 shuriken, and 30 senbon. The projectiles are made of Chakra and disappear three posts after they leave the user's control.

Scroll Projection
Rank: B :: Complex
Description: A rather useful technique that can only be performed after releasing the effects of Hidden Stash. The user will turn the scroll so that the draw point is facing their target, they will then press their palm against the back of the paper and surge chakra through their flattened hand. As the chakra moves through their hand, the user will cause the projectile contents of the scroll to fly out in the aimed direction.

___S t a g e F i v e [ A ]
Bent Arsenal
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: The user will begin by drawing the desired amount of projectiles into their hand. They will then skillfully toss each projectile, one-by-one, at their target. However, there is a twist... a literal one! Each projectile is flung in such a way that they will arch at a certain point, causing most Shinobi to evade right into the projectile's path. Each projectile is treated as a separate attack by defenders. The reflexes of any targeted Shinobi are treated as being slightly lower per rank.

Secret Stash
Rank: A :: Training
Description: An addition to the technique Hidden Stash. Instead of only being able to use one scroll per battle, the practitioner can now use three. Additionally, each post, the user can activate Calling Cord once upon removing weapons from the Hidden Stash.

___S t a g e S i x [ S ]
Explosive Arsenal
Rank: S :: Complex
Description: The user will begin by drawing a projectile into their hand and injecting it with a good amount of chakra. They will then fling the weapon at an incredible speed, the projectile itself leaving an afterimage trail. At any point during its travel, the user can snap, causing the enhanced projectile to explode. A five yard radial blast, dealing roughly the same damage as a B-Rank fireball Ninjutsu. Rather than costing 160 Chakra to perform, each projectile enhanced costs 30 Chakra.

Rank: X :: Simple :: Stance
Description: The user flattens their forward foot while raising the heel of their back foot. While in this stance, the user can apply a movement technique up to this technique’s rank to any technique employing a thrown weapon without consuming an extra activation. This benefit can only be gained twice per post. Upkeep of this technique’s rank is paid every post.

___S t a g e T w o [ D ]
The Second Akira: The Akira of Balance
Rank: D :: Simple :: Stance
Description: The user has a rough understanding of how to retain balance in most positions, but is still clumsy in awkward positions. The movements of this stance are based around sturdy yet soft footing with fan utilization. The user begins with hands at torso level and knees are slightly bent. Within this stance, the user finds their ability to maintain their footing increased. Stance-disrupting attacks lose all descriptive increases to Strength against the user. Soft Physical movements made to maintain footing are treated as spiritual when interacting with other techniques, allowing the user to shrug off hindrances and step through obstacles. Required to learn techniques in stage two. Requires eight posts to learn. Upkeep of this technique’s rank is paid every post.

The Second Akira: Dancer's Reprieve
Rank: X :: Simple

The Second Akira: Athlete's Breather
Rank: X :: Complex
Description: While the fans are atop one another (horizontal or vertical), and at torso level, the user will emit a very light blast of chakra by clapping both fans shut. This burst of chakra is non-elemental, and capable of pushing most shinobi a meter away. It can also deflect projectile Ninjutsu its rank or lower.

Shinobi's Slash
Rank: X :: Complex
Description: The user channels chakra through their hands into their fans before striking, or to send a wave style slash towards their opponent. Max range of 2 meters.

Nature's Burst
Rank: X :: Complex
Description: The user channels their elemental chakra into their fan to send a gale of wind with a simple back waving motion. The wind shares the element of your choosing, which could result in a searing wind, if fire, or a chilling wind, if water. Max range of 3 meters per the user's body rank.

Wall's Shadow
Rank: D :: Spiritual
Description: The user presses chakra into their feet in order to attach to a wall or ceiling. ___S t a g e T h r e e [ C ]
The Third Akira: The Akira of Elegance
Rank: C :: Simple :: Stance
Description: The user is now accustomed to strange positions, and is able to retain strength and grace even within the most pressing of situations. Quick and sturdy movements can be performed even when ducking or bent backwards. The user begins from a bent back position or almost fully ducking position. In this particular stance, the user focuses on increasing their natural reflexes, while furthering their natural flexibility. The limit for Reflex descriptive increases is increased slightly per the user’s Body Rank. Required to learn stage three techniques. Requires eight posts of training. Upkeep of this technique’s rank is paid every post.

The Third Akira: Gymnast's Whirl
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: From either a ducking position or bent back position, the user will slide back on their hands, performing a hand stand. From this position they lift one of their arms, and quickly extend the opposite leg, equaling the weight. Following this equalization, the user will spin, creating an area of danger for those foolish enough to approach. Treated as complex against unarmored opponents, but loses all descriptive bonuses against armored ones.

The Third Akira: Aeronaut's Rise
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: While recovering from a sliding or downed position, the user will lift themselves with either leg and use the momentum to force themselves either forward or backward into the air. With this boost of movement, they will beautifully spin, bringing both arms in full circular slashing motion, tearing flesh while they land. Gains a mild speed bonus per rank.

The Third Akira: Magician's Slip
Rank: C :: Complex
Description: The user will display the flexibility granted within the stance, slipping typically from a hand stand, to a position onto their forearms on the earth either in front of, or behind them (at this point, their spine happens to be arched), collecting chakra in the forearms, the user expels them in an outward force. Elegance
Rank: C :: Complex
Description: The user expands a blanket of chakra in a 2 yard radius, allowing them to ‘sense’ when they are going to be hit and allowing them to react accordingly. It is only because of their reflexes that this technique is so effective, giving the user the ability to bend or step to evade. Increases the user's reflexes by one rank for two posts or until they are attacked with Taijutsu or Bukijutsu. Must be used prior to the attack. Good only for one technique avoided. May only be used twice in a battle.

Twirling Deception
Rank: X :: Complex
Description: When attacked by a close range Taijutsu, the user will spinning sidestep the attack, bringing up one hand with a burst of wind to inflict cuts along the opponent's torso. Can be used in conjunction with a cutting Fuuton technique below its rank if one is known without consuming an extra activation.

___S t a g e F o u r [ B ]
The Fourth Akira: The Akira of Coordination
Rank: B :: Simple :: Stance
Description: Having understood Elegance, Speed, and Balance, the user moves on to learn the proper coordination behind the use of the fans. In this particular stance, the user assumes a rather simple stance, emphasis however on the seemingly loose grip. This stance tends to look different from one practitioner to another, the emphasis being upon a greater range of motion for their blades. The user practices in this stance to allow the natural grace wash over them by finding the stance most fitting for themselves. While in this stance, all simple and Formless techniques with the fans are treated as complex against unarmored opponents. Required to learn stage four techniques. Requires eight posts to learn. No reductions. Upkeep of this technique’s rank is paid every post.

The Fourth Akira: Logger's Twirl
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: The user will twirl their fan, open, upon a single finger, spinning it like a pin wheel. The bladed fan will likely be able to slice through flesh as if a rotary saw. Gains a mild boost to strength per rank against flesh and wood.

The Fourth Akira: Trickster's Point
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: Upon approaching the enemy, the user will begin to send their fans skyward, dancing with them. Making certain to make one appear more dangerous than the other, the user leaps forward and strikes out with a thrust, flaring the blade to bore into flesh. The target's reflexes are treated as one descriptive rank lower per rank when using this attack.

Graceful Return
Rank: B :: Complex
Description: The user will attach a light line of chakra to the handle of their fan before throwing them at an opponent, causing them to retract on the user’s whim. This technique can also be applied to the fans if they have been knocked out of the users hands. A very popular technique, as it can be tacked onto most techniques for a range increase. Max range 10 yards. Lasts 5 posts.

Reaper's Carousel
Rank: X :: Complex
Description: The user spins their fans as they do with the Logger's Twirl. However, while they perform the simple maneuver, the user pivots about three times, creating what appears to be a whirlwind, the blade glistening of chakra. Can cut through up to medium armor.

Harbinger's Carousel
Rank: X :: Complex
Description: The user spins both open fans against one of their wrists, after increasing their stamina and stability via chakra infusion, creating a seamless cutting tool. Can be maintained for up to three posts. Most techniques are unusable while performing this technique, but all techniques that involve spinning the fan are available and gain two descriptives ranks to strength per their rank.

Hermit's Secrets
Rank: B :: Complex
Description: The user whirls a fan with even more chakra into the fan blade, creating a whirling blade, much as performed earlier on. Instead of the ability to bore through stone and steel, the Hermit's Secrets allows the user to slice through kekkei genkai materials with ease. Can only be used twice per battle. Fan techniques used while this is active ignore durability bonuses in materials made with a bloodline. Lasts four posts.

Akira Secrets: First Akira's Deceit
Rank: B :: Complex
Description: At this point in time, the user is brought back to the first stance. While in the first stance, the user compresses chakra at certain joints in their body, and by sporadically expanding and compressing these "bubbles", the user will move at 1.5 times their usual speed. To those of their own rank or lower, it will appear as if the user isn't moving any more quickly. Any descriptive bonuses to the user's speed are increased by half. Costs ten chakra to maintain this skill each post. Lasts seven posts max.

___S t a g e F i v e [ A ]
The Fifth Akira: The Akira of Focus
Rank: A :: Simple :: Stance
Description: Having understood the art of speed, balance, elegance and coordination, the shinobi moves on to accuracy. Utilizing their focus, one must find the stance for one's self, much like they did with coordination. The only thing disclosed to practitioners is the movement is minimized in its emphasis, striking at specified locations in powerful strokes. Despite power pressed into each strike, the user practices on taking shots only deep enough to cause nonlethal bleeding. While in this particular stance, the user will let speed suffer, to take on a more predictive method, combined with more sporadic techniques. The limit for Speed descriptive increases decreases slightly per body rank. Increases the limit for Strength descriptive increases mildly, per the user's body rank. Required to learn techniques of stage five. Requires ten posts to learn. Upkeep of this technique’s rank is paid every post.

The Fifth Akira: Waning Crescent
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: The user shifts their weight, swinging while they step forward, the other arm mirroring the movement. Often used in a confined space, as it approaches walls near enough to make the enemy possibly believe the weapon will get stuck on something. If used in a confined area, the target is denied any descriptive speed bonuses when defending against this technique.

The Fifth Akira: Full Moon
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: From a dipping and spinning position, the user will shift forward, twisting around while weaving both arms through the air, both fans open. Each fan should come very close to hitting either the ceiling, walls or floor but never actually make contact with any of them. If used indoors, the target loses any descriptive strength bonuses when defending against this technique.

The Fifth Akira: Waxing Crescent
Rank: A :: Simple
Description: With a twisting, rotating, step, the user will flip both fans overhead, coming to a full rotation, they will then catch both fans by the flat tips of the blades. This is a simple evading step technique that can also dazzle the opponent.

The Fifth Akira: Darting Moon
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: The user will take their open fans by the flat tip of the blade and fling them like a disc at an incredible speed. Because of the great speed, the fans become more like rotating saw blades than anything else, able to cut through most common materials, aside from tempered metal and crystal. But, their power and speed is not their only benefit… because of the way these fans are tossed, they will return to the user even if they make full impact on the initial toss, operating like a boomerang. However, if the user is not very well versed in this technique, it can result in their own hand removal. Receives no learning reductions.

Peace
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: By focusing on one's inner turmoil, and quelling it, the practitioner opens up stores of chakra they never knew were there, granting them [15] chakra per post. Must remain stationary for this technique.

Akira Secrets: Second Akira's Reversal
Rank: A :: Complex
Description: Utilizing prior skills, the user makes use of their chakra to function on a strange parallel. Literally. Functioning as if it were a genjutsu, the user makes use of their chakra to settle its presence in the enemy's vision. For several minutes, the user's tactics will be reversed when looked up (the user swings with the left hand, it appears they are swinging with the right hand). Cannot be used or learned by those who cannot use Genjutsu.

___S t a g e Six [ S ]
The Sixth Akira: Finale
Rank: S :: Simple :: Stance
Description: Having come to full knowledge and understanding of the previous stances, the user has managed to gather the grace and beauty required to at long last flourish as a user of the Akira Arts. The practitioner brings together all five aspects of the Akira Arts, pushing further into the boundaries of the human body. Each practitioner finds a form which they find comfortable, yet stressing, strengthening their body in the most extreme fashions to bring their body's endurance and strength to a peak. Increases the limit for descriptive increases to any two stats slightly per the user’s body rank. Required to learn techniques in stage six. Requires fourteen posts of training. No reductions. All prior "Akira" techniques are usable after entering this stance. Upkeep of this technique’s rank is paid every post.

The Sixth Akira: Primary Flight
Rank: S :: Simple
Description: The user throws their fan with proficiency, not open for cutting, but closed to knock back whatever it is that is struck with this technique, it will bounce back from nearly any surface to the user. Knocks back those struck by it 5 meters. This is only possible due to the training the user has gone through, and cannot be copied by non-practitioners.

The Sixth Akira: Finishing Flight
Rank: S :: Complex
Description: Upon catching the fan in flight, the user whirls about once more. Focusing the chakra into the caught fan, it begins to glow in an eerie fashion, and is loosed again upon the enemy. This time, the blade is open, aiming to sever flesh from bone, and with the chakra bolstering the strength of the fan, it will embed itself in whatever it may strike. This technique will leave the user without a blade, which must then be retrieved.

The Sixth Akira: Whirling Flight
Rank: S :: Complex
Description: After catching hold of their blade in flight, the user will whirl about in a fashion similar to that of the Finishing Flight. In this case, during their spin, the user will kick off to become an omen of whirling demise. Upon landing, most often after the third spin, the blades will come down to tear deeply into flesh, leaving it open for infection. Wounds must be treated by a medical Shinobi or will become infected.

Tranquility
Rank: S :: Complex
Description: The practitioner focuses on the flow of chakra within their system, letting it flow unobstructed and unchained throughout their body. The raging flow of chakra washes away obstructions in their Tenketsu, and boosts the healing capabilities of the body. Mends damage dealt by up to one S rank technique. Capable of restoring use of chakra when blocked. May only be used once per battle.

Akira Secrets: Third Akira's Martyr
Rank: S :: Complex
Description: Using all the fighter has learned, the user makes use of their chakra in their joints, compressing and decompressing rapidly, influencing the rate in which their blood flows. As a result, their physical abilities rise rapidly, but in time it overwhelms them. Few realize the limits to come, their heart under pressure, even as their blood seems to find its way from their flesh, despite there being no wounds to speak of. Any bonuses to strength or speed from fan techniques are also granted to the other (i.e. A two descriptive rank bonus to speed becomes a bonus to speed and strength). Lasts six posts, before medical attention is required. May not be mended by the practice's own techniques. User bleeds significantly more if wounded.

Seven Sword Dance
Untouchable barrier of blades

User Image

___Description:
___The seven sword dance is hailed as one of the most difficult styles to master, however it rewards those who serve it with unpredictable movements, unique angles of attack, and a means to an end (whatever that may be for the individual). The user places seven swords on his or her body and uses them to attack in a seemingly erratic pattern that more closely resembles juggling than swordplay. Integrated with savage short range unarmed strikes, the style can attack from several angles at once making it rather hard to effectively block a master. The style utilizes a series of kata to ease the beginner into it, though those unable to keep up will soon find themselves injured.
___Relevant Training: Any light or medium bladed weapons.

___Notes:
• Requires a minimum of seven blades of light or medium weight, unless otherwise stated.
• Grants a Slight Increase to reflex for every other stage mastered starting at the first stage. Additionally, gives a slight increase to speed for every other stage mastered starting at two. (Reflex is granted at stages 1/3/5. Speed is granted at stages 2/4/6.)

Seven Swords Stance
Rank: X :: Simple :: Stance

The user grips all seven of their swords using whatever means are available to them, pointing each blade in a different direction than the last. The most typical arrangement is: one sword held in each elbow, one in an armpit, one at the crook of the neck, one in the mouth, one balanced atop one leg, and one gripped by the back of the knee. While in this stance, the user’s movements cannot be predicted by Doujutsu and sensory techniques up to this technique’s rank. When interacting with non-technique bloodline abilities that would normally allow that, use the bloodline user’s Body Rank. Upkeep of this technique’s rank is paid every post.

The Hook
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: While in the seven sword stance, the user simply spins defensively to clear the immediate area of attackers. Anyone stupid enough to stand in the short range of the blades will get a scar (or seven!) to remember! In addition to normal damage, knocks back those caught in the attack half a meter per rank.

___S t a g e T w o [ D ]

Description: Charging a blade with lightning chakra causes it to vibrate at super sonic speeds, allowing it to cut through even metal. Requires Raiton [ Lightning ] elemental chakra.

___S t a g e F o u r [ B ]
Lightning Rod
Rank: B :: Complex
Description: Tossing a highly charged sword high into the air will redirect even the most dangerous lightning techniques to strike it. (However, don't stand beneath/near it!) No effect on techniques above Rank B.

___S t a g e F i v e [ A ]
Infinite Sword Dance
Rank: A :: Simple
Description: Littering the area with swords the users can pick up any seven at a time, allowing him to discard and even pick up the discarded swords. Tossing swords as the user plows through the area tends to be the norm when using this technique. Requires 10 or more blades.

Butterfly Float
Rank: A :: Simple
Description: Nearing the mastery of your style you can attack with all of your seven blades at once continuously, leaving even the Sharingan unable to predict where you are attacking from. However, this technique requires intense focus. They say you need to be constantly be playing seven games of chess at once to effectively use this technique! Cannot be read by Doujutsu.

Thunder Dance
Rank: X :: Simple/Complex [ Learned as Complex ]
Description: An unpredictable array of continuous blows rain down on your opponent with charged sword. The Simple version is performed the same, but without elemental effects.

___S t a g e S i x [ S ]

Nunchaku Kata
Whipping and whirling barrage
User Image

___Description:
___The nunchaku is a traditional weapon of the Kobudo weapons set and consists of two sticks connected at their ends with a short chain or rope. Though not typically used in a ninja arsenal, the nunchaku have spurted up every now and then, proving themselves to be both quick and powerful. Unfortunately, the effective use of these weapons when fighting other ninja requires much training and dedication. Through brutal training and realization of hand movements, the user often finds himself faster after a long day’s training with this type of weapon.
___Relevant Training: Nunchaku.
___Notes:
• Grants a Slight Increase to speed for every other stage mastered starting at the first stage. Additionally, gives a slight increase to strength for every other stage mastered starting at two. (Speed is granted at stages 1/3/5. Strength is granted at stages 2/4/6.)

Future Beating
Rank: X :: Simple :: Stance
Description: The user bends at the knees and tucks their nunchaku into their armpit, gripping it loosely to take advantage of the leverage this angle grants without sacrificing speed. Raises the limit for Strength and Speed descriptive increases slightly per rank. Can be used with single or multiple nunchaku for no increase in cost. Upkeep of this technique’s rank is paid every post.

___S t a g e T w o [ D ]
Pound Rise
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: The user swings both nunchaku forward up, one after the other, as if a double uppercut, and catches each behind their back on the flip. Because of the force, it is likely the first strike will cause the opponent to be disoriented and led into the second. Counts as two separate attacks when interacting with defenses.

Ring Bop
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: The user takes a step forward, shifting the opposite foot backward, holding one nunchaku at its end. At any given moment during this stance, the user will quickly swing in a full circular motion, smacking with both of their weapons. Because of the speed, this technique is also capable of knocking certain projectiles from the air. Denies projectile weapons any descriptive bonuses.

___S t a g e T h r e e [ C ]
Breaking Combo
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: The user takes a step forward, holding one nunchaku by the end and the other near its center. They will proceed by continuing their forward stepping, spinning both nunchaku in rapid vertical circle motions. This combo can be maintained for as long as desired with appropriate stamina payment, with the final hit in the combo treated as complex.

Snake Shield
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: The user holds both nunchaku by their end, then proceeds by swinging them both around their torso, generating a hasty parry and bludgeon perimeter. Deflects light and medium projectiles and projectile Ninjutsu at least two ranks lower in strength.

Rank: X :: Simple
Description: The user takes various awkward steps forward, takes both nunchaku by their ends, and swings them around his body in multiple linear patterns. Treated as complex when used against armor.

Ring Toss
Rank: X :: Complex
Description: The user holds one nunchaku by its end and injects chakra into it. With a light whip-lash style motion, he will let loose a spinning disc of pure chakra as of a large shuriken. However, the technique can also be adjusted by using elemental chakra, resulting in rings of fire or water, and so on.

___S t a g e F i v e [ A ]
Eight Point Bash
Rank: A :: Simple
Description: The user charges forward, nunchaku ends tucked between armpits. When the time seems right, the user will attempt to unleash a combination of eight directional strikes. One uppercut, one overhead strike, one strike from the left, one strike from the right, a second uppercut, one diagonal up from left to right, one diagonal up from right to left, and finally a hard forward jab. Each strike is typically aimed for the head, and as such, if the initial uppercut lands, the remaining seven strikes should follow fine. Additionally, the ending jab disrupts the target's balance, causing them to lose their footing.

Friction Motion
Rank: A :: Simple
Description: The user will continuously sling his nunchaku around himself, creating a 360º barrier, extremely effective seeing how the user may still remain moving. Any light or medium weight projectile that comes near the user during this period is deflected, if not simply shattered. When the user has finished his swinging, each nunchaku will seem to be giving off steam, and for a brief while, any successful attacks brought on by these enhanced nunchaku deal an additional D ranked amount of fire damage and can cause severe burns. Rotating preparation requires [3-5] posts. Burning effect lasts [6] posts.

Twisting Dragon
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: The user will begin by holding one nunchaku at its end, and the other as they see fit. They will proceed by attempting to close the distance, and when the time arises, swing out the loose gripped one in an attempt to wrap the foot or leg of their target. If successful, the user will quickly follow by bringing the blunt end of the opposite nunchaku into the opponent, and finish by spinning and throwing the opponent into the air. Because this attack is so swift, and essentially a grab, it can be used as a quite lethal mix-up technique. Treated as complex against opponents who are within arm's reach.

___S t a g e S i x [ S ]
Dragon Fang
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: An anti-air technique developed to stop enemies in their tracks. The user will hold both nunchaku folded and backwards, then stab at high speeds diagonally into the air. Roughly twenty strikes, each one with enough power to suspend a person in midair. The final strike is different however, as the user will jab one nunchaku hard into the target, let loose his grip on one bar, and slam the suspended target into the ground. The final strike denies the target any fortitude bonuses and is treated as spiritual against armor techniques.

Voluptuous Dragon Tongue
Rank: S :: Simple
Description: The user will begin by holding both nunchaku folded over between his armpits, he will then proceed by creating an opening in the opponent's defense. When the time has come, the user will harness all of his arm strength, causing veins to strain and undulate. He will then swing his nunchaku at incredible speeds, forming loops, linear strings, and hard jab free-style attacks; all while shifting his feet to circle the opponent. Because of its speed and power, the movements will also likely cause friction burns. After the technique has come to a close, the user will have little arm strength left, resulting in his ability to only use specific techniques with a single nunchaku at a time. After usage, techniques are performed with one [1] nunchaku and techniques above Rank B cannot be used. Friction burns cause C-Rank damage once per post for eight posts, or until treated by a medic.

Kyoukan Ya
The bolt which flies true.

User Image

___Description:
___Kyoukan Ya happens to be one of the few existing arrow techniques utilized by the shinobi world, as it makes use of tricks and variability in its arts meant to take down foes from a distance. Most practitioners of the Assassin's Arrow tend to be killers from the shadows.
___Relevant Training: Any bows.

___S t a g e O n e [ E ]
Quick Draw!
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: A technique used for showing off, more than it is used combat wise, as the user draws their arrow and fires it quickly, sacrificing most accuracy for speed. Gains a slight bonus to speed per rank, but suffers a slight loss to strength per rank.

Arc Bolt
Rank: E :: Complex
Description: The user utilizes their chakra to make their arrow turn once in the air slightly. This effect is immediate, and the arc will be noticed quite quickly. Allows one turn of up to 45 degrees. Must be applied to an arrow before launch, but does not consume an activation if used alongside another technique from this Style.

Flight of the Harrier
Rank: X :: Simple :: Stance
Description: A stance meant to be used on the run to fire quickly. The user keeps their bow close to their body and draws it halfway, sacrificing power for increased mobility and speed. Increases the limit for Speed descriptive increases slightly per rank. Movement does not disrupt this stance. Upkeep of this technique’s rank is paid every post.

___S t a g e T w o [ D ]
Rapid Fire
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: Calling upon one's stamina, the user begins to build up from some basic skills, and draws their arrows with speed, firing them off. One after another. At this point in time, the user while quick, doesn't have the accuracy to make it work that great. Time to spray and pray, huh? Launches two arrows per rank. Arrows launched this way do not gain any descriptive bonuses.

Sidewinder
Rank: X :: Complex
Description: A technique to defeat walls in the user's way, where they apply chakra to coerce a more fierce arc in the arrow to move around the side of the wall. While it isn't a guaranteed hit, it'll shock 'em out of cover! Allows one turn of up to 90 degrees. Can only be used once per post, but does not consume an activation and affects all arrows launched by the next technique. This technique's rank is either D-Rank or one rank lower than the accompanying technique, if the accompanying technique launches multiple arrows.

Heaven's Spear
Rank: X :: Complex
Description: A technique which requires some time to work up in power, the user fires their arrow directly up into the sky. While this makes the user seem egotistical, they've imbued the arrow with a flexible chakra, which allows it to pick up an electrical charge as it rises and falls back to the earth. If the attack should land, the enemy will find themselves moving rather sluggish from the electrical discharge. Causes two posts of reduced mobility. Requires an additional post for the arrow to fall.

___S t a g e T h r e e [ C ]
Fallen Bolt
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: The user draws their bow and fires from a concealed location. When used with any techniques that change the arc of the arrow, this technique leaves its user completely concealed from prying eyes. Consumes two activations, but gives no evidence as to where the user might be hiding.

Trip Wire
Rank: X :: Complex
Description: Attaching a line to the user's arrow, they send their arrow flying into one location, and attach the other side of the line to a nearby anchor of some sort. The line carries any Chakra it has been imbued with and releases it whenever something comes into contact with it. Can be used as a simple technique to set up tripwires without Chakra effects.

Rocket Bolt
Rank: X :: Complex
Description: The user applies their chakra to their arrow, and when it's sent off through the air, the chakra is used to provide extra thrust. Arrow gains a mild speed boost per rank, but cannot be augmented by other techniques in this Style.

Cluster Training
Rank: C :: Training
Description: At this point in time, the user will practice firing multiple arrows at one time from their bow. Allows the user to increase the rank of a bow technique by one to add an additional arrow to it. Receives no reductions.

Bomb Arrow
Rank: C :: Training
Description: The user goes through a process prior to battle to create detonating arrows, by attaching an exploding note to the arrow carefully and camouflaging it to appear as a normal shaft. The enemy is in for a surprise when the user chooses to detonate the seemingly normal arrows for an explosion. Arrows augmented this way appear identical to normal arrows to those who have not reached Grandmaster in the Wood-smithing [Job].

Ambusher’s Crouch
Rank: X :: Complex :: Stance
Description: The user crouches with one leg extended. Chakra flows along that leg to help dissipate the recoil of their shots into the surface beneath them. Bow techniques up to this technique’s rank fired from a higher location than the opponent are treated as complex. Increases the limit for Strength descriptive increases slightly per rank. Typically assumed while under some sort of cover. Upkeep of this technique’s rank is paid every post.

___S t a g e F o u r [ B ]
Seekers
Rank: B :: Complex
Description: Applying chakra in a way to match the enemy's base chakra signatures, the seeker arrows are far more flexible in their movement, tracking the enemy much like a homing arrow. Depending on the arrow type, the enemy is in for quite a blitz. Arrows augmented this way can turn up to 180 degrees five times.

Pincer Arrows
Rank: X :: Complex
Description: Utilizing two arrows, the user applies their chakra to the both of them, to have them arc in two different directions, attacking the enemy from two sides.

Restraint Shot
Rank: X :: Complex
Description: Drawing five arrows on one's bow, the user connects them in a seemingly simple way, so that they might appear loosely connected. Little does the enemy know, the truth is the arrows are connected in a more complicated way than they could have guessed, forming a net made of chakra to pin the enemy against a surface. Elemental chakra of all kinds may be applied for additional effects. The rank of this technique affects the durability of the net rather than the damage it might cause, which is consistently limited to D-Rank.

Venom Sting
Rank: B :: Training
Description: The user learns of the ways to create a poisonous arrow unique to the possessors of the Kyoukan Ya arts. Allows the user to rub any appropriate poison into the body of an arrow, which will remain poisoned until it delivers its payload, is scrubbed clean, or is broken. In the case that the arrow is broken, the fragments lose their poisoned property at the end of the battle.

___S t a g e F i v e [ A ]
Flick Draw
Rank: A :: Simple
Description: Building upon the basics of earlier techniques, the user remains seemingly casual. The user appears unable to fire their bow, either because it is not in hand or is not at the ready. With blinding speed, the user proves they aren't as unable to fire as they seem, with an arrow launched in the surprise, it's hard to avoid! Any bonuses to traps apply to this technique, and the target is denied any bonuses to their reflexes when defending against this technique.

Bore Bolt
Rank: X :: Complex
Description: The user fires off an arrow with surprising skill. The rotation of the arrow is increased, allowing it to bore into an enemy through their armor. Is treated as spiritual against armor techniques.

Cripple
Rank: X :: Complex
Description: The user applies chakra in a unique manner as they fire the arrow. Sacrificing its usual piercing capabilities, the chakra will form a blunt head of sorts. As a result the arrow will make contact, but it will not pierce the flesh. Rather, the arrow itself will be crushed against the chakra, and the force will be transferred into the hit location, as if the enemy has been struck by hammer, leaving bruising at the least, and possible breakage at the most.

Sun Spot
Rank: X :: Complex
Description: The user harnesses their chakra into one localized spot, on the tip of their index finger, and when they fire their arrow, the chakra is released in a blinding burst to provide cover for the arrow, while it soars to strike the enemy. Arrow temporarily blinds anyone who looks directly at it, with blindness lasting 2 posts.

Death Murmur
Rank: X :: Complex
Description: The user applies their chakra to the arrow they are firing, yet it appears as if the chakra isn't doing anything. Upon impact into the enemy, the user forms a ninja seal, and the chakra becomes active, creating barbs to keep the arrow head embedded into the enemy. Only three murmur arrows may be activated at any time. Barbs remain active for four posts. Removing this arrow causes heavy bleeding that must be treated by a medic of equal or greater rank than this technique before recovery can occur.

___S t a g e Six [ S ]
Slip Stream
Rank: S :: Simple
Description: The user draws two arrows, but only knocks one to fire off. The second of which is knocked and fired nearly immediately after the first. While not drawn with as much power, the turbulence provided by the first arrow allows for surprising acceleration in the second, creating a "one-two" shot, in a localized area. With true precision, the second will smash the first into the target, embedding the head and hindering use of the limb. Second arrow gains a supreme increase to speed, which becomes a strength increase if it hits the first arrow.

Shatter Shot
Rank: S :: Training
Description: A third type of arrow the user is taught in the Kyoukan Ya skills. The user is taught the method to inserting what is similar to an exploding note into the core of the arrow's shaft, and how to cut it to fly true yet. Beneath its head are narrow openings to the note, which will use the blood of the enemy to extinguish its detonating capabilities, if it has hit true. If not, the arrow will explode into shards, hitting the enemy with wooden shrapnel. Requires 30 chakra to activate the "fuse" of each arrow.

Nature Siphon
Rank: S :: Complex
Description: A technique which allows the user to create elemental arrows of sorts, depending on their chakra natures. What makes this technique most useful is the fact that it may take even advanced chakra natures, for additional effects. Requires 25 chakra per arrow for simple elements, or 40 chakra per arrow for advanced elements (hyouton, mokuton, etc.).

Essence Siphon
Rank: S :: Complex
Description: The user makes use of stored materials, allowing for quick arrow creation mid-battle. Applying their chakra to the material, it becomes aggravated and applies its attributes to the arrow, making it appear a flawless and unmodified arrow. At this point, the user may make use of pre-mixed Kyoukan Ya poison, or even explosive notes to create arrows of varying effects. The user may apply two materials to an arrow through this method. Requires 20 chakra per material for an arrow.

Doki Yari
That which falls like lightning.

User Image

___Description:
___The technique is often mistaken for use of simply spears, while some of its moves may favor simple spears, but many have made use of most kinds of light pole arms in terms of use. Devised to drive through anything standing in its way, Doki Yari often proves taxing and appears clumsy looking.
___Doki Yari stands in the forefront of the shinobi world as one of the few spear techniques that have been conceived in its history. Originating from the Land of Valleys, it oddly was not established by the shinobi that make use of it today, but rather rogues waiting for that unfortunate passerby who would be buying their meal that night. Word got out, eventually, as the Valleys became more and more renowned, for people gone missing. That was when the Daimyo in the Land of Fire grew concerned, sending off some of the Leaf's elite. Scuffles ensued, and with each encounter, their shinobi learned of the strengths of the technique, and worked to adapt it, turning it against its original creators. It's origins were snuffed for the time being, and brought back to the shinobi world. A technique to pierce the very walls that stand in its users way.
___Relevant Training: Any polearms.

___Notes:
• Polearms used must be of medium weight or lighter.
• Gains a slight increase to strength with every mastered stage for a total of a supreme increase upon mastery.

___S t a g e O n e [ E ]
Forceful Lunge
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: The first technique a user is meant to learn, most find it terribly impractical. The user thrusts the spear forward, often keeping their center of gravity low, overextending themselves to really push their range. Gains a slight increase to strength per rank.

Bo Strike
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: The user utilizes this move in close proximity. Grabbing hold of the haft, they swing quickly at the side of the enemy, around an enemy's defenses, so as to put some room between the two of them. A movement technique used in conjunction with this technique to create distance does not consume an activation.

Horse Stance
Rank: X :: Simple :: Stance
Description: The user stands with their knees bent and in line with their shoulders, their feet flat on the ground. The head of their spear is pointed toward the opponent’s heart. Allows the user to convert any Speed descriptive increases a spear technique would grant into Strength increases. Increases the limit for Strength descriptive increases mildly per rank. Broken by any level of movement. Upkeep of this technique’s rank is paid every post.

___S t a g e T w o [ D ]
Piercing Thrust
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: The user will perform what appears to be a typical thrust of the spear, however they will loosen their grip upon the haft, allowing it to proceed, before giving it a little extra force by striking the butt of the spear. Complex defensive techniques are treated as simple when interacting with this technique.

Sweep Strike
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: The user will alter their grip upon the haft of the spear and swing it wide and low, at an incoming enemy, not only disrupting their attack, but sending them reeling to the ground. Functions as an offensive and defensive technique simultaneously. Denies the target up to one descriptive bonus to speed per rank for the post, lest they be injured by this movement.

Double Strike
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: The user will use the haft of the weapon in a primary attack. If it lands, it creates an opening in the defenses of the opponent for a secondary swing. Counts as two separate attacks when interacting with defenses.

Fake Out
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: The user will run in at the opponent and make themselves stumble, presenting a false opening. Should the opponent take that opportunity, the user will drop their foot to the earth to spring the trap. The user will whirl about and strike the enemy with either the spearhead or the haft. If used as the final action in a post and the trap is sprung, the user automatically launches another attack at this technique's rank or lower at the beginning of the next post without consuming an extra activation.

___S t a g e T h r e e [ C ]
Counter Thrust
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: When met by a thrust of some sort, the user will angle their weapon and push forward, sending the weapon greatly off course, before bringing the haft down upon the opponent's shoulder, causing a short lived paralysis in the arm. Affected limb is stunned for two posts or until healed, whichever comes sooner.

Gatling Technique
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: The user will thrust forward their spear, keeping a gentle grasp upon the haft, Once it reaches the end of its range, the user will pull back the spear, and repeat the process again. The number of strikes involved in this technique make it difficult to read, but will definitely exhaust the user. Allows for one strike per rank, or two strikes per rank if this technique is made to consume two activations, or three per rank if made to consume all three activations in a post.

Aerial Assault
Rank: X :: Complex
Description: The user will use the butt of the haft as an aid to send them reeling through the air feet first at the opponent. Wrapping their legs in chakra to reinforce them, so as to avoid breaking anything when they meet with defenses. Certain users may supremely increase their speed by adding a burst of Fuuton Chakra when they kick off the ground.

___S t a g e F o u r [ B ]
Lancer
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: The user takes hold of their spear in one hand and chucks it with great speed through the air, piercing defenses of equal strength. The user then has to reclaim their spear, of course.

Disarming Strike
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: This particular technique can be tricky for users of less... daring mindsets. When the opponent moves forward to strike at the user, the user slips the weapon above the enemy's arm and brings it down, sending weapon and limb alike into the ground. Gains a mild boost to strength per rank. Also counts as a defensive technique if successful.

Deafening Assault
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: Utilizing the butt of the spear, the user will jab the opponent in the solar plexus, and if it should be successful, will bring the opponent into the prone position. With the enemy vulnerable, the user will strike again with the haft across the side of their head, to send them reeling to the ground.

Dragon Twister
Rank: X :: Complex
Description: Throwing one's pole arm, much like utilizing Lancer, it is thrown slightly differently. Throwing it with this technique requires chakra, to roll it off one's fingers to create a flying drill of sorts, with a piercing capability so strong that even a blunt weapon will pierce defenses, and continue on even further. Treats armor techniques as simple when interacting with them.

Parrying Death
Rank: X :: Complex
Description: An odd technique amongst the Doki Yari style, as it is purely defensive. Grabbing the butt of the spear, the user will whirl it about creating a dome of chakra about them, which will prevent most physical arts from reaching the user for a period of time. Lasts two [2] posts or as long as the user sustains it, whichever is shorter.

___S t a g e F i v e [ A ]
Spiral Out
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: The user will whirl about while running, to deflect incoming projectile tools and break through objects in their way, which closes the distance between the user and his foes. The user is presented an opportunity to whirl the spear in the whirling motion, to create a pseudo-saw. Confers a slight strength boost to an offensive polearm technique used immediately after it.

Counter Barrage
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: Another counter strike, in which the user will duck beneath the enemy's attacks and thrust the butt of the spear into their abdomen to raise them into the air, before sending them crashing into the ground with earth shattering force. The slam ignores any defenses provided by armor.

Shattering Thrust
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: The user will move forward, identifying the weakest point of a basic structure, before piercing it with their weapon. A precise stab causing a deconstruction of nonliving materials. Can be used to destroy weapons and armor not properly fitted to their user.

Dragon Slayer
Rank: X :: Complex
Description: The user will surround their spear with a serpentine flow of chakra, which resembles a dragon's head at the end of the spearhead. When the weapon is swung, the chakra will then fly forward and slam into the target, driving them back. Inflicts damage a second time if the target is pushed into a solid structure.

Finger of God
Rank: X :: Simple :: Stance
Description: The user stands so that their body and spear run parallel to the line between them and their opponent. The spear is raised such that the head is pointing toward the opponent’s head and the blunt end is higher than the user’s head. Increases the limit for Strength descriptive increases mildly per rank. Upkeep of this technique’s rank is paid every post.

___S t a g e S i x [ S ]
Lightning Surfer
Rank: X :: Simple
Description: The user hurls their spear through the air, and then leaps atop the haft with care. With the user balanced atop the spear, they increase the over all mass of the assault. Now, the spear can continue to soar, or the user can turn it into a whirling strike at the last moment. Gains a mild increase to strength per rank.

Crescent Cleave
Rank: X :: Complex
Description: Channeling their chakra, the user swings their spear along the ground in an upward motion, causing a miniature dust storm to travel forward and strike at the enemy, tearing away at skin and blinding them temporarily. Hinders sight for three [3] posts. Maximum range is one meter per rank, with the dust hindering the sight of anyone within this range in the direction of the strike.

Zeus Bolt
Rank: S :: Complex
Description: The user will utilize chakra to dash to a blind spot in the opponent's defenses, before hurling it into the weakest possible point it can pierce, utilizing the deconstructive properties of the shattering thrust and its superior piecing capabilities. Treated as spiritual against armor techniques.

Heaven's Blessing
Rank: X :: Complex
Description: The user finds that any simple technique is basic enough to be imbued with an element of their own chakra nature. A stab becomes a burning thrust, a sweep a trail of lightning, and so on and so forth. Allows the user to perform any "Simple" technique as if it were "Complex" by imbuing their own elemental chakra.
