The largest church in the United States (and some argue, the world) the Cathedral of St. John the Divine has been a work-in-progress since its contruction began in 1892.

She couldn't take it. Her adrenaline was pumping, her eyes were glowing, her heart was racing and she could feel every nerve and cell of power in her body. Ate hadn't had this much fun in years. All the trouble in the world, the major trouble, had such steady momentum that she was hardly needed anymore.
The young goddess had appeared in the rain in a back alley away from prying eyes while her own looked around in a crazed search for what street she was on. She had heard and read of a rather large and prominent wedding happening somewhere around here soon...at the Cathedral...One of the rich and powerful business men of New York had a daughter getting married today...
Making herself invisible to mortals, Ate danced on her tip-toes between the crowds of people that habited New York's streets until she came to stand at the stairs of the church.
Clasping her hands before her chest, she laughed with anticipation and looked around at the crowd. Lots of tourists...lots of homeless...lots and lots of potential. She rubbed her hands together and whispered in someone's ear an insult that seemed to have carried from the person behind them. Two construction workers, conveniently enough.
Then, turning as they shoved one another, Ate flashed a grin and crossed the street to where a group of tourists stood together. College boys. Frat boys. Easy. She directed some of their attention to a group with several rather pleasently formed girls while two others she helped into a rather heated argument.
After several minutes of this sort of activity, Ate soon had something quiet near a riot that spanned two streets and was quickly building on itself. With a happy sigh, she crossed over to the corner of the church where three homeless men sat huddled under an awning near the garbage cans. She dropped a lighter at their feet and they quickly set about making a fire in one of the cans for warmth.
Police were soon on the scene trying to calm the crowd and smooth out the chaos and Ate made her way into the Cathedral. The wedding was just to the part of the vows and the goddess had an idea. She turned to the front doors of the church and flung them open wide. The chaos in the street, screams, shouts, loud speakers, someone was shooting off firecrackers...all the noise flooded into the sanctuary and some terrified people ran in for safety.
Everything was ruined and Ate vanished with a grin as the New York Times arrived in their van...right behind the S.W.A.T. team.
