Ok, so she and the boys were looooong overdue for hanging out. Things had been terribly busy and absolutely wonderful for them all since the Hatching, but tonight G'brel decided that their free time might be put to better use than just by simply studying-- much to Lifth's displeasure. Earlier on she had sent a note to both F'ren and S'in via Mossy (hopefully they had gotten the messages. The little green could be rather unreliable sometimes), and as it was about 8:30pm she was currently waiting for them at the designated meeting spot by the lake. "Those guys are so slow," she muttered, looking about for the two other riders. Where were they?
Lifth wasn't the least bit upset about the others not being here yet, and was currently enjoying the solitude not usually afforded him in his bunk. He could live with this quite easily, and personally hoped that the other two riders wouldn't be arriving any time soon...

Linnaeth's chirping voice heralded the approach of at least one of the pairs, S'in making his way toward the meeting spot.
It's been a while since we met up with everyone. Linnaeth chirped, bobbing along the path. It's dark out. Are there Wher's out here? I haven't seen one. What do they look like?
Sort of like dragons, but... not. S'in volunteered back, trying to remember the infrequent glimpses he'd gotten of the unpleasant looking animals. While he understood that they were useful, it didn't follow that he had to be interested in or impressed by them.
"G'brel!" he called, as they got closer to the lake. "How are you guys doing?"
Lifth!

"S'in!" G'brel greeted back with a grin, waving happily over at the other. "Bout time one of you lot got here. All is well on our end."
Well, so much for peace and quiet. It seemed that the blue was forever doomed to be surrounded by loud and chatty dragons. Linnaeth, he replied by way of greeting. Good evening.
"How've you two been holdin up?" the teen asked once the pair was a bit closer to them.

F'ren was late, he hurried along as fast as his sleepy dragon would go "Toulonth, you should have stayed in the barracks, you cold have slept while i came" But then i would have been out of your sight, and anyway i wanted to meet my fellows too, and Your friends seem nice she replied. He wasn't so sure that G'brel was smart getting them to meet at the lake after dark, not only were there Whers out there might be other creatures come to drink, as he neared he saw that S'in had already gotten there "S'IN!, G'BREL!" he called.
*Linnaeth, Lifth hello* she sent quietly, unnerved a little by the darkness *Mine thinks it could be dangerous for us out here, do you think so?* she asked them glancing around hoping to see in the gloom, but she was a Dragon, not a Wher and could only really see as far as the light allowed.

"Not too bad, we've been keeping busy obviously. But then who hasn't." he rubbed Linnaeth's head to the brown's delight. "Sorry to be late, I just got a little caught up dealing with Lin here." He apologized. "F'ren's not here yet? Oop, never mind!"
He tucked one leg under him and sat down on the edge of the lake with a shrug, having gotten slightly more relaxed about his nice things being a mess since... well... most of them at this point were usually partially soaked in dragon drool or had tooth marks in them from Linnaeth's dogged following.
It's a nice night. Linnaeth noted to Lifth, settling down near his rider. Looking forward to more lessons tomorrow? How could it be dangerous! We're here, right? We wouldn't be here if it was dangerous.

"Hey there, wherry-brain," G'brel greeted the other with a grin, glad that both boys were finally here. "So, first order of business: F'ren, I believe that your little 'prediction' of our future in class that day wasn't entirely accurate. That means gloating rights." She remembered quite well the contents of the note they had written in class that day, and after their stable-duty punishment, she doubted either of the other two had forgotten it either.
Possibly, Lifth replied in answer to Toulonth's question. He didn't sound entirely concerned by the matter though. Looking forward to it? I suppose. We have to learn this information at some point or another anyway. Privately to G'brel he said, Mine, you may perhaps want to consider moving this meeting indoors. Toulounth and Hers are concerned of the night time predators.
Ah, true enough. Very well then. "Did you guys wanna move this meeting inside somewhere?"

"Linnaeth's not so worried, but we're either going to run into a predator, or worse... an annoyed adult." It was only a half joke, since technically running into a Southern feline was worse, and he stood up again dusting the dirt off his clothes. "Any idea where you want to go? Anyone's bunk mate out, or should we just go find an alcove or something and see if there's any leftover hot klah."

"Hehe, yeah, annoyed adults are quite dangerous," G'brel agreed, going along with the joke. "Hm, I could do with some klah. To the mess hall then? Probably won't be too crowded at this time of evening." She had really only asked to meet them at the lake because it seemed like a good neutral location for them all, but she'd really rather not run into any felines while they were out.

F'ren grimmaced "Wherry brain?! why dear G'brel i'm most offended!" he said, mock hurt in his voice "Wait.. i wasn't totally wrong! i just got the dragons slightly mixed up between us" he replied glancing around "I vote Klah, and maybe some leftovers i'm hungry" he commented, looking back towards the Weyr.
Worry tinged her eyes but she held fast, if her clutchmates weren't afraid then neither would she be *You are right, we are here it should be safe.. but.. lets go somewhere else?* she suggested *maybe Ours could get us something to eat? Mine is hungry and it makes me hungry a little too*

"Yes, and that 'mix up' means that your dragon won't be catching mine any time soon," she replied with a wink, sticking her tongue out at him just to tease the other. "Alright, I definitely vote mess hall then. Some extra food never hurts."
It sounds as if that is already the plan, Lifth remarked, moving to follow the humans back inside.
~~~~~~
It didn't take the group very long to locate some food and klah, and they settled down at an available table to eat and drink, their dragonets sitting close by. "So, you guys looking forward to when we can fly?" she asked with a grin. That was still a ways off, but it was definitely an exciting prospect to look forward to.
F'ren frowned and thought a moment, then he laughed "But, YOUR dragon could still catch mine, and we'll end up in the same situation anyway!" he replied with a wink. Mine? what do you mean?" asked Toulonth, whichmade F'ren laugh even more "You'll find out soon enough, the rate you're growing Toulonth Love" he said, walking beside her towards the Weyr proper.
Yes, inside is good she commented to Lifth, walking behind him.
~~~~~~~~~
Once Toulonth was settled laying down near the other two dragons F'ren ate himself, drinking some Klah to wake himself up "Of course! once we're flying there's nothing we cant do, nowhere we cant go!" he said excitedly.

Before you know it, we will be flying. We will fly better than -anyone- Linnaeth noted, with great assurance. Well, perhaps with exceptions to some of the larger colors, but they would definitely be fine, the little brown was certain.
"We'll do great." S'in assured, patting him on the head. "Although that's right isn't it? Flights will definitely be an complicated affair." He turned a serious gaze on G'brel and added. "I hope you're not a sore looser, because Linnaeth will definitely win in any flight he and Lifth compete."

F'ren giggled at his friends, having a Dragon was alot of work but here they all were, managing to have found some free time, and all enjoying time spent together. His mind went to his Bunkmate and his Dragon and he grinned "If a certain Bronze has anything to say about it, neither would catch Toulonth" he said with a laugh.

"Ha! If it's a long flight, maybe," G'brel said with a grin. "But they'll mostly be chasing greens I imagine. Lifth could outmaneuver Linnaeth easily." Even if he was a rather small brown, he was still no blue. "On the topic of Flights though, I imagine you'll be having the most 'fun' of us all, F'ren," the bluerider remarked, poking her friend in the ribs teasingly. "So, of all the lovely blue and brownriders of Trine, have any preferences picked out for yourself and Toulonth yet?"
Had it been possible, Lifth likely would have been rolling his eyes at the conversation. At least since these two friends were actually born and raised in the Weyr with her, they wouldn't freak out at the topic as her bunkmate had.

"Don't count your greens before they're caught." S'in fought a smile, the corner of his mouth twitching with amusement at the friendly competition. "That is a good question though." S'in glanced toward F'ren, and had to admit his thoughts jumped to the swim they'd taken together, and danced around that thought in uncertain steps. "What do you say, F'ren?"
