Ming was never one to stray far, but sometimes she couldnt help it. She would get caught up in the moment. She loved to see what new thing she could find out. However today seemed like it was going no where.... It was mid-day and ming was laying under the cool shade of a tree. Thoughts traveled in and out of her mind, What am i doing? This is boring, i need something to..., but before she could finish that thought something caught her eye...
She looked around to see what it was...it was something... shes never seen such a beautiful insect... wings featuring orange and black patterns. Wow... its so beautiful... what is that thing... she thought in amazement. Slowly she rose to her paws, staying low to the ground, to prevent from scaring the mysterious creature off. The insect perched itself upon the trunk of the tree, just barely out of reach for Ming...
She crept closer, watching, waiting, examining... her body was tingling with excitement... Just a few more... Snap! Unfortunatly, her back paw stepped on a small fallen branch, it scared off the myserious incest, flapping its beautiful wings as it slowly began to flutter away... But Ming would let it go... she couldn't... she had to find out what it was first... so has she would always do she chased after it.
"What?! Wait! No, come back!" She hollered as she started following the insect... Not even caring where it would take her...

It was hot. Sooo very hot. At least, that's what the large blue Lion thought of the day; chances were good that he was just victim to the heat due to his size. It also probably had something to do with the fact he was laying out in the sun, on a patch of dirt he'd found. There was shade, he could see it...but it was all the way over there. Sighing to himself, he panted heavily and tried to weigh the pros and cons; shade would feel better, but getting TO the shade involved moving.
Apparently, the desire to not move won out.
Well, until he heard a little holler from a dismayed sounding cub.
"Eh?" Jelani murmured to himself; the heat couldn't get him to move, but a little voice apparently could. The blue beast rolled onto his belly and then to his paws, sitting up. With a rather vocal yawn he looked around, idly noticing a butterfly pass right by him, but otherwise, he didn't see anyone...well, except for a little body that was coming steadily closer.
"Lose someone?" He asked, the tired note to his voice, but also one of mild concern.

Ming turned in surprise, she hadent even noticed the big blue lion. She was so focused on finding out what the creature was. "Umm..." looking around to see if the insect was still in sight, which just to her luck it wasnt. "No... not anymore." She said with a melancholy sigh. Hesitantly she walked closer to the immensely large beast in curiousity and fear. Don't eat me, don't eat me, don't eat me. That thought repeating in her head with a petite amount of dread. She had never seen such a big creature what else was she supposed to think. She was after all only a cub. The biggest thing she saw before this moment was her own father.
"Your big," Ming stated with blunt honesty. She took a seat a few feet away in the shade. Leaves crunching as she sat. She was exactly sure what to think, except for the fact that he was big. REALLY big, well in her opinion he was. Ming wasn't the shy type, no matter who you were.
Carefully looking him over, ming finally thought that he seemed nice and harmless enough .Once she noted he was friend and not foe, questions came out like word vomit...Whats your name? My family calls me Ming. Do you wanna play? Do you know any good games?" Her voice full of excitement speaking with haste. "Do you wanna race? Im a fast runner wanna see?"After a few more questions the rambuctious cub finally had to stop to take a breath...

Jelani seemed baffled. There was no one else here...how could she not lose someone and still have been so worried? Sleepy eyes looked down at her, and it hit him; this little thing happened to be a cub. Cubs were strange. There was his answer. The curious little thing came over to inspect him, and the big guy yawned wide, his tongue rolling out of his mouth. Her observation made him cut his yawn short to chuckle, shaking his big blue head lightly.
"Yeah, well, you're tiny." He shot back with a childish little tone before continuing his previously interrupted yawn. Then...the verbal diarrhea. Gray eyes stared at the fast talking cub in obvious surprise while he tried to figure out what the heck she was saying. Name? Ming? Games? Running fast? Oh boy. One of those cubs.
"Uhm. I'm Jelani." The chubby Lion offered, tilting his head and lifting a paw to scratch his cheek. Game...Game...What game would involve him less, but tire her out to be understandable? Damn it! He was never one for games. Thoughtful eyes spotted the ring the clearing made around them; it was decent sized, and generally big enough to suit her just fine. So, with his brilliant idea in mind, he gestured towards the ring of sand.
"Yeah. I wanna see how fast you can run. I'll count to ten, and you run this big wide circle as many times as you can. Don't step off the dirt though; the grass is...I'unno, lava? Or something." Shrugging, he looked down at Ming. "How's that game sound? I can even do the counting for you."

Ming started bouncing around with joy, she loved to run. "Yay a game! Ooooo the grass can be lava, yay this is gonna be so fun! I bet i can do more than 5." She stated with slight overconfidence. "How many do you think i can do?" She looked up at him with her deep purple eyes staring at him, curious to know his answer. I bet he'll say a low number, everyone always under estimates me because im little; if he does i'll show him how wrong he is. She thought with great determination. However her facial expression never her dermination. Instead it seemed like his answer would have no affect on her, like she just asked the question, to ask it and didn't really care about the answer.
Ming egaer to start the game regardlesss of his answer, darted to a spot along the circle that Jelani pointed out. Excitement seemed to just raidiated around her. She got low ready to dart. Starting to kick up dirt with her hind legs like she was a bull darting toward a matador instead of a cub playing a game. I got this, nothing is to much for me to handle," She thought with a bit of a hubristic grin. "I'm ready when you are!" She shouted from her starting point. Ming was competative, but never in a mean or bad way, she just wanted to prove herself, to show how good she was to everyone.
As she waited for him to give her the ok to go, she couldn't help but wonder how well she was gonna do her self. Was she going to do horrible or very well. She shook it off, anything she did she would b happy with so long as she knew she tried. So she waited with anticipation and determination.

How many did he think she could do? Well, judging by how fast she could talk... "Fifteen." It was simply said, but he had some tiredly sarcastic tone to his voice; he didn't mean to be a litle cranky...he was just really tired. Waking up was never one of his strong suits. Watching her move to her own starting point, he lifted a paw lazily.
"Ready? Set? Go~" On 'Go', he stomped his foot down into the dirt and, giving a good two second head start, flopped over to lay on his side before even thinking of counting. "One." He started, counting rather slowly and somewhat hoping she didn't realize he was doing so. For half of it his eyes were even closed; he wasn't even watching most of it. He could hear her though, and thats all that mattered.
"Eight...Nine....Nine and One Quarter...Nine and One Half...Nine and Three Quarters...Ten." Finally getting to the end, he opened his eyes and lifted his big head, looking around to see where the girl was.

Ming was surprised at the number he said. Does he really think i can do that many? She questioned herself for a second. Well i know i can sure try. She thought with deep determination. As seconds ticked by she waited and once she hear the blue lion say "Go", she darted leaving behind a smoke cloud of sand. Her muscles moving like lightining. She could feel it counting to herself as she ran around the circle causing diirt to get kicked up as she ran.
The longer he counted the slower she got, the more tired she got. As the seconds past she moved slower and slower. Her muscles staring to shutdown, but she still didint give up. Using all the strenght she had left in her, she pushed herself as far as she can. Then once she heard "Ten" she dropped where she stood.
Breathing slightly heavy she couldn't help but shout, "I... Did... Eight!" She was proud of herself, Slowly using the last little bit of energy her muscles had left she got up and walked to the big blue lion and took a spot near him and laid with a Plop. Did i do good? Was i fast? She ask slower and in a lethargic tone. She looked up into his charcoal gray eyes with a smile waiting for his reply.

The kicked up dust tickled his nose, but it wasn't enough to make him want to sneeze. Instead he snorted to kick up dust of his own, and continued on counting. He seemed fairly amused when she dropped at 'ten', finding her timing absolutely perfect. Eight? Well, it seemed like more than that, but he trusted her counting. She pulled herself over to him, and Jelani shifted his position a bit, more lounging than flat out laying, enough to cast a shadow with his big and fluffy head.
"You did real good, like lightning." He assured her, reaching out with a giant white paw to place it against her rear, pulling her against his opposite arm. "Here, ya look like you could use a drink." He informed her, kneeling down to let her on his back if she so wished. Jelani felt almost guilty for tiring her out so badly; she didn't seem to weigh much, it wouldn't be much trouble to carry her to the cooler feeling water hole.

A smile emerged across her face at the kind completment from the big blue beast. What a kind lion. She thought bubbly to herself. I tried my hardest but i got tired. She said with a slight chuckle. Ming noticed he was strong when the big paw reached over and pulled her closer to him she was in great awe of his stregnth. His paw was monsterous comparied to hers. Will i ever be as big as him. She thought with some admiration and curiosity. No, silly your a cheetah. She couldnt help but laugh at answering her own question.
Some water would be nice. She stated with a joyous tone after hearing him ask. Climbing up onto his back, her irretractable claws digging slighty into his skin. She settled herself in a comfortable position on his back. His fur felt soft and bushy, she couldn't help but fondle with it for a moment. She had never felt such thick fur. She liked it alot, so much that she rubbed her head against it for a moment then stopped an laughed at her own foolishness. "Ready when you are big man."She said laughing with her childish tone.

"Well...now you have a goal." Jelani offered in a surprisingly hopeful tone, someone surprised she didn't catch on that her result was due to a cheat. He was still pretty sure she could do it even when someone was counting honestly, though. Energetic child and all.
He didn't realize that she had claws, though.
Jelani's face scrunched up in pain, his own claws slipping out to claw at the ground, the occasional twitch given when she accidentally clawed between muscles. "Having fun?" He chuckled once she finally got settled, absently amused with the way she nuzzled and played with his mane. Then, of course, the brilliant idea hit him! "Yanno, might be more comfortable to lay higher up on my neck." Yes, closer to his head, where his mane would protect him better from her claws. Cub claws were sharp, damnit!
"Aye Aye, Captain Midget." With a sarcastic salute of his paw, he turned and padded towards the water hole once she had settled. It was so hot...so so hot.
"Where're your parents?" Jelani asked suddenly; another thought that just hit him. Hopefully, he wouldn't have to adopt this cute, furry little ball of intense energy! He wouldn't know what to do with her.

Ming smiled, "I want to beat it one day soon." Her voice was cheerful.
"Why, yes i am havin fun." She chuckled as she continued to nuzzle against his fur, she let out a small sneeze and laughed at herself. She moved up to his unruly and enormous blue mane. A smile grew across her face and she nuzzled and rubbed her face in and around his mane. It's so soft and fluffly! She thought as she laughed at herself.
She giggled at the name she called her as she continued to play around with his mane. This is the most fun she's had.
"My mommy and daddy aren't far from the tree you found me. I'm never allowed to go to far from it. But they let me run and play because i never wanna stay still." She smiled and felt the lion's mane tickle her nose and couldn't help but let out another sneeze. "They told me i have to be back before bed-bye time." With a more serious tone she asked, "Do you think you can take me back to the tree after we get some water?" Her voice also filled with hope.

"I'm glad." At first he sounded sarcastic, but the more she nuzzled and sneezed and rubbed, the more he started to enjoy it, and the more he tickled. With a laugh, he shook his mane a bit; enough to brush her with all that blue fur, but not enough to make her fall off. "If you keep sneezing like that I'm going to need a bath." He was waking up, and getting more used to having such an energetic little thing near him, chattering his ear off.
"Nah, I'm going to leave you near the water." This time he did sound sarcastic, but he gave a gruff chuckle after. "Yes, I can take you back." Soon enough he reached the water hole, staring down into the water to make sure it was safe enough, and despite still having Ming on his mane, he bowed his big head and started lapping at the water. If she wanted some, she'd either have to climb off of him, jump in, or step on his face.
Luckily for her, he didn't mind either way she ended up taking; she had grown on him in the short time, for being a ball of energy.

I sorry but its so fluffy!! Ming said as she continued to nuzzle against his mane. She would occasionally paw at it and giggle. She really liked him, he was a nice lion, she though he was sweet not like other lions. She thought all lions were mean, but he was different. "Beside were going to a watering hole silly, you can bathe then." She said with a soft chuckle.
She smiled at his scarcasm and simply said "Thank you."Ming stared at the water and slowly stood up careful not to fall off. She carefully walk down stepping on his head and with a big push off his head and a loud yell of excitement she jumped in the water making a splash and a slightly large ripple effect. As she cam up she couldn't help but laugh. She loved having a good time even if it happened in a strange way. She continued to play in the water.
Looking over at the lion she said with laughing, "The water is perfect for a bath." She said before splashing him slightly with water.

"What if I don't want to bathe?" Jelani questioned the little brat on his mane, tilting his head up in an attempt to see her, however in vain the attempt was. There was no way he could, unless he grew eyes on the back of his head!
Jelani shifted lightly under the cheetah cub when she stood up, making sure she wouldn't fall unless she wanted to. Why did he care? He wasn't sure, but he did. Stupid little thing growing on him. The blue lion flinched when she pushed off of his head and yelled, his ears burying further into his darker blue mane, and then flinched his entire head away from the splash.
"Is it? Better watch out for Crocodiles. They like to eat little Cheetahs." He hummed with teasing nonchalance, looking away after his rather ominous threat.

Was that a bit of asperity that Ming detected in the lions tone or was it something else? "Well fine then, don't take a bath; but it’s your loss." Ming said with a bit of an obdurate tone. Ming enjoyed swimming in the water it was perfect.
Mings muscles stiffened and she gazed around at the mention of crocodiles. "Do th-they really li-like little cheetahs?"Ming said with a stutter trying to sound brave, but only a fool wouldn't hear the fear in hear voice. She continuously gazed around, jumping at anything that moved. "You were just joking.... right?" Ming looked up at the big blue lion with her deep purple eyes before glancing across the surface of the water once more.
Ming began swimming toward the shore. "I Th-think I should get out be-before I get to ti-tired." Ming stated, her voice shaken and scared. She didn't want to come off as a scaredy-cat, so she tried to act as tough as she could.
