Did you realise that what you wanted to do you practically did all along? I was digging through stuff to pack as I moved, and I found my first toy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mattel_Aquarius When I found it, I was surprised. I also found a couple of alarms, of which my mom found and realised they were the alarms my mom used to alert her if I ran out of the house at the age of 2 or 3. The story was that she set the alarms, then I climbed up on a chair, disabled the alarm, and ran out of the house. But I kinda knew I wanted to work somewhat with comps.

When I was a kid, I wanted to fly.
...I still wanna fly gonk
But if I understood this correctly, when I was a kid, I wanted to create video games. I thought it was as easy as pressing a few keys, coming up with an idea, pitching it and sit back and wait for your game to be done. Hey, I was a kid. Anywho, I'm studying Computer Science and after I'm done, I hope to get into that industry. I'm glad I actually stickto my childhood dream rather than to settle with a mediocre job that pays well but won't make me happy...so far.

When I was a kid, I wanted to have a different job for every day, because I couldn't just pick one. I wanted to be a Firefighter, and a Ballerina, and a famous Actress/Singer, and a soccer star, and a Teacher, and a Missionary, and a veterinarian...etc.etc. My list changed daily.
I'm going to school to study Cyber Security, and work at Gamestop.
So...no.

Wait...I just thought about this. Speaking of Kane's computer thingy, do we need to discuss what we wanted to be or the toys we wanted?
Well, either way, when I was a kid, I wanted the Power Rangers megazoid, because it was AWESOME. And Video games. Lots of them. But now my dream came true thanks to my job at Gamestop. And because of the money I get, I could buy a Megazoid, I guess. So hooray, inner child!

Well, I meant when you look back on your life, if there were certain incidents that made it obvious what you were wanting to do as you got older. I've had moments relating me to other professions, around the same toddler age... like when I used to watch Bob Ross on PBS and draw on the walls >_>;;;;

Not really. I played videogames, but I didn't really get into the internet until I was older. Then again, I was always really good at picking locks and getting into places I shouldn't have fit. Like, hide and seek: I was a Boss. XD So, maybe that would have something to do with going into hacking? I'm not really sure. :/
@K: You work at GameStop too? That's pretty neat. ^.^ How long you been working for GS?

lol, i was looking through some old papers, and I found evidence of what I wanted to be before anything that i can actually remember (for some school assignment where we had to put what we wanted to be. I have to dig it back up because there was a list of four professions, I can remember two of them, an ice scater, and a taxi driver XD. I was ambitious.

Oh... >/>; Then I stand by what I said. Playing games was what I was good at when I was a kid. I'm also good with sport, drawing and music. But video games was my calling.

I've only wanted to make video games for the past couple years or so... Actually I feel inventing is my calling. I already have an actual feasible idea for a Hovercraft involving magnetics and lifting fans.... Won't say any more than that. I now just require some research money, which is what most of my job money will go towards. (If i can ever find a job.)

I wanted to be a fighter pilot.. Then fourteen years of growing up, followed by two years of no haircuts and art classes I realized I was chasing the dream of graphic design. But one psychology class swung me toward my goal I have now. A PhD in Criminal Investigations and Psychology.
