It was certainly not the biggest aquarium in town, but it was lively and certain geared more for families with younger children. There were lots of different hands on tanks with different fish and aquatic creatures, from star fish and snails to hermit crabs and baby sharks. There were lots games and arts and craft tables, educational of corse, as well as a simulation ride. There was even a quiz game that you got at the entrance and if you complete each question at the end when you left you could get a prize. It only cost $5 for a child under 6 and about $10.50 for an adult. In an open air courtyard there was a small lunch stand too to sit and take a break.
What better place than this to help stretch a growing mind's creativity? Nothing was quiet like looking into an alien world and see just how different creatures could be. But then again Spawn children were rather alien to most. But still it could not hurt a spawn to see more 'natural' oddities and wonders.
Keal stood in line waiting to purchase tickets to enter the aquarium. He had his furred ear alert to the sound of his young spawns soft furry foot falls. Standing in line was boring for anyone so he all agree to let Boian play at a near by dancing water display. That little toddler was a ball of energy.
Boian giggled as he knelt down his grey furred hands ready to catch the next shot of water. There as no way it was going to get away from him this time. No way he was ready for it. The short little spawn's tail flicked much like a cat's did as he waited. He was fast for a spawn when it came to things but so far this water had beaten him at ever squirt. His indigo eyes were shaded but his duel colored locks as he readied his little muscles. Only to have a burst of water soot out past his hands leaving him to wait again. Okay this time he would get it for sure.

"You'll never catch it," came a relatively deep voice from behind the fuzzy little spawn. Ciúin towered over the little Greed spawn; the Gluttony blood causing him to be much taller than most spawn his age. "If you do manage to grasp it, it'll just go through your fingers. It's water." The larger spawn spoke as if it were obvious.
His clawed feet clicked along the ground a he walked to where the water was landing and splashing. His toes wiggled at the feeling of water on his feet. "You're better off trying to catch it here," he pointed, "Like this." He cupped his hands and placed it low to the ground.
He wasn't that good at coming off as friendly, but he wasn't trying to be snobby either. He was just stating facts, giving information. If the little spawn had said anything to him, he didn't notice. His nearly deaf ears were of no use to him out here. All he heard was noise. And he hated it.

Boian jumped when he heard someone speaking. His ears lowered as he turned to look up at the spawn who spoke. As he looked up at the larger male his tail curls around his legs. Wow he was a big spawn. He must be a child at least. Indigo eyes turned back to look at the water, "I know it is water...I just wanted to touch it." he said softly though he heard the other spawn's clicking of claws as he moved away. That was not nice walking away like that. But the greed spawn's anger faded quickly.
With a smile on his lip Boian padded over to the other. OH he was just showing me how to get it! he though happily. Compaitivly his furred feet were nearly soundless as he walked even the small glittering jewels mixed in with both fur and flesh did not make much sound. Squatting down he moved to cup his hands like the Gluttony spawn. "Like this?" He was currently clueless to the other's hearing issues.

Ciúin nodded, seeing the fuzzy Greed spawn imitate him. He hadn't heard a word he'd said, though. He scooted a bit as the water squirted towards them. Some water splashed into his hands, some in Boian's, and the rest on the ground.
The aquatic-loving spawn stared at the water longingly before it slipped through his hands. His bi-colored eyes looked up to Boian, satisfied with him helping the smaller spawn. Without much else, Ciúin stood and walked off. To those not aware of his condition, he probably seemed pretty odd.
He rejoined his mother, Moira, as she waited in line to get tickets. Her curly red hair and short, somewhat stocky build was easy to find in the mass of people. His height sure helped to... and her waving at him. "Find a friend?" she signed to him with her hands. She smiled, hoping that the answer was affirmative. It was hard for him to open up to people and not be "snobby."
It took him a minute to process what was "said," this form of communication was still new to him. "Friend? Doubtful," his melancholy tone was normal. Moira frowned. "He might be a spawn though." Ciúin shrugged, a little flicker of hope in his voice. He really wouldn't mind a friend.

Boin's face lit up as a bit of water splashed into his hand. He giggled and turned his face to smile up at the larger spawn. "Oh fun! Thank you!" He looked a bit confused as the other spawn headed away from him. That again was not very nice. But still the other had helped him catch the water. He smiled and with his hands still wet ran over to Keal holding his darken furred hands up. "Lookie! I caught water!" His ears and tail were held high with pride. "That spawn helped me!"
Keal looked down at Boian. They were one person away from getting the tickets and heading in. "OH did you now? And you thanked this spawn right?" He watched Boian's enthusiastic nod. "Well that is very good and you made it right in time. Look we are next and we can go in. Maybe you can meet your friend inside too. You should get his name if you want to be friends."
Boian's indigo eyes swirled, that is right he should get the other spawns name. Even if he walked off all the time it was still good to know the name of someone who helped you out.

Moira held on to Ciúin's normal hand as they continued through the line. He was well-behaved, common for him. His usual unamused expression hid his excitement to enter the aquarium, where he'd be surrounded by water. He was happy that it was just him and his mother. It's not that he didn't want to share his time with his mom, he wasn't a Greed spawn. No, he just didn't like the fact that his sister, Bleez couldn't handle her own temper. And that inability almost always caused problems. He wanted this to be a nice, relaxing, education trip.
His tail swayed lazily as they approached the ticket booth. Sensing the presence of fish, his stomach instinctively growled. Moira chuckled, tugging on his hand until he looked up at her. "Food?" she signed. Ciúin nodded, his bright red hair falling in front of his eyes. Ugh, that was annoying. He really needed to figure out what to do with his hair... it was such a mess.
"One adult, one toddler," Moira told the clerk who looked at Ciúin with a questioning stare. That kid was only a toddler? He was huge, though. Moira guessed why the attendant was staring and explained.
"Ah, one of the lab kids, shoulda guessed." the clerk replied, then added the obvious, "Big kid."
Moira laughed, a little uneasy, taking the tickets from the attendant and handing one to Ciúin who'd proceeded to look around the entrance for the first thing to find... a snack bar.

Boian giggled and ran into the first open air court yard. He smiled and his tail swayed a bit. He was wondering what to do first. There was so much to go and do. And he did want to thank the other spawn for helping him catch the water. So he turned and clasped his hands behind his back and rocked on his naked feet. Keal had tried to get him to wear shoes but he was like many spawn and could not stand the feel of shoes on his furred feet. So he rocked on naked feet waiting for the tall spawn.
As soon as the gluttony spawn made it threw the gate he padded over, "Thank you very much for helping me get the water. You really helped me." He smiled brightly his ears were up and alert.
Keal watched his young spawn and smiled at the red headed woman with with larger spawn. He like his spawn was a bit clueless about one of the 'defects' of the new gluttony line of spawns.

Ciúin stopped abruptly as the tiny spawn from before rocked in front of him. A confused look crossed his face. He had no idea what this toddler was saying.
Moira caught up to the two in time for Boian to express his thanks. Ciúin looked up at her, a pleading look in his eyes but not his face. She again smiled, uneasily, this time at Boian, "I'm sorry, 'un, he can't understand what you're saying." She looked up to Keal and continued, "He's partially deaf."
Ciúin watched his mother carefully. No doubt, she was explaining his condition. It did annoy him that he couldn't understand what was being said and that Moira kept glancing or gesturing to him. He didn't like having to have special needs.
"'ere, try saying thank you like this," Moira showed the sign for "Thank you" to Boian. "It means thank you and 'e can understand you that way."
The Gluttony spawn's wings shuttered in irritation as his mother showed this kid he didn't even know how to "say" something to him. His aggravation was short-lived however, as he realized what sign it was. This sign language was going to take a LONG time to learn, he thought.

Boian looked a bit confused when the larger spawn just seemed to stare at him. He looked up at the human female as she came over. He was confused when she spoke. He looked over at his wolf guardian, "What does deaf mean."
Keal gave smile and placed a hand on Boian's head between the soft peach fuzz covered ears. "It means he can not hear. But partially means that it is not fully. So that means that he can still hear a bit."
Boian put a furred hand to his lips, "Oh so he can not hear really well." he looked back up to the woman and smiled softly, "Oh cool he can understand hands?" Mimicing the hand motion he smiled and moved to where he could be seen by the larger spawn. He tossed his cape back and with a smile signed 'thank you'. He looked back up to Moira, "When can he hear? Is there a special way he hear?"

"You're welcome," Ciúin replied flatly, and signed back. It wasn't in his nature to get super excited about... anything really. The most excitement he showed was a quickened paced to food, water, or fire.
"'e can 'ear when 'e's in water," Moira explained to the little Greed spawn. She even signed everything out, in case Ciúin was watching. She didn't want him to feel like he was being left out or anything.
"Mother, can we get something to eat?" Ciúin tugged on her shirt sleeve. His stomach was growling and he didn't like it feeling that way.
'Yes' she signed to him. "Excuse us just a moment," the human woman addressed Keal, "Gluttony spawn." She chuckled, as if to say 'what're you gonna do' and headed to the snack counter with Ciúin in toe.
The Gluttony spawn's head tilted slightly at the little spawn. He didn't look anything like him or his sister. What mixture of sin and virtue could he be? "Would you like to join me?" he added last minute.

Boian's eyes lit up as Moira explained that he can hear in water. "Oh wow does that mean he can breath water too?" He asked though his eyes flicked back to the gluttony spawn. He smiled brightly and his tail swayed a bit stiffly but like a dogs, "Can I? I would like that! You are very interesting! So can you breath water." it seemed that though he had just been told that it was hard for the other to hear above water, toddlers will be toddlers and he was full of questions about his new 'friend'.
Keal gave a nod of his his, "Ah I see. Looks like you have a very interesting child. You seem so calm with him, I take it he is not your first?" He asked and smiled at the fiery looking woman. "I guess we can have a snack or lunch now before we head on in. If you don't mind if we join you miss."

"Sorry deary, but no, 'e can't breath in water." She chuckled as the little half fuzzy spawn questioned her and followed them to the line. Her attention was then directed to Keal. "Oh, thank you!" she laughed again, "Ciúin is actually my second child. Bleez, my daughter, is quite the handful. Ciúin might have 'is special needs, but he's so much easier to deal with." Moira gave a tired little sigh. "Bleez is a Wrath child, and I must say that she shows that part of 'er very frequently."
Ciúin waited patiently in line, staring forward, only allowing glances over to a shallow pool to his side. There were many people gathered around the touch pool, dipping their hands in. He wouldn't admit it, but Ciúin was intrigued.

Boian gave a nod, his silver furred ears lowering a bit in thought,"Then he must be able to hold his breath a long time." he looked over the red headed male spawn. He gave a smile and thought that it was a pity that so far he had only met male spawns. Though it would seem that the gluttony spawn had an older sister. That could play out well. He reached out a furred hand that glinted slightly in the light to tap the other's shoulder. When the taller spawn looked over her motioned like he was eating and then shrugged, "What are you going to eat?"
Keal gave a whistle and shook his head, "You are quite a woman if you can handle two. And a wrath one at that. I am just glad so far Boian has not been too greed like just yet. Though.."and her he leaned in a bit closer, "I fear for the ladies when he does. He has taken up a small habit of wanting the human ladies hearts. He hates to see any woman upset."

"Ha! I don' know about that!" Moira laughed, her face flushing a bit. This man was flattering her far too much!
Ciúin looked down at the smaller spawn. His head tilted to the side as he watched the pantomime. "I am not sure what I will be eating. I cannot read yet." he confessed, staring at the partially glinting furred one. His eyes rarely blinked and it was almost like staring into the eyes of a hungry shark. Surely the gluttony spawn wouldn't eat anything that wasn't food!
The line moved until they were finally up to the window. Moira grabbed Ciúin's attention and asked him what he'd like, explaining that there were hot dogs, hamburgers, and various sandwiches. "Fish," he replied flatly, signing the word back.
"Okay," the red head turned towards the attendant, "Two fish sandwiches." She handed over the money and scooted to the pickup window to allow Keal and Boian to order as they waited.

Boian smiled, "Oh i can't read either." He admitted proudly, "Keal is teaching me." he could not think of anything very good to pantomime but he did act like he hand a book and was looking at it before shaking his head and shutting the book and then pointing to Keal when he spoke about learning to read then point to himself opening the book then gave a thumbs up. The poor greed spawn was buttering any attempt at sign language but at least he was giving it a shot. Though the other's eyes never seemed to look away from his hands and this caused Boian to blush and lower them, "S..sorry I guess I am not doing it right huh?"
Keal gave a wolfish little grin and nods, "Oh but I think it is true. Heck I am still unsure that I can handle this one and You took on a second. That is very impressive." He let Moira order and waited for Boian and his turn.
Boian listened as Moira explained the menu to Ciúin, "I want a hot dog and cheese fries!" he said up to Keal. When the wolf raised a brow he giggled, "I want a hot dog and cheese fries PLeasE."
Keal nodded and gave a smile, "That is better." he got up to the counter and ordered a hot dog, extra large order of cheese fries and a shredded turkey sandwich. Having paid he walked over to pick up their order. "Boian why don't you and Ciúin go and find a seat for us?"
Boian smiled and gave a nod, "Come up Ciúin lets get a seat!" He started to head off towards the table stopping only to see if the other spawn was following him and if not he would wait and motion for the gluttony spawn to follow.
