SRP between two of my characters at very border of the pride.
With her long legs, and recent growth into adulthood, Aphrodite was very pleased with how she turned out. She came out to a good size, thanks to her mother’s large stature. The female was on the border of the pride, going to see about hunting for the moment. There weren’t many cubs in the pride, but that still didn’t mean she couldn’t go out and see about bringing some food for the pride. Her pink orbs gazed out at the grasslands that were starting to green more the farther she got from the ocean. It had such a different smell and feel, compared to her home on the shore.
Green eyes gazed at the changing landscape. It was changing in not only sight but in smell. Velius’ nose twitched slightly as it stung a bit. The air smelled different, he must be getting closer to a body of water then, as he could feel the humidity making his mane feel thick and heavy. He had never been to the ocean before; this would clearly be a first. As he could feel the ground beneath his paws change, he spotted a dark figure some ways off. Well, at least he’d get company! He called out to her, “Hello!”
The sound of a voice calling out to her made her pause. Where was the source? She scanned the area carefully before spotting the white male some ways off. She called back to him, “Hello!” She walked over in his direction to investigate this newcomer. As she got closer she asked, “What brings you out here all the way to the Bahari’mtoto pride? Have you come to visit the sea?” This was something standard she asked everyone new that she happened to come upon while out hunting in and around the borders of the pride.
His eyebrow raised slightly, unaware that he had traveled so far. And even more surprised that there was a pride around here. He didn’t expect to see anyone, much less a whole pride here! Velius replied, “I am surprised to learn that a pride lives all the way over here. I had no idea…guess I learned something new today.” He paused for a moment before dipping his head in respect, “I am Velius, it is a pleasure to meet you. I have indeed come to visit the sea today, I have never seen it before and would like to see the wonders that I have heard so much about.”
As the male introduced himself, she felt it was only proper to introduce herself as well. “A pleasure, Velius. I am Aphrodite of the Bahari’mtoto pride.” She flicked her tail slightly as her head tilted ever so slightly, “I only ask what your plans are, as you are in our pride and we have cubs. We are a peaceful pride and wish no harm to come to the cubs, therefore we ask that you don’t start trouble within the pride and you’re allowed to visit the sea as long as you like.” She nodded as she spoke to him.
Her pride’s terms and conditions were reasonable as he nodded in agreement. “I have no such desires to bring harm to your pride’s young ones, nor do I wish to stir any trouble within the pride. I am simply here as my curiosity got the better of me.” He spoke honestly to the female, before asking, “If I may, could you show me the way to the shore? I wouldn’t want to happen upon a pride member’s den by accident. I’d be so embarrassed!” He told the truth, it’d make him so uncomfortable if that were to happen.
With a nod of her head, she glanced at him, “But of course. Please follow me as I show you the way to the shore. Make sure to don’t get lost!” She winked playfully at the male before turning back to the direction of her pride. She carefully stepped on the ground, as to not step on anything sharp. Making her way through the area, she glanced back every now and then to make sure that Velius was behind her. Her ears flicked back to him, to make sure he was close by.
As she agreed, he smiled brightly. This would be quite an adventure! His tail flicked from side to side as he followed closely after the female. As the pair traveled forward, he noted how the scenery changed from green to gold. The air was completely different as well, as was the smells and the sounds. This was so bizarre and amazing! His eyes were wide, as he took everything in.
The sound of the waves crashing onto the shore made her smile. It reminded her that this was home. Stopping on the sands of the shore, she glanced to the left and to the right. Ah, no one was around here. That was good. She was still wary about outsiders, so this was a farther part of the shore that he could enjoy without getting too close to the pride for comfort. “Here we are! And this is the majestic ocean who provides plenty for us.” She told him.
If he thought some of those ponds he saw earlier were big, this was nothing in comparison! His eyes were wide as he gasped in awe. “Wow! This is more than I ever imagined!” He exclaimed! He took a few steps forward, oh how he was going to have fun here at the beach. He glanced back at her and dipped his head in gratitude, “Thank you for your help, Aphrodite!”
She blushed and smiled at him, “It was my pleasure. If you need anything, don’t hesitate to ask any one that you see first.” She told him before turning to head back off to get some food for the pride. With a last glance at the male, she bade him farewell, “Perhaps I shall see you again. Have a pleasant time and a pleasant trip to wherever you head after this!”
As the female turned to leave him be, he thanked her, “Thank you again, Aphrodite! I shall make sure to say your name if I come across someone. Have a pleasant day!” He watched her leave before going to the water to investigate and enjoy this time.
