Seth could only imagine what was in store for him in the Boss's office. He honestly tried not to think about it. But considering he was the superior officer in this ordeal, the majority of the blame would fall on his head despite doing everything by the book. Even if it was partly brought on by initial anger and humiliation. However, Seth was not one to make up excuses to cover his a**. He would simply give the Boss the facts and be done with it. Come what may.
Seth briskly strode across the hallway from his office and to the elevator. Lucere was undoubtably waiting for him in his office. Why the Boss hadn't decided to ream him then and there, he wasn't sure. Possibly he had withheld due to TRP's presence.
The elevator doors slid open and Seth stepped inside. The man folded his arms and waited to be taken to the top floor.

Lucere was seated behind his desk, stroking the head of a shiny houndoom standing beside him. The fact the rare Pokemon's fur nearly matched Lucere's hair probably wasn't coincidental.
He looked up when Seth entered and gestured at one of the chairs opposite his desk, "Have a seat." As Seth sat he stopped petting his canine companion, who abandoned its master's side to sit near the large panoramic window and glare at Seth.
"I trust everything is back in order?"

Seth stepped out of the elevator and sat himself in the chair at Lucere's prompting after yet another salute.
He had faced many situations like this with his step father before, thus he had become rather callous to them. Plus back then Seth had been considerably younger. This caused the elite to wear a rather stoic expression as he sat before his boss and ignored the glaring Houndoom.
"Yes, sir." Was the flat reply, simply waiting for whatever reprimanding words Lucere would be throwing at him.
One thing was for sure. Seth was having a really, REALLY, bad day.

"Good." He nodded, not looking particularly pleased, "I'm told the original source of the incident was the grunt.." He paused a moment, eyeing his computer screen and wrinkling his nose, "....Leet. As I understand it, he hacked the email database to gain access to Agent Kunai's account. Is that correct?"

"Yes, sir." Again a short and simple reply to Lucere's question. If the Boss wanted him to expound, he would surely ask. Right now was not a good time to try the man's patience.
Seth sat there unmoving, almost looking like a statue in the seat that he currently occupied.

"An unannounced complete system reset is a last resort measure to be used only if the database has been infiltrated by an outside source. Only if the threat of the system attack exceeds the dangers of shutting us down. Should our whereabouts be at risk of exposure. Or our data at risk of being leaked to authorities. These are examples of situations that would warrant a system-wide shut down.
"As you know, while our systems are inoperative we're rendered woefully defenseless. Our eyes in the desert, Kodo and the rest of the world vanish. Without warning of the shut down valuable work is lost. Time and money are wasted with every unsaved file that reset erases. Some delicate experiments are ruined completely. An unannounced system reset is a dangerous stunt that jeopardizes our safety and costs me money.
"So I'm sure you'll understand why I want to be so clear on this point. You did it not because the Kodo police force had accessed our files. Not because someone was leaking critical information." Lucere leaned back and steepled his fingers, "You did it because the email database was manipulated by an internal party with the ultimate goal of distributing poorly edited pictures of you in a dress."

Seth was silent as Lucere said his piece, and once he was done, the elite made eye contact with him. The man posed a good point indeed, and this had not escaped Seth's mind during the ordeal.
"I understand, sir. However, with all due respect, for all we know he could be the mole." The person that had leaked information to the police was certainly still out there.
"Despite my personal humiliation, I was following procedure since the mole is an internal party. Leet certainly has the capability of hacking into the system and extracting valuable information, and such a prank could easily be used as a distraction. Sir. Regardless, I will take full responsibility for my actions, however you see fit."

Lucere sighed, "It's unlikely he's the mole. Whomever's been passing on our information is subtle... skirting around our blind spots. Leet spends too much time loudly drawing attention to his talents. I don't believe the person we're looking for would advertise their capabilities so carelessly." Lucere tapped a finger on his desk, looking thoughtful, "Regardless, I understand your line of thinking. That doesn't change the fact that your actions today were fueled, at least in part, by your anger and your damaged ego. You've known what Leet is capable of for a long time, but you chose to act only once he'd managed to embarrass you. In the future you'll report concerns regarding mole activities to me before haphazardly taking action like you did today. Is that clear, Mr. Kaiba?"

Now it was Seth's turn to sigh, as he closed his eyes momentarily. The Boss's reasoning was logical, although he didn't entirely agree with it. But it was Lucere's decisions and opinions that mattered in the end. And he had called him out on one of his greatest faults, Seth's rash and impulsive decisions when angered. Once again he had allowed 1337 to push his buttons.
"Yes, sir. I apolgize." He replied stoically. The Boss being one of few people he would actually admit any fault to.

Lucere evaluated Seth's stoic expression, "You'll be suspended from mission duty for a month. Instead you'll be training new recruits. I'm assigning Leet's punishment and interrogation to Agent Kunai. I don't want you dealing personally with the matter of his mole investigation any more. You can't evaluate someone properly if they can mess with your head as easily as he does." He paused several moments, looking thoughtful, "And tell Agent Pierce that the next time she runs away from me to warn a peer that I'm coming she'll be joining them in my office."

His stoic expression remained thus, a wall against his thoughts and emotions. He didn't react when told he was to be suspended from mission duty, again, for a month. It was a suiting punishment, although inconvenient, but considering what Lucere could have done... it was a slap on the wrist.
However, Seth's jaw did tighten a little bit when TRP was mentioned.
"Understood, sir."

Upon being dismissed, Seth rose from his seat and saluted one final time before turning and making his way to the elevator. Which he then took to the elite floor. Walking down the hall, he then stopped at TRP's door and knocked on it. His stoic expression still remaining.

Seth stepped inside, folding his arms across his chest once again. Brows furrowed and his face remained in a perpetual scowl.
"I've been suspended from mission activity for a month. I'll be training new recruits in that time." He turned to face her and lifted his brows. "A slap on the wrist."
